Great video, Tony. Interesting that the unit with old school analog meters looks like a new design - maybe they are going for the "Retro" market? As someone else mentioned, it would be interesting to see thermal images of it in operation. Regards, David

Another very useful PSU for HAM is the server PSU units. They are switchmode, but don't interfere with radios. And a 1500W is less then £20.00 on eBay.
Yes indeed.. i have a few of those too. but you need one that can go from 12v to 13.8 .. not all are very adjustable
It would be useful to see them connected to a programmable load with a 1 Hz load from 10% to 90% to simulate a CW or SSB TX. Monitor both voltage and current and see how stable it is. Many power supplies are designed for static, not very dynamic loads like amateur TX.

Would JF-60 be good enough for car audio amplifier repair use? Adjustable amperage is good thing indeed. I could get new one for only 127 euro's, while Maas or Manson costs like 500e.
The JF-60 for that price is a great deal. i think for car audio it could be good. a car alternator could also be a bit noisy, so car equipment can handle that, its far less sensitive than RF equipment. the Jetfon PC55 or simular looking are around 170 here in EU.

ik heb zo een jetfon gehad van 60A, Gaf storing op hf.. de verkoper lachte er eens mee.. ik heb hem met veel verlies verkocht...
Dank je voor je terugkoppleing, ja het zag er ook niet erg nieuw uit allemaal, en het gemis van de noise-offset gaf al een beetje in indruk dat hij niet echt for Ham is.
De PC55-SW en PC35-SW is prima trouwens, ik draai hem op de FT-dx10, geen probleem
