One of the very few sitcoms where the Husband can claim his Mother-in-Law is an old Witch and be telling the truth . . . I love this show!

Good one 😅😅😂
things used to go wrong with this show for me, but while I was bowling, my dislike went right into the gutter, and my love for the show was knocked back on the lane, and into the pins
I second that motion.
the first time Samentha tweesting her nose was when she wants her mother out of her honeymoon room and the ashtray muved 8 times I pretty much know almost anything and everything about this amazing program.
when I was little child I saw this TV show with my mother.
I still love it. I'm very happy to see it again on CZcams
The pilot episode's been retroactively colored - Bewitched was filmed in B&W for the first two seasons. Such a carefree, witty, well-scripted show - with a superbly talented cast. A true gem for the ages
I thought it was black and white early on too, but I couldn't be 100% sure ... memory and all that. :-/ what year was this?
@@Tidybitz The pilot episode's from 1964 ... the first two seasons were filmed in B&W
Hence the 2000 copyright
Nick at Nite used to show this episode in color back in the 1990s I remember.
We didn't get colour TV in Australia until 1975, so it was all in b&w for its full first run.
I love Bewitched. I was born in 68, and grew up watching a lot of these shows. Bewitched was one of my favorites. I liked Elizabeth Montgomery, loved her smile.
I love when she played her twin cousin, Serena, and Serena used to pretend to be Samantha to try to fool Darrin.
i was born in 09 and it’s what i grew up on it’s pretty awesome
LOVED, her smile 😁!!
@@tprxxped2421 Born in 'ott' 9? Wouldn't that make you 113 years old, at the time of this comment 🤔??
She was absolutely beautiful
Almost 60 years ago, this show never ages. Any man or woman who doesn't love Samantha has no blood in their veins.
Doesn’t age?! Listen to the dialogue!
I just love Bewitched, and yes it never ages.
It's a wonderful show however good luck trying to find a wife that does everything she does lol. Especially when Darren's boss calls out of the blue dinners all the time haha these days they would be ringing pizza delivery 😃
@@joannehooper5326 We wives did not have a nose to twitch , unfortunately . Some wives had husbands who liked to cook , not mine .
Well the role of women has changed a lot since then. But I still, for memories sake, love watching fifties and sixties shows.
I was born in the 90s my mother made grew up with this show ❤ I still love it to this day
The first episode that I wanted to see someday. I'm happy to see you. Samantha, Darling, and Endora are all young.
I loved this show when i was young, and i still love it. Its way better than many contemporary shows, thank you so much for showing Bewitched.
It's not woke, that's why.
they gently teased about some social issues. Do you remember the Christmas episode and the episode where the two best friends want to be the same color?
i have always crushed on Elizabeth Montgomery.
Bewitched debuted a decade before l was born, but l caught it in reruns when they started showing it in syndication on weekdays in the 80s, and l came to love it.
@@wizardoffrobozz My husband told me that he crushed on Elizabeth Montgomery too. She really had something! In the 20 years I've been with him he never mentioned anyone else that he had a crush on.
@@jayaom4946 well to be honest my first crush was Betty Cooper from the archie comics. lmao.
Darrin is lucky he married a good witch! They're perfect for each other.
Bewitched is utterly adorable and uplifting. Innocent merriment! And what a cast! LIz and Darren, we miss you!

The girl next door to me, may not look like Samantha, but 😏…………
I am so very thankful to whoever downloaded these episodes. They are so far far better, than the ones that they show now. Well, I don't even bother to see them. " The Lucy Show ", The Saint ", " The Odd Couple ", were great to see. Elizabeth Montgomery's acting is marvelous.
Elizabeth Montgomery was so beautiful. A stunning actress!
What a cast. All fine actors -- Dick York's reactions are gold.
ABSOLUTELY!
And sometimes those reactions over the years are a bit over the top.
@@richardyoung9024. They WERN’T over the top!! That is what u get, when u get Darrin!! THAT was just his personality!! But I ABSOLUTELY HATED the new Darrin that came in later!!
❤😂❤😂❤
I can't remember what happened to Dick York but I didnt like his replacement
That part was made for her sad she passed away bless her may Samantha live on in our hearts ❤️
This episode is a timeless gem of classic Americana.
Love Bewitched.
Watching it 50 years later.
Me too. I'm 62. Love this the lucy show & the Flintstones 😅😅😅
The (original) Cast of 'Bewitched' was one of the greatest castings in television history.

