I know nothing about handling heavy equipment nor will I ever do so. I am a little old lady who is strangely attracted to your nice, informative videos.
Me too.
I can dig it
Looks like a very nice machine. Coming from C&C it should be knowing their reputation. Yes a thumb and quick disconnect. Keep the bucket for bigger jobs but change out that junk coupler. 1400 hrs its just getting broke in good, well except for that junk coupler. Sorry. Looks like a very reliable machine overall.
I'm an old man (lol) that did it all my life and now I'm disabled with a shot back from doing it.
I'm a 75 year old retired accountant. I've never done heavy equipment (albeit I spent 20 years in the Navy as a submariner, so I've worked in what one could call an industrial environment). But I enjoy Matt's videos. They show me a part of the world I've never really been involved in.
Glad everyone is enjoying this rockin new intro. Thanks for all the positive comments.
We got plenty more music where this one came from!
Outstanding music 👍 fits the channel very well
Music is fantastic!
I’m going to use some when I start making videos
Love it
A fantastic "remix"!
"I don't know what I'm going to use them for, but I will use them eventually." That's what I tell my wife about all my power equipment that I have! LOL!
The scout mantra "always be prepared" applies to any kind of tool. You don't know what you need it for until the one day where it becomes invaluable
My wife thinks I have too many cars, , but a couple of days ago, all the water fell out of one of them. Well, there was the next one waiting to go. AND, with that one in the garage, I STILL have a spare.
(I also have 3 framing hammers and about 500 screwdrivers.)
I am an Eagle Scout 😂
I try not to let my wife see what I bring into my yard
That’s what I told my wife when she found a pack of Trojans in the glove compartment of my Kenworth.
First a new pick-up
Second a new shop
Third a new awesome intro
Forth a new excavator that doesn't need anything but "accessories"
It's a whole new Matt! Congratulations on your continued success, and I wish you more in the future.
Love it!
facts
His pickup is badass.
The CX75C is the zero tail swing. The two machines are identical but the 80 has the ability to pivot the boom. That’s why the 80 is pushed back and hangs over a little. I love these machines, been around them for a few years and they have been very reliable. I work for a Case dealer so if you have any questions or need help looking anything up just let me know.
How are the new 57's? Been eyeing one.
@@austinbreeden6506 Those are also good machines. I would put them up against any brand. I’m a big guy and I fit inside the cab good.
Great purchase beautiful machine
Good jap machine with smooth hydraulics, maybe re-badge the new love to original, but skip repainting.
You may not like window tint, but I would recommend getting some clear or lightly tinted film to keep the sun off the interior on that case. It should keep the UV light from making the plastic brittle so that machines interior doesn't end up like the Komatsu. Same goes for a nice seat cover with storage on the back to keep the seat from ripping, and a nice place to store things out of the way in the cab.
I second this
That new opening music absolutely rocks Matt. Gives your show the grunt it deserves.
Yer intro was hard best ever by far but when that blue peter rolled in I suddenly fell in love 😍 what a hunny she is
Matt, maybe Clint could have added a wrap on the outside of the Case Excavator to give it that 1940's rustic look to compliment the other equipment you have rescued! 😁😁 Then everyone who see it can say, "What, a 2018 with that much rust on it? Was it buried in the water"! 🤣 No it's, a wrap!
It's hard to believe you actually bought a piece of functional equipment. You're moving up in the world!!
I'm retired. Work fascinates me, I can watch it for hours. I was a mechanic, welder, machinist and operator. I like to watch and be glad it's you doing that work and not me.
Definitely a a change of pace for Matt Diesel Creek channel.
Matt bought a piece of equipment almost to new for him.
No half dozen at least episodes fixing this and that.
Definitely a really good upgrade for him.
I myself would like to see Matt out on jobs working to add the working on his on stuff.
Maybe a 60/40 or 80/20 shop/job mix.
My old boss runs Case equipment. I always loved being behind the controls of his CX130C and his CX57C. Very smooth, trouble-free, and extremely powerful machines. I was continuously amazed by their power and performance all while being extremely comfortable to run for 10 hours or more at a time. Paired with a WB though and pin grabber coupler, there wasn't much you couldn't do. Even had a smooth face tilt bucket for the 57 that worked wonders. Looks like you got quite a nice machine for sure ol boy. 😁👍
Years ago I owned a 2006 link belt 130... I loved it and those Isuzu engines are extremely reliable.. starts in the coldest of Temps, never overheated and runs very quiet and smooth
I love your channel it's the best!!! Dave from Toledo Ohio...
