When I managed acres of amenity grounds maintenance we use to run dozens of Wheelhorse ride on mowers and found them to be a reliable bits of kit,so yes please let’s see yours up and running.
Hi Mucker. I take it it’s the JCB dealer not the manufacturer you are talking about. Briggs here in Orlando don’t seem to be putting many JCB machines out in this area.
In my opinion there are two reasons behind the poor support. Dealers represent many manufacturers now with overlaps on same types of machines, favoring who ever is offering the best % commission from month to month, and many manufacturers have such a large portfolio of machines such as JCB. Yes they have more avenues of revenue but it’s impossible to be head of the class in all categories.
In Britain for sure the loader backhoe market changed with the introduction of mini 360 diggers. The reasons for this are for another day, but the fore runner to the change was the POWERFAB 125W 125WT and the 125WTD prior to their tracked 180C and and 1200 360 tracked machine back in the 80s. Now the mini digger market is flooded with many manufacturers including JCB in many weight classes.
I hope you get a demo off JCB and others and put two of your choice head to head with demo drivers and yourself at the controls as if you were actually buying a new loader backhoe. Let them work for the sale.

Due to the fact they invited you to open days in the past they might of thought you were disloyal to them and they are throwing dummies out of their pram 😄
I've never stuck to just one brand - I've always remained impartial and only work with brands that I think reach a high enough standard - if companies don't like that, fine, go with someone that reads from a script.

Always value you opinions and interested about the Case 590. Edward has been operating JCB back hoes for over 40 years changing them out for a new one at 5000 hours. The latest machine is causing him real grief and JCB do not want to know, he has even been up to the factory to tell them how bad it is. Apart from all ECO items throttling the machine, the pump is now under the cab, on a warmish day the temp in the cab with the windows open got to 48.5deg measured by a guy from the JCB dealership. He is a thorn in their side, they don’t like hearing from an owner operator who finds the shortcomings of their machines when they are really made to work rather than run up and down a roadway construction site with a length of drainpipe hung on the bucket.
He would like to see you review a current CAT and JCB backhoe. Have tried a CAT, you can’t shake the bucket so useless when ditching with a pipe bucket on heavy wet clay.
Final thing, have been telling people that it is rubbish that engines get addicted to EasyStart so wonderful to hear you confirm that…but a bit more forcefully.

That's an operators machine. I've only ever used an older one, and im always on 360s now but that is quite a weapon.
Apart from the dipper arm,thats a New Holland LB110, in my humble opinion,the best wheel digger on the market

Back about 2000-01 I worked a job where we had a Case 590K and a JCB 214 Sitemaster?? I liked the Cab on the JCB, even though the AC was totally useless, but the 590K had more balls digging. At that time JCB dealers were fairly sparse in the US.Seems like the closest one was 160 miles away and anything beyond filters and hydraulic fittings had to be ordered in from a long ways away. the Case, well like you mentioned, they are everywhere here.

Thank you. Nice piece of kit. Good to see a proper bash plate on a digger arm, especially with two fixings on each side instead of two on the face. The side shift is a brilliant arrangement. I agree with Kurt on the radio placement. Nothing worse than electric/electronic controls that are designed to collect every piece of crap-and drop of moisture-in creation. Upward-facing door-mounted electric window controls in modern trucks are a classic example of that type of stupidity.

I noticed the same thing. I think NYC has more backhoes then all the USA 😂 They are everywhere !! I loved our Case backhoes but now I have a Cat 416 and it seems to out work our case . I still will always love Case though ❤

Really nice bit of kit, like the extentable section on the back hoe, ideal if you need that little bit of extra reach. When I was younger every construction site had one of these, normally a Ford though. Hopefully with what Case have done, they're will be a resurgence. Glad the cab had approval from the most important person. 👍😎

Always fancied having a day or 2 on a backhoe as I’ve done plenty of hours on a loader and a 360 but nothing that’s combined 😁. I’ve never got the wheel horse idea but wanna learn 👌👍

Still think jcb are always gonna have the edge until other manufacturers start putting the servos on the seat, our seat can be live all the time after a small alteration and it makes it so much more versatile again, good video anyways, look a good strong machine anyways , gonna have to sign up to this patreon as well, missing out 😆

Great video Kurt 👌 JCB perhaps have adopted the attitude of many very successful firms and just expect everyone to fall at their feet 🤔 the old saying how the mighty can fall an that Case was a superb machine 💪💪 as for the wheelhorse they are a very capable little tractor one of our club members has 5 or 6 the largest being a 22hp Vtwin Hydro but the C120 he has can pull a Ransomes TS41 single furrow trailing plough , they may be belt drive but the transmission is a very well built mechanical gearbox 💪 would be an interesting video 👌

(USA) - Wheel Horse is tough as nails, you would be surprised at what it can do and stand up to it !
As a lawn mower it would last two forevers, as a light end loader or garden tractor, three, with a little
more maintenance. P.S. That Kohler is a liner block, another plus.

In US. I’ve never seen American made backhaul with a side shift on the back. I remember seeing them in the caterpillar parts book, but never seen one here the only one I did see was a JCB backhoe, and it was probably 35 years old here in Fairbanks Alaska. Good video thank you.

I had a 580g which was called in on a job where a grey cab turbo 3cx was stuck…. Case sailed through no problem.. then had a 580k, it would outpush a Loadal 570.30 from around 2011… !, brilliant backhoes

Did you try it in digger mode or swinger mode? buggered if I can drive it in anything other than swinger mode, put a couple of dinosaur sticks in the middle and I'm fine but not servo's 🤣
