Brilliant in attack I agree terrible in defence and no BMT. POLLARD is by far the best. Goosen if he was looked after similar to Manie maybe just maybe his true potential would have manifested thereby I am not saying that he did not contribute too not accomplishing his true potential.
Exactly. Great in attack and his goalkicking was flawless in this game. This guy has absolute brutal speed off the mark and he must be the kick pass king! His lineout kicks are by far the best of all the rest.
easy taking those kicks when you're playing a marginal irish province...but you still want a pollard for those big RWC games. its all about temperament (libbok can still develop it hopefully)
At test level, he can grow, he has a few test matches compared to Pollard, who has been part of the Springboks for some time now. 😅😅😅
@@louisvanniekerk2612 The BMT narrative is lazy. Slotted goal line penalty vs Ulster on 80th minute in first URC semi final. Same thing against La Rochelle. Very very good against France in quarter final. Just slotted 12 from 12 on two must win away from home games in URC. He got yanked against England in turgid wet conditions. Some other big name players also very average in that game and we're not banging on about their BMT. He's allowed an average game from time to time, but harping on about his lack of BMT is garbage
The game was difficult to just sit back and enjoy with the terrible commentary. I counted at least 5 times they called the wrong name for the stormer players. Didn't even bother to to their homework. You watch a game hosted in SA and the commentators know every single player's name and they try to pronounce it correctly too, no matter which team is playing. Makes a big difference.

The commentary was pretty bad. At half time, I jumped into the shower and were doing some fake Irish accents trying to copy that guy. He was terrible.
Saffa commentary haven't a clue, would you stop, rarely do they pronounce European players names correctly.

Libbok plays and kicks brilliantly but still all you hear is, "He got subbed in the semifinal, his goalkicking isn't good". Can these British and Irish commentators comment on what they see in front of them.
Just so happy we pulled this one off. Bernard Jackman had nothing positive about the Stormers it was shocking commentary.

TMO involving himself when he is not called upon for Connacht but not for Stormers
Blatant penalties and unintentional offsides against Connacht the ref said he saw nothing and the tmo does nothing but as soon as they make a mistake with who gets a lineout the TMO steps in to give it to Connacht. Its not even subtle anymore. So glad we won this game Connacht is one of the worst games every season with the absolute farce that goes on at ruck time.

Great match through and through! Inconsistent at times, but we are really getting a hold of ourselves in terms of not constantly throwing the ball around and playing high risk Rugby. Evan concerns me, but it is a hurdle we can work on. Well done Connacht! You gave us a great challenge and for your budget, you are and incredible team that makes he most of what they have!

Never saw the game but listened to live commentary. Apparently the Ref had on his Ant-Stormers horse blinkers.
Disallowed try looked like a forward pass to me. Matters not in any case as we took the spoils.
So now saying “beautiful line”, “beautiful try” and “beautiful strike” is anti stormers 💀
It wasn't so much the ref, as it was his deputies on the side. They were dog shit and biased towards the home team. And where have you ever heard a deuchebag commentator like the one complaning that the Stormer's captain talk too much to the ref!?

I watched the whole game and it was a deserved win by the Stormers. The reffing team made sure Connacht got given every advantage while allowing the crowd to ref the game, from the sidelines. It was pathetic.

The commentary was dogshit
Irish Rugby really has come on in leaps and bounds, but the Irish commentary is at an all time low. No stress if the incorrect pronunciation of a name is used, happens all the time with foreign sides, but it’s the bias and cheap shot comments directed at opposition players and totally inability to show even slight neutrality. I’d rather just turn down the volume and have Christy Moore playing in the background. Yes he’s Irish too, but far more enjoyable.
It was awful. The one commentator called Herchell Jantjies an idiot at one point, which would've been appropriate for us to say as Stormers supporters but for a commentator who's from the hosting nation to say something like that is shocking and unacceptable.
@@markdanielleanderson4323 Yip, I heard that, I think he called him stupid. Jantjies went to pick up the ball that for a short time was beyond the last man’s feet at the ruck and was out. Ref missed it and penalised him for offsides. Instead of the commentator doing his job and watching the game, he called Jantjies stupid. The Irish commentators are making Welsh commentators look good. If only we could have the legendary Bill McLaren back, that’s the benchmark.

Atleast as far as their rugby fans are concerned. I cant tell you how many times I've seen them making fun of load shedding and more shockingly our farm murders just because a Bok fan made fun of their team's quarterfinal history. I've always seen them as great people but the fans are giving the Irish a bad name. Obviously you can't throw in everyone under that statement.