One thing for sure
If you bought from CandC you know it has been throughly gone over
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW MACHINE
It’s crazy how much play that coupler has. The machine looks right clean and tight. This looks like a good candidate for a Swedish Tilt/Rotor. I sent them a letter and link to your channel. It it works out it be good exposure for them and I would love to see Matt master the tilt/rotor.
00:35 Excellent upgrade to the soundtrack, excellent upgrade to the fleet! Congrats Matt!
Love the new twist on the theme music and I never tire of flying in over the tree canopy with your drone. Case looks like good upgrade and the Komatsu has served you well, even Eva has driven it.
Nice purchase, good upgrade, and you can never go wrong buying from Clint and the C&C crew. They’ll stand behind your purchase, and you can be certain they checked it over.
THUMB, YOU NEED A THUMB..!!
id go nuts moving brush without one.
As long as it has the valve to switch to the JD controller pattern id be happy.
You finally put the classic intro back in! The videos without it have something wrong with them. Great music by the Semi supervillains❤
Old Komatsu will miss us 😢 but the case is really nice !
Thank you for the video and good content you do for us !! 😍🇫🇷
The best part of Saturday has arrived!
when you're showing the old bad plastic in the komatsu, it makes me realize how nice it is to have a 3d printer and being able to just replace molded plastic parts with custom prints
Nice! I’d recommend a Rototilt coupler! . A RT30 (older model) or a RC3 (fancy new model) for that excavator… that would make it really versatile! 👍
That and a few buckets like a smaller trenching and a flat bottom. 3:42
I'm happy to finally be formally introduced to the Case, which I've noticed in a few other videos. It was cool to see it in action as well as your detailed comparison with the Komatsu. I think you've done well with the overall upgrade, but we will miss the Old Dirty Hoe. She's done a LOT of work around the Diesel Creek yard over the years. Happy trails, old girl! And @TSSVillains, the new intro music rocks!
Great video as usual.
Regarding Case (Sumitomo) excavators, I know of a few building contractors here in the South West of Ireland who are delighted with their Case 8 & 13 tonne models. They claim much better fuel economy than the equivalent Hitachi's in their fleets. A lower purchase price and great build quality too.
2:45 cool upgrade, love it. perfect size for many jobs, not too small and still beefy enough to get decent volume done...
Congrats to you. Your first newer piece of equipment. Starting to look like an equipment yard not a scrap yard. Your new building makes a very nice set up now. You’ve earned it. Thanks for sharing with us , you earned all of it. 👍👍👍
I had a Cat 307C with the pads on the tracks. They are good on hard surfaces but really tear up grass or sod surfaces when pivot turning . The high block configuration seems to load up on the edges when pivot turning. The gap between the blocks creates pad ridges when tracking straight on softer surfaces from my experience. I now have a KX057-5 with the full rubber tracks that are much more soft surface friendly.
Hey Matt,
I am a trained professional safety guy. I wanted to shoot you an email about some of the work that you do. Anytime that you are dealing with concrete in any form or the dust that is associated with grinding, cutting or drilling into concrete, you need to protect yourself and those that may be around you. Silica is a serious hazard that even has its own standard in OSHA codes. The correct dusk mask or respirator should be used for protection. If your are going to have dry periods during the year, consider getting a water truck to wet your driveway since that is another source of silica exposure. Look up the effects of silicosis and you can see why I am pointing this out. Share this information with any of your buddies that do similar work.
God Bless,
David Park
Love the banner you have hanging in the shop... '''''Nobody cares, work harder''''' That's gold. Keep up your great work Matt. 😀
You live the life I dream of. Keep going and keep up the good work :)
That's so so wrong! Where is rust?! Where are leaks?! How is it possible that this machine even works and starts first time? Is it even yours? Is it still you or your evil twin brother? My day is ruined and my disappointment is beyond understanding
I agree I’m baffled
It`s amazing how you can give such a detailed comparison between the two machines. You`d be a great teacher.
I run a 14.5 case with gps and a tilt hitch love the case perfect for trim work and also has the power for bulk excavation good choice Matt
Currently run a 05 cx80. Put about 3800 hrs on it since purchasing it. Been a great strong digging midsized machine. Did lots of ponds, foundations, septic jobs, and set tons of 5300lb 8ft concrete blocks with it. Other then minor hose and belt replacements and regular maintenance it has been flawless. Isuzu 4cly always starts no matter the temp. If it's below 20⁰ run the flow plugs twice and always fires right up even down as low as -10⁰ I've run it in. Grats on the next new addition to the fleet.
Great machine i often hire them...wish i could afford to buy one and leave it sitting in the yard like Deisel creek😅...good luck to him.
@johnsometimeswrong8742 ours also came with the rubber over steel pads. We don't have a roller and use it for tracking in Gravel driveways and such and the rubber pads were terrible at it when we demo ed the unit. And it was like ice skates on any off camber slope. Even wet grass it went sliding away. Dealer gave us a full set of steel pads as part of the purchase deal and we swapped them out. Been awesome ever since.
