Thanks for your lessons. Great players are not necessarily great teachers, but you bring it all. I'm inspired by not only your patience, but the amazing tone and precision of your playing. Transitioning to mandolin after 55 years of playing guitar is a challenge but I'm enjoying the journey.

Thanks Wayne, I have a lot to learn yet. I have been playing bluegrass for 42 years. I am mostly a banjo and guitar player. Dabble in other instruments. Since I picked up Mandolin a couple of years ago its really helped me with learning the actual chords and notes. I'm still a little slow on the minors and diminished chords but the mandolin is making me learn. I was always used to a capo. LOL I appreciate the video. I need to watch it over several times.

Yep. Coming from a situation where you used a capo to mandolin can reveal some really fundamental concepts that need to be understood in order to be versatile without a capo. I will be making public a video about making the most of bluegrass standards soon. Be sure to check it out pal. Good luck and thx for the comment...

Hi Wayne; your lessons are awesome. I have a lot of problems seeing what frets you are on however. If you could mention finger placements as you go it would be very helpful. Thank you so much!

Howdy Louise, I've had trouble seeing CZcams content on my phone as well. If you have a Roku box you can easily watch the content on your tv or just do a mirror cast from your phone to the tv. That's what I do when watching CZcams. Hope this helps and good luck.....