The beginning was so clever and creative with the animation and the song Bewitched. It was perfect; good clean fun.
I agree, the animation is catchy and fantastic.
Until the final season
This show and I Dream of Jeannie were absolutely wonderful! It is so nice to watch a program that is such innocent fun, without the filthy language!
Yes, no bleeps!!!
Very late reply... You can buy a box set of all the seasons for both on disc. We got them earlier 2000s when they came out. B&W first seasons both perfectly colorized but for Endora's hair they did in in intense red-orange.... all colors more crisp then showing here and all episodes recorded on film so in HD.
The moment she starts using her powers in the dinner scene is priceless.😄
Agnes Moorehead had the best lines in this and was fiercely funny!
David White, who played Larry Tate also had some best lines in the show, too. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
The best of the best for that Hollywood archetype. Many have tried but she really nailed it.
I loved Endora, but Maurice and Uncle Arthur were awesome too.
I'll tell you when you're happy
LOL..."my wife is a witch"......"cheer up, you should see my wife" 🤣🤣😂
Our tv station uses this part in their program preview which happens several times during the day, and it cracks me up every single time. 🤣
I have!! She flies that broom like an f-15!
well some like to call themselves that but are only into petty things
Witch wife ?
I bumped into Elizabeth Montgomery sometime in the late 70s when I was a teenager. I asked her if she was in Bewitched and she said yes and I said "groovy". She just smiled.
You shudda got her autograph 🤢❤️👍😊
No doubt about it!! They ABSOLUTELY do not produce quality shows like this anymore!
You´re right, those times are gone.
Greetings from México, friends.
I am 56 years old and Bewitched was shown here in England in the 1970's. It was and still is one of my favourite shows. Elizabeth Montgomery was beautiful.
Me to I really miss shows like this I'm from England to
Ditto!
It was also shown in the 60s in England- I’m ancient enough to have watched it then. My favourite tv show ever😊
In The Bahamas, we had TV antennas and watched the Miami TV stations.
We got our own in 1977. Still watched Miami and Ft Lauderdale stations.
Now we have cable, firestick etc
I love Bewitched, I remember the 1st night it played, my mom was in her 20’s, I am the oldest sibling and she excitedly told me she saw the best show and I must stay up and watch it with her, we never missed a show, we faithfully watched Bewitched every week in the 60’s, when I was a little girl. Endora (Agnes Morehead) was fabulous & Samantha was so gorgeous and funny. I was so sad when Elizabeth Montgomery died.
Same here! 😸♥️🧡💚🇦🇺
I loved it then, and still do! It never gets old. A wonderful family show, with outstanding actors and actresses. Miss Elizabeth, especially, but they were all so enjoyable! You can't find a show like this anymore!
I got touchy and said good riddance about the actor, I thought she could see the future and made me angry on purpose, and now in a terrible mess, I take back everything I said about it, I'm losing my subscribers, I need help, lots of help
🎶 Those were the days, my friend,
we thought they'd never end... 🎶
I wish they hadn't! 🙂
Great show, loved it, miss them all.
When I was a young girl I loved this show.. brings back childhood memories that were wonderful 😊
I'm 9 again, watching reruns of Bewitched, thank you, CZcams time capsule.
Same...Bewitched and Brady Bunch after school..I was supposed to be washing breakfast dishes 😕
me too , Im 9. Again too. It was a great show ,still is, time were nicer then .🙏❤️❤️
Agnes Moorehead was perfect in the role of Endora. Nobody could’ve done it better.
Notice that Darren didn’t stay downstairs to help her clean up the kitchen. 😂
Anne's Moorehead hated playing Endora and yet she was great in Bewitched
Most men of that generation didn't clean up the kitchen, or any other room for that matter.
Endora was the quintessential mother-in-law from Hades.
Agnes Moorehead is God ! The Great One !
A man, clean up the kitchen? That's crazy talk.
子供の頃日本で放送されていたこの番組を見ていました。その時代背景でこのようにユニークなスチエ-ションの番組を見て楽しめた事は幸せな事でした。💞
At the end of the dinner party, Samantha's expressions were sweet, beguiling, and mischievous in just a few seconds.
The fashion was amazing back there ❤️👍
Brings back so many good memories of life when I was young always love this sitcom
I would love to produce a TV show. But they'd never take my idea. (See "The Master of Perception" and "Catch a Falling Star," homepage/about)
Yes all this is true, I’m sure you will agree that if this TV show and many others like I dream of Jennie and and some mothers do have them had to come back our grandchildren will love them like we did
Me too and I'm 67 Now
I've seen so many episodes of this wonderful show, never the pilot. Easy to see how it caught on so well. What a great show, and the casting couldn't have been better.
Classic, innocent, fun, adorable and pure escapism ..
I remember the first seasons in black and white. When the ads of the upcoming season announced Bewitched was coming soon, and with Elizabeth Montgomery announcing they'd be, "In color!" my mom bought a color TV.
Meanwhile, I wanted to grow up and be a witch just like Samantha. Lol!
Did you accomplish, your endeavor 🤔???
I love this show so much. Probably within the Top 5 best shows of all time. I remember watching these in reruns when I was growing up. You know its a good show when you can watch them over and over and never get tired of them.
Wonderful series.
Love this..the Ghost and Mrs Muir..and the Addams family..
The old shows are pure Gold.
So much fun to watch.
Absolutely magic 🌟 I think if I was Sam I don’t think I would have told Darren that I was a witch. I would have kept that little gem of a secret to myself. Simply loved the revenge on the catty ex girlfriend. What a classic show is Bewitched.💫
I'd have told him and if he told me to give up using magic, I'd refuse lol
what other secrets are you keeping from your husbands?
I did like the scene where she made the ash tray move. Good way to get hubby to quit smoking (hint, hint!).
Still watching this show, after all these year's....It's so very funny, I love it!!!!!! Happy Memori's

