it would be cool if the box that they poured paint onto was made of glass. that way they could put a camera under it and get footage of what it looks like on the under side.
A kaleidoscope doesn't need to be considered art for it to be beautiful or fun. This looks both fun and beautiful. I wouldn't buy one as an art piece, but it looks like a lot of fun to make.
+Jeremy Miner 120,000 thumbs up for your comment. My sentiment, exactly!
Jeremy Miner good for you!
And I'm beginning to really appreciate what it takes to mix those paints correctly so that they flow and dry correctly. There might not be particularly hand skills, but there are certainly many skills involved.
Trying to figure out the recipe, do you have any idea?:-)
The great thing about this is that it really brings art within the reach of ppl who want to try it! I'm a classically trained landscape artist. I've done archival, as well as impressionistic still lifes, florals and landscapes. I wanted to venture into abstract and I LOVE THIS!!! Now I plan to do one and hope to display it in my home. LOVE IT!!!
Do you know what kind of paint they use for this? Thank you!
Stacey Kersting yes very beautiful art.
Why does this make me really happy?
I am one of the 6K who actually like this. Unlike so many on here I am NOT an art expert. Geez, I never knew so many existed. Just because art is one's career doesn't necessarily mean you are the ultimate authority on what others should like. From the thumbs up vs. Thumbs down stats it looks like more people like it... AS I DO!! Commercials try to persuade people to like their products. Art "experts" try to persuade you to like their views of art. I LIKE THIS. My home has quite a few pieces of eclectic art. It's not everyone's thing. It is mine. It's OK if it's not your thing!! CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?
I love, love, love this!!!
Wow...that is a lot of paint...and wonderful results.
I'm totally speechless! My mouth is still opened wide!
Whaaaat??? Extreme pour painting! Very cool!
oh. my.....this is everything I ever wanted in an art project. I feel awakened and alive. INCREDIBLE. It's like magic. That must have felt like what fairies and unicorns feel every day...in their livers.
Thank you. Very inspirational.
OH wow, would love to make some of these as decoration, or seating, or plant stands, or tables, for my patio. Or.....the ideas are endless. I do this on canvases. Just wow!!! 👍🏻
What an excellent project!!
Best thing I've seen all day. The music helped set the mood :)
whatever they're doing is pretty satisfying
I did this when I was a little kid. Got the idea from the kids spinart device. Then later we did the same thing in 3rd grade art class only on a smaller scale and on small wood blocks of various sizes. I wouldn't have thought they did this outside of elementary school. I was expecting it to go somewhere and get more interesting. I still enjoyed it though, brought me back.
Wow! That looks so fun!
Flippin awesome!!!
Awesome Time Lapse and Cool Paintings!
Spellbinding to say the least, great work, love it,thanks for the look & see.
Was so nervous watching them step so near that gorgeous flow but they never did! So beautiful
Delightful, thank you.
The video of the moving paint is so beautiful.
the colours are awesome!!!
How fun is this! I love it!
Art is a medium by which you express yourself and invite others to express themselves. If you express yourself with honesty yet your audience's only expression offered is 'That's not art' you have still achieved your goal.
this is incredibly BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful!!!
Words can destroy something, but this is real.
Love your work
this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
cool technigue, with all the ways out there one can do fluid art ,this took some thinking outside the box and I applaud for such,I am a fellow artist of 30 plus years mainly in oils but have dove into fluid art this past year as it allows me to express myself in a no pressure way as I had a major stroke a year ago and my painting arm/hand is now paralyzed ,and although I have trained my other hand to paint, it has been more of therapy than just pleasure, but fluid art brings just that ,pleasure, fun, I love experimenting with technigues for diff results trying to find my own niche, and seen this it is very expressionistic and again as someone who knows applauds you for creating outside the box.. David Henderson @a stroke of art
Why would you not film a overhead view...???? you miss out on the symmetry of the paint falling.
wow wow wow that has given me inspiration Thanks
INCREDIBLE!
simply brilliant!
Nice video, thumbs up. Cheers from sunny Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.
Looks like a lot fun :)
i love these works very very much!!!!
Awesomeness!!
That was damn fun.
That made me so happy.
this is awesome.
very creative!congrats
Looks cool!
Reading the comments on youtube is like walking into the middle of an argument at a family reunion.
lol so true.
Inubran Tain it is.
Sometimes it is like walking thru a mine field. Lol
I love this and gonna borrow it.... Thanks... LOL
Happy Thanksgiving 😸
bravo. I like to do this style of painting to, the time lapse of it makes it SO COOOL
Okay. I just came up with a semi-retirement gig. In my dreams. Very cool art.