@@kirkstrope676
the ones i get have a full rubber track they are really good but mostly im using on prepared surface.
I dont believe youve ever had a machine where the audio could be understood while you were at operating RPM' s. Nice digger😂😂😂❤❤❤ 13:56
Very true lol
I like the SemiSupervillians, they just get better and better-- And Matt's content is inspiring every time.
Put vent tees and risers along the way to the Creek outlet for the Main Drain line. To drop off the Rain gutters and Strip channel drains for the Shop doors. 10:10
Good luck with the upgrades. If the coppler is not yet set in stone, you may want to look at a Verachtert quick coupler. They are the only thing used around my aria and it quite surprised me the first time I heard about slop in a coupler because this coupler can't get any slop in it.
Nice upgrade sir. Thanks for taking us along on channel.
There's nothing quite like watching equipment in operation to build my own motivation. Congrats on the upgrade! Looking forward to see what you do for a coupler.
Dude, have to say, out of all the U-tube channels i watch, yours has the best intro and music, period!!! love the content great job.
Appreciate that, thanks!
Great upgrade! Glad to see you parting with things you don't intend to use. You got the old machine running perfectly - good time to sell. Now you have a much more modern machine. It's a great example of using your skills to improve your 'collection. Agree with Yanmar engines. John Deere has used them, for decades, in their smaller - maybe even mid-range tractors.
Never had much experience with case or link belt but I've been a John Deere construction equipment tech for almost 10 years and let me tell you I'm glad you got a case and not a deere in that size. The deere 75/85 aren't good. They are the only deere excavators I don't like. They lack power and have lots of issues. Keep you the great videos
Interesting side by side comparison and great new tune from SSV! Thank you Matt
I have always enjoyed both good service and decent serviceability from the Case equipment I have worked and worked on beginning in the early to mid 70's.
Fun fact: It's rare to see a thumb on ANY excavator here in the UK.
No idea why, as they're just so flippin' useful.
That was funny. I noticed the slop in the bucket about one second before you said anything. I seen that sitting on their lot we go past there once in a while ,it’s clean that’s for sure
I have not operated any heavy equipment but have seen Mike (Dirt Perfect) using Case equipment and the quality and smoothness in operation has really impressed me. IMO Case and Hyundai are probably the best equipment out there and I say this based on all the operators I watch on You Tube . The excessibility to all service points are second to none on all machines. Case definitely appears to be one of the most user friendly manufacture in the heavy equipment line. Good purchase , especially coming from Clint at C&C Equipment.
"Sue me toe mo" huge Japanese conglomerate . Nice new to you machine Matt. Congrats!
Hey Matt. Awesome machine, just to let you know I actually work with the company where that machine was originally from “gt&e” if you ever have any questions or issues let me know and I’ll be able to help ya out.
I just got my Diesel Creek hoodie and 57 Autocar T-Shirt, super nice quality!!! 4 days is all it took, thanks Matt!!
We just got a cx80. been a nice little machine so far.
A beautiful introduction set to the sound of Semi Supervillains!
Matt, you’re going to have more equipment than Ritchie Brothers auction pretty quick
Great diggers, had a 13 ton here in the uk, superb to drive and the radio and engine kill buttons and are brilliant, don’t see enough of them here
I love the intro electric guitars. I’ve watched it twice. Wonderful job with the drone
Welded on and worked around a large case and it was great. Had a cummins motor. Started instantly.
Congratulations to your new machine. All newer machines are quiet but this one is whispering. I remember that old O&K RH12 a friend of mine had. The Deutz Air cooled in the rear droning like a big diesel locomotive and after the warmup the cabin begins a nice resonating droning also. The positive side was as operator the massage was included 😂.... The power of the machine was immense
Well Matt I learned something today, I was under the assumption that the linkbelt was an upgraded John Deere! Good luck and many years of use with the case. I never ran one that small always ran a 350 or greater with never having a problem!!
Thank you Matt.
Nice upgrade from the Komatsu. But it will be missed.
Can hardly wait to see the new add-ons.
Cheers.
always good to see you Matt. Nice newer machine. I have a 1987 Case 580 super E with 10,000 hrs and still plows my snow, digs my ditches and many other uses. My buddies who operate equipment tell me they run for ever with proper maintenance. So anyway Case equipment is well respected
Glad to see you getting more modern equipment!
80 class machines are highly sought after in my neck of the woods. You can do a lot, from septic work to clearing lots.Thats a nice.clean Case, thats the way to buy them.Years of service from that machine.Good pick.
