Someone once gave me a tip if you put a little vinegar in your cleaning water it helps so much to break down the yuk. IT really works great cleaning falcos and other tools.

We enjoy you folks, but just a suggestion. As a mechanist/fabricator I suggest to please focus the camera on the parts and the job, not on the presenter. We all know what you all look like, the task and the parts are the most important part of the instructions. For folks who are not mechanical, the close up visual of the parts is very important. Taking the videos from across the porch looks nice but folks need to see exactly what you are teaching.

My sweet hubs bought me felcos for xmas. They came with A tiny little gadget, blade?? I'm not sure what it was for, but sadly I lost it. I really think Cactus Jack, the cat, knocked it Into the trash can, he did my 40+ yr old embroidery scissors too 💔, yes I'm not leaving stuff on that table anymore, sorry, I digress. Would you please explain that little piece? Thank y'all for all your leadership in the world of plants.

Is there any hope of restoring rusted Felcos. A friend borrowed my #6's and returned them in a rusted condition. They must have left them out in the weather. 😢 Should I just buy a new pair (and never loan them again!)?
I’d say try the cleaning routine & see if it saves your falcons. Work hard with the steel wool on the rust so it gets smoother. Can’t hurt to try & save them!! Love those Felcos!!
@kathymomcilovich2939 thank you. Might try this. I think I did hear Jenny say if they are rusted, it is pretty much hopeless. A friend suggested I soak them in vinegar first. On thoughts about that suggestion?

If you kept the packaging of your felcros it contains a little gadget for loosening the screws.
The multi tool is much better plus it sharpens the blade. Jerry

Really you shouldn’t use water to clean your felcros
It’s okay we use the grease, just remember plants are made of water so ever time you cut on a plant it puts water on the clipper 😀 Jerry
