- This map has always been a challenge for me, it's just got so much to do. If done correctly though, you can really make some huge impact. In this gameplay we destroy 57 tanks with the JDAM bombs and GAU cannons.

Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success, selling over 7 million copies.[4]
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.
Customization options have also been increased in Battlefield 4, with all new camos available for every gun. A new "adaptive" camo has been introduced that can adapt the camo to the map being played without the player having to change camos every map. Camos can now be applied to jets, helicopters, tanks, transport vehicles and guns. Previously this option was introduced to parachutes but has been removed, emblems are now printed onto parachutes.

as someone who cant fly a jet and mostly stays in tanks, a good jet player on the other team is fucking scary
Good jet players don't bother me, but heli abusers do. As soon as I start to win a fight with them they tuck tail and run to the AA turret. It is the worst part of the game, those turrets.
@@kingragnork Yeah Attack Jets are way more balanced imo. You need a good amount of skill and caution to really prosper. But Attack Choppers just sitting behind buildings and letting their gunner farm is so cancer and boring. Especially on maps like Shanghai were there's very little Anti Air and cover.
I respect a high kill jet, I hate a high kill chopper. However nothing more satisfying than sniping one out
Try using the cannister shell. It destroys air vehicles. Most chopper pilots have a bad habit of coming in low to do as much DPS. When they come in at you drive toward them with acitve protection. As they pass you can cannister them 99% of the time and kill them.
Also if you have a squad, equip the SUAV and PLD on a recon class while the squadmates use javelins. Depending on your height in relation tk the building the heli tries to hide behind, the javelin will go over the top and does 90dmg. If youve got a couple engineers to fire rockets, the choppers dont stand a chance.
@@callumclarke9384Shanghai is not hard to heli defend Iâm an absolute beast with solo no gunner heli fighting and Shanghai is dangerous as hell to fly on of your not smart. I would say operation mortar is more intimidating with a good heli/gunner pilot. Even less cover and a small area to cover

@@tommylanger7686 drop a jdam while your jet is upside down, then turn back around and by that time it would've reloaded. drop your second jdam and if you time it well, both jdams hit the vehicle at the same time and it insta kills it
i play this map almost exclusively and usually man the AAA, i'll usually get "most wanted" tagged within 20 mins or so. great job

I not the best but I play AA quite a bit. I worry most about good attack jet pilots with JDAM skills. Also C4 jeeps, buggies and jets, yes C4 jets!
Here are my tips:
1. Never sit in one spot, keep moving and don't drive in straight lines. Harder to hit with JDAM.
2. Equip air radar . If you are vigilant, its harder for jets to sneak up on you
3. Run 20mm guns, they rip up aircraft due to higher bullet travel speed and fire rate.
4. Use Zunis instead of missiles. Good pilots don't will avoid or survive missiles or all types. Zunis can be used against infantry and vehicles.
5. Use APS. Combined with air radar and some practice, you can avoid many JDAM/gun runs.
6. Use IR optics, not zoom. If enemy is far enough for you to need to zoom your guns will be ineffective. IR is useful against infantry, use regular optics against vehicle and aircraft. Always spot before you start shooting. Jet guns block you view but you can still see your our spot.
7. Get in the fight , run with a tank or two. You help keep them safe from infantry and air vehicles, and they protect you from other vehicles. A few zunis will allow a tank to win most tank on tank battle. Jets and helos aren't expecting you to be at a flag as 99% of AA people camp near their base and spam missiles.
8. Be patient and wait for the best time to fire at jets and helos. If you start shooting too early you can overheat your guns before getting a kill. In addition, good pilots will pull up or dive and go out of range. Wait until you know you can get the kill in one gun run. This along with learning how far to lead your shots takes practice. As an example, watch for jets making low altitude gun runs. Shooting at the right time will kill them out right or disable them and force a crash.
9. Know when and how to run (use your speed advantage and obstacles to avoid incoming rpgs and vehicle rounds).

11. Play on servers that have US vehicles on both sides. US AA is so much better than the Tangusta. Faster and looks like IFVs so harder to spot.
12. Play as engineer with repair. Try to get cover under a bridge or inside a building to repair if possible.
This is some god tier gameplay with god tier commentary. He talks about the tactics and moves heâs gonna make to were I can actually understand it and makes it look so easy.

Love your stuff. Iâm a tank/LAV player myself and I usually team up with my brother to use SOFLAM w/ guided sheâll or TOW. Itâs a pretty good defense against jets, but not perfect.

Yeah man that is powerful as hell soflam and the tank guided shell because once I get locked on with that on the jet even though I use ecm I still get killed even tho if Iâm at 100 health
I like to use tows from the lav to shoot down those jets. Its so sad that it only needs one good jet pilot to dominate all vehicles. Even the aa cant do anything if its busy. It has to deal with all ground units like c4 cars, tanks and infantry.

And also you are the reason I start drinking when playing battlefield đ my whole squad has an AA kit we will start running when people like you start up with the jets we will spread across the map and cover every space to keep constant locks on jets, also we utilize the AA tank combined with AA mines for dive bombs usually serves us quite well

When you are attacking another jet and you need to move up, do you tap your pitch up button or move your mouse? I often end up doing both and I think my accuracy suffers because of that. As I make sharp movements then small ones

I remember being in a LAV and some tryhard swooped down straight at me. They were really low down (about 10 meters) and tried to jdam me while shooting at me but I blew them up with a tow missileđ

In case nobody new, the secondary floating reticle that moves around in first person will help you line up your shot. I spent a good chunk of hours sharpening my jet skills without knowing that.
I dont know for sure but its basically like shooting rockets in the atk heli. Some kind of inertia calculator that adjusts for the forces your vehicle is applying to the ammo before it leaves the craft
its just the sighting range, they gave the attack jets realistic zeros as if this is a realistic game where you can even attempt realistic strafes.