I rented a cx 80 a few years back to do a job. I liked the machine overall. It was pretty good on fuel, smooth and seemed to have plenty of power. My only complaint was behind the sprockets would get so packed with mud, that to clean it I had to chisel it out. When I returned the machine to the dealer I spoke with my buddy that worked there and he said they have noticed the same thing. So if you just keep an eye on that I'm sure all will be well.
🎉 That good young girl woke up... Clint needs to paint that truck green tractor...🎉.....JJ...😂
Great buy Matt.. I'll never own equipment like you work on and purchase, but I'll live vicariously through you.. so KEEP IT UP!!! Thanks for the family-friendly material, and God bless.
Nice rig. Looks like you can get a lot done with just a bucket upgrade. Thanks for sharing your time. Peace
Wow !!! The revised intro music finally got some "funk" in it. When I first saw that blue tractor I thought it was "Topsey" the electric tractor made by Edison Motors of Canada.
I know nothing about heavy equipment but find it interesting. I can see why this is a significant upgrade for you. I'm also leaving a comment because I know it helps the algorithm. Love the intro music as well!
New intro made me drop my spoon, Matt! Kudos to you and the Semi Supervillains!
Awesome! Thank you!
There are a lot of Link Belt machines running in Arkansas. I have a friend in the business that has had one for probably 10 years and no complaints. Not many Case machines around though.
Congratulations on the case. She looks amazing. Great video. Thank you for sharing with all of us
The introduction is top notch. The drone and the foliage colors are amazing. Vinnie is a talented artist congratulations TSSV.
Seeing how easy that new machine rolled into the shop, I know it's just a matter of time until Matt's using it as an engine hoist and for shifting smaller machines.
A great putchase glad you updated you needed a newer machine .
How do you tell you are at the right CZcamsr’s shop? “This must be the right place - there is a drone chasing us”
It sure is nice having a good clean reliable machine on the property. Very nice!
😢😢😢😢😢😢paatmaragare
My Saturdays are not complete without seeing another Diesel Creek video.
With that said, when I saw the Case Excavator, I thought that it looked way out of place from a typical Diesel Creek piece of equipment. But I think that you purchased an excellent excavator.
That was one cool “cold start”! Matt you deserve the quiet operators cab and a good heating system. Man this episode was perfect for my Saturday viewing and an excellent distraction from politics. Thanks Matt for your effort to tape, edit and narrate your progress with the heavy iron tools.
Matt….good lead to “stay tuned”. I like this content!
So nice to see you in a comfortable seat for once and that a/c will come in handy with dog days of summer
The intro music was great with the electric guitars. Good for you on the new machine. You deserve it. I miss the old videos of you out on paying jobs.
Lots of good memories with the Komatsu . Taking down the barn and silo and all the clearing around the place.
Glad you’re upgrading. Use in good health and keep the content rolling.
Interesting intro to this video, very nice change. Looking forward to seeing your upgrades in coming videos. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace
Best intro ever ! Always loved the theme... Even better now . Looking forward to the upgrades
I love C and C equipment. Those fellas look like they know their stuff!👍
Good to see you back. I like the look of the new machine. Def needs a thumb and the wobbly hitch. Good clip thanks
I’m not an equipment operator but spent some time around them. I like the way you explain things. BTW, still waiting to see the series on that engine rebuild for your truck.
Definitely a good deal from Clint, 2 heavy duty winches a digger with one of those new self leveling buckets. 😎 Plus lets not forget before sending out his equipment its all checked, serviced and given a warranty as well. Its going to be a good video seeing you fit a new coupler and thumb.👍
Awesome as always! I enjoy the music choice and yes, I like seeing you get a newer machine. You can still rescue old iron, just SELL THEM!!
Damn 17 years and hard work and now $100.000 plus from you tube you have done good glad to see it.
Love Case... Never any worries and easy to service and work on...
Good to see you back Matt - sure have missed your adventures. Nice machine you picked up.
Seeing that white stuff sure reminds me of home in Rochester. Hang in will be spring soon. Thanks again and keep up making videos for all of us out here👍👍
I've always had a good feeling for Case machines as they were once made in my home state Michigan. Great upgrade BTW!!
I had to giggle at "This thing is way too nice for me." 😁🤟
Thank you for a very honest and informative info on the aforementioned tractors. It is fun to watch and listen to you and never boring. I cannot wait to see how you will install your indoor crane and house build. No pressure though. I feel you have the right recipe for a web site. I will order something some day. Being in Quebec, Canada, I find it complicated with the exchange and what not. Again, keep on keepin on.
Congrats on upgrading you've most definitely earned it!
Those Villains knock it out of the park! They're Super. Keep up the great vids Matt!
