Stuff I should have learned a long time ago, but it’s never too late to get it right. Thank you so much, Mr. Wayne!

REALLY helpful, not only for mandolin playing but also basic music theory. Thank you!

I’ve never understood music as well as I should. Wayne, you are totally opening my eyes. Another great lesson. Thanks!

At first I was so mad at myself for never having heard of you before, then immensely relieved when I checked and saw the channel is 7 months old. I am going to check out every video then come back to whichever is the latest and request a few topics I've been wanting to learn about. Thanks for doing this!

Welcome to WWoM! You are right, this channel launched a few months after the Covid-19 version of American became a reality....

That is an incredibly useful shape! I've avoided using 7th chords in my playing because I did not know a voicing that I could get to easily. I would just play the major chord or just the 1 and 5 notes.
After going through that exercise a few times, my confidence is increasing and I'm sure I'll be able to use these chords as needed.

I'm sure you can too Greg. Always learn to build chords in a closed position, transposing to another key or finding the same voice for a different chord is easier in the beginning with that approach. "Building" the chord from intervals and different inversions can come later......

I know I'm not there yet, but with your lessons I will be someday. Thanks so much. God bless you.

Thx for the comment Jude. I intend to make an entire series of videos about chords. Just finished Minor chords and will edit and make it public soon.....

Update. I have been back cycling through the circle of fifths switching from the chop cords to the 7th cords. Lots of veggies in there.

Cool. What was that piece off the top of the video? Very nice.

The intro music on most of the content is an original of mine called Donner Pass. You can listen to the entire cut on Spotify or wherever you stream music. It's under the artist name Benson.

I have a video called Solid Bluegrass Intros here on the channel that you might find helpful and I do intend to follow up this topic. Thx for the request!

Dominant 7th. Not the 7 chord. Just saying.
