I think Goku's time with the humans is partially what made him so exceptionally strong because of Roshi's martial art training. Now not only does he have raw power but skill to match. So I think that Goku is stronger in the current universe as he is.

Man... if DBZ went down this route, it would have been so damn cool. Though I do like DBZ as is, I still say this twist makes the story a lot darker and possibly more entertaining. Evil Goku? Goku being trained by his brother and taught of the Saiyans ways? Vegeta reaching Super Saiyan before Goku and being the one who defeats Frieza? The quality of this plot is amazing. DBM is brilliant.

In Dragon Ball Yamcha was stronger then kid Goku well maybe not way stronger but he did defeat him. Yamcha was stronger then Krillin IMO. This is why Dragon Ball Z is the greatest anime ever. There's so many things that could have happened and so many what-ifs that leave you wondering. Goku wasn’t sent to earth to destroy everyone he was sent because Bardok knew that Freiza was going to destroy planet Vegeta so he sent goku (kakarot) to a planet with low power levels because goku was identified as a lower class warrior however you are right in saying that he probably would’ve hurt someone if he hadn’t been dropped on his head
Oh it gets worse people. In this story, Kakarotto was abused and conditioned to want to kill humans by his mother. He befriends Krillin who he is convinced is a turtle (since he wears a turtle shell). He recognizes Roshi as human and murders him. Krillin swears revenge, but eventually he kills Krillin as well. It's the only kill we see him regret even decades later. In fact, Kakarotto brags to Pan that he used to do something to little human girls (implied to be molestation or even rape) before he murdered them. This story is not pretty, but that's why I like it. It shows that Kakarotto still has Goku's good heart, but it is so buried beneath mental conditioning and insanity, that he can't access it and he fights against his good nature seeing it as an abomination against what is as a Saiyan and what he has become. Raditz is the only likable person from that universe despite being the weakest. He loves his brother and wants to save him, but even Raditz is still evil, just not as evil as Kakarotto, Vegeta, and Nappa. Oh and yes, Goku only survived his formative years on Earth by killing people as the Oozaru. By the time he kills Roshi, he barely, just barely wins.
Finally found a DBM Fan with some knowledge :) But I think the molestation and rape accusation were only speculations from fans. Salagir himself regreted he turned Kakarot into a "pervert" at the beginning because at the fight against Pan everyone assumed rape, etc. and Salagir was shocked that fans interpreted it that way. That's why we didn't see any "pervert" Kakarot for 6 years because Salagir scrapped it.

Well at least Raditz would've gotten more screentime if this happened. I'd really like to see a "Parallel Universe" series instead of DBS where Goku would eventually be the bad guy and villains like Piccolo and the Red Army would be the ones who'd struggle to defeat him.
