Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success, selling over 7 million copies.[4]
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.
Customization options have also been increased in Battlefield 4, with all new camos available for every gun. A new "adaptive" camo has been introduced that can adapt the camo to the map being played without the player having to change camos every map. Camos can now be applied to jets, helicopters, tanks, transport vehicles and guns. Previously this option was introduced to parachutes but has been removed, emblems are now printed onto parachutes.

99% of the players don't teamplay, even ONE squad that's dedicated to either antitank, countersnipe and of course AA can tilt the scale greatly.
Try squad out, sounds like itâs a good game for u, but ur choice ultimately
One game in Shanghai our team was losing badly but I was in a 5 man squad and the leader took the initiative and we were using the helicopter to take back the map

Can confirm. Me, My Brother, my uncle and two friends of mine usually play togheter. We have one go as a recon as a spotter and spawn beacon (usually play hc). Then the rest goes javelin.
We stay on the high ground and its devestating for the enemy team. Usually easy win of they can not managed to kill us over and over again.

On a game on midway we were losing so we grabbed a helicopter and started transporting random players to different objectives. I remember that being so fun haha. Think we almost made a comeback to win but we just ran out of time.

Ladies and gentlemen, this......this right here. This is the reason I play Battlefield. Meeting friends in a digital playground that share the same interests and just having fun through teamwork.
The Battlefield community are the most laid back gents and friendly team mates ever. I have made friends on Battlefield 3 that still to this day want to squad up and engage in that mysterious state of consciousness known as "FLOW." That magical moment when wrecking the enemy team becomes as natural as breathing.

Flying in Hardline: Only Helis, so pretty easy to learn and tear through enemies
Flying in BF4: stupidly hard, like having to read the aircraft instruction manual before flying

Bf4 flying is stupid, sometimes you just loop with the same guy 15 times around trying to keep 310 speed. It's dumb af. Flying in bf1 is much nicer (also looks better for ex. When the plane starts spiraling into the ground)
I prefer war thunder planes, its harder then bf4 but not as complicated as DCS.

I feel like matches are unwinnable when there is a pilot like this on the opposing team. He's getting so much work done.
You can still win the match. I have won the majority of matches against teams with great pilots. If the pilot is way better than you just let him try to take down some of your teammates who can't fly jets it will be more of a distraction for them. The only way to win is to have superior infantry, jets can't capture flags.

My games in AJ: enemy aa shooting actives through entire map, also constantly hitting me while 600m away even though I do random manouvers. Only available option to hit jdam from far above, then attack. Enemy uses active armor. So does boats while constantly sniping me with TVs. Enemy scout heli is usually a pub farmer, getting closer is isn't insta die, oh and stacked up enemies in both jets, so you can't really fight them, because obviously 2v1 always wins. I get game like this maybe 1 in 15. The level on servers where I play is so high, that I most of the time spent dogfighting and when I finally win, then theAA starts to kicks in. It's insane

I remember getting sly with the stinger with friends. Mostly choppers who suffered, but you could get a jet if he was to sloppy on the gun runs and a bit slow on the afterburner.

It pisses me off when you go on a server with Jets etc and the rules say no Lock On etc but the Jet etc has Lock On. Then you have the Admin killing everyone and when you blow them out the sky you get Banned đ it was worth it

I never was good at flying jets but when my friend which was decent was being followed hard I spawned with a stinger or a variant and told him to pass by my location to either bring the other guy down or make them brake off to let my friend turn the tables, I made most of my scoring from just helping around
That's why I fking like bf if u spend hours for hours days for days to master a vehicle u can dominate the whole enemy team by ur self

The Chinese dialog in bf4 is atrocious, like how much would it cost for dice to find someone who actually knows how to speak grammatically correct mandarin to write the dialog scripts.

This reminds me of a time in battlefield three when the enemy had a damn good pilot and I was the only one who could even survive long enough to keep them off of our troops. Longest I went with them was five minutes and that ended whenever he was about to shoot me down I drove straight up and it is the one and only time I ever jumped out of a plane and killed another jet with an RPG.
