Eh it will never be the same, ur cylinder walls may be different size, u may choose to use a different cam, or different ratio rockers and you will have to measure main caps and main bearings to see what size u need. It’s always going be different.

@@arixp9092 True and I see what your saying. I was thinking something along the lines of putting out a video 2 months in advance that a " follow along " video is coming out and here's the budget build parts list etc.. Alot could be done similar, but yeah , there's some things that won't match up for reasons you listed.

Haha! He's definitely A.D.D.😂 I did get a rough idea of what he was recommending in order to get that kind of horsepower.
*H* Beam Rods, Pistons by Wiseco, Crank Shaft by Texas Speed with the 4.00" Stroke, MLS Gaskets, LS7 Lifters, Bosch 210 Injectors, Turbos (Twin?), Machine shop service for the Line Hone and possibly having to add sleeves if there is severe damage, E85 fuel and being able to produce at least 25lbs. of boost.
If he gave the list in that order, the video would've been about 2min. long.😏 He could've spent the other 26min. talking about the importance of each product and service.😉

Hondas are making 1000hp with rod/piston engines, guys are making 1200hp on stock block 8.2 deck stuff, 700hp on stock 360 magnums, 600hp on gm 4.3 engines . All kinds of simple builds making tons of power. Fuel and tuning have come a long way among other things.

It handles boost better due to it being a rather thick block and usually cast iron as opposed to other LS Engines.

I've got a dirty 6.0 that is a comeback story. Shot a rod out of the oil pan but didn't scar nothing.
I would love to make it into a 408 stroker but I don't have the funds. I'll be buying one used piston and rod. Then rings and bearings and slapping it back together

it depends if you're adding boost or not. take this kids word with a grain of salt though. he thinks his local machine shop is the only place you can get your deck o-ringed. i shouldn't rag on this kid but he only says what he's heard, zero experience only money.

You don't have to pull the pan to get the pickup tube off. 8mm ratchet wrench and a piece of fishing line to keep the bolt out of oil pan does the trick.

Never done it before but I need to pull my pistons and rod combo out of one and send it in to a sho to have a custom piston made with a higher comp rate and can handle 1500-2000hp, as well as rods might Justin some molnar pwr adr rods, I’m trying to build a 1500hp boost engine modular Ford, trick flow ported 44cc head all the bells and whistles