Wow this is amazing :D !
That is way cool!
I like doing landscapes in oil and acrylic, but doing a pour is oddly satisfying sometimes. Its like something we do in Minnesota - agate hunting. Like these paintings, you never know what your going to get.
that looks amaaazing
wow that was cool and man that last one was really beutifull
I love this so much
Art is meant to cause a reaction, a feeling. Many of you are reacting to this. Whether positive or negative, it's causing you to feel something.
That is art. But so simple. But i dont agree its painting. Doesnt have nothing to do with painting!
When i used to make them 50 years a go i used automotive paints, duco and dulon . Before acrylic paints come out.fast drying and colorfull outcomes
this is real art
Amazing!!
this video was awesome :P liked and subbed
Espectacular, compraria uno para decorar mi sala 😃
I don't get why people thinks it takes talent or skill to create art. art is more than that. there is a big difference between someone who is skillful drawer or painter and an artist. an artist speak to its audience and be able to express their feeling towards them through their art even if what they have done is not something as skillful or technical an art that speaks will always still be better. Art is more than perfect sketches, perfect shading, or perfect shapes. sometimes perfect don't say anything it's just silent. Art uses a lot of symbolism too, it's a story you have to read through it. An art is not something you always expect it to be, art is a form of indivuality. so if yall don't even understand art don't even bother telling someone who's passionately expressing themselves through art say that what they're doing is not art because it is.
Beautiful
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well said
And this music sucks
it is truly inspiring!
Wow...I think I need to go and buy a lot of paint!
wow :) very creative
FÁNTASTICO!
Waaah! I wanted to see the finished product! :(
Lovely.
WoW!! You should make a tower of boxes and drop the colours from a ladder!!!!
OMG< this is SOOOOOOO trippy, i want to do that too.
instead of drinking alcohol on my 18th bithday i want to do something like thins
same
Omg lol!😂😂😂 I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING HAHAHA
So did you?
La ve lo que arte muy hermoso que darte los felicito son unos artistas
amazing
amazing..
I love this
A waterfall of color. A melting multicolored candle.
i loooooooooooveeee mhhhh paintttt mhhhhh
that looks cool
wow wow wow!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love the freedom, boldness and fun of this process. However! I think that many young artists nowadays are missing the great quality of contemplation. There are a couple of moments during these processes when the colour scheme is so balanced and visually appealing that they would have left them there if they only had taken a step back to breath, watch and flavor the view. a Zen approach would be ideal with this kind of technique.
stunning colour choices! Must be an oil based paint so that the colours don't mix. Just great work guys!
awesome..,
Dude, I want to try this on my college campus, I and some friends have an art club and I think this would go well at an event ..
@supermburu how can you say that... this is ART
Cool concept! I noticed one of these things hanging on the wall in the background - not sure if this is intended to be hung up, since its rather 3 dimensional, but I would have liked to see a picture of the painting from the top at the end of the video. Regardless of that - great stuff =)
And then...??? It looks fun to make, and the results are huge. Since the pour, how long did it take to cure, then protect and probably sale. Just curious where the pieces ended up.
near ending of video: 'wow this music is really good, and really suits the video, i wonder who it is and how they found such good music... i'd never know what to choose as music if i made a video like this... probably beethoven or mozart'
look under views
"Artist: Philip Glass"
ahh that explains why i loved the music :D
well done lads, very cool video
Wow well pluck me, some people having some fun pouring paint and making pretty patterns and everyone gets all down putting about it in the comments far out.. is no one allowed to have fun with paint anymore? Mamma Mia!
I find the video to be more interesting than the painting [ACT > RESULT] Holton, you should make more videos of your paintings and then project your recording onto the finished pieces and create installations that way.
What kind of paint is used for this?
به راستي زوور جوانه 👍👏
How do you mount the finished product? I am thinking a lot lately of doing 3-D pours, but am not sure what substrate to use. Also, how do you cut out the shapes?
Amazing idea...Loved it.. which paint will be most suitable for this kind of work?
Does he nail the plywood together to make a box or does he glue it?
Dude i love these pours you do, what do you put in it to make it stay together when it's still dripping, or how do you make a dry why it's in suspended motion..... I don't know if I said that properly but basically what is the recipe! lol
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!
how much pouring medium is that! Must be $1,000 or more per painting just in the medium alone
what type of paint is that?
what kind of paint are they using?
I like it.
what kind of paint r u using, regular house paint or acrylic?
wow!!