Great memories of getting home from school and watching these shows.
Dick York was excellent ! No one could take his place on Bewitched!
It even the second Daren who did!
Dick York's facial expressions were hilarious. And whenever he would say: "Sam!", you knew he was about to hit the roof.
I must say she was a wonderful actress she played this role. 👏 to a T . They don't make them like this anymore.. old school

…classic shows like these sure beat the reality show garbage that’s out there now. “Bewitched” was cleverly written, and combined with physical comedy made it even funnier.
I loved the episodes when her cousin Serena appeared in the show. She did great with that role, playing the opposite of her Samantha character. Shows what a fantastic actress she really was 👍
that got me in an awkward predicament, super sorry for getting so touchy, I'm losing ideas and subscribers now

I ALWAYS loved this series. Even tho they're all gone, these episodes sure bring back memories. :)
The twins that played Tabitha are still alive!! I don’t know if the little boy that played Adam is still alive or not!!!'
Good lord the woman of that era in Hollywood..natural beauty and true performance art style acting. Incredible. The 19:00 scene..shows it all.
I was named Darrin in 1968 by my parents , they loved this show 😊
Darrin has the nerve to forbid Samantha to use witchcraft except when it benefits him
Good for him. Nobody likes a simp. 💪
Actually, there are MANY, MANY examples throughout the show's run where she offered to help him with witchcraft and he asked her not to.
She should have told him BEFORE the wedding.
I knew a woke feminist would show up sooner or later
