Just got my scorpion, and been watching many upgrade videos. But to my surprise the only thing I feel is a MUST is thr right side safety selector! Geez that thing digs into my finger Bad!! As far as the grip, handle etc their OK not a must...but of course I'm gonna upgrade them because that's the fun part! 😉
Just finished doing this on my Scorpion. Didn't have a metric 1.5 Allen wrench but the tool wrench you get with the Ring doorbell kit works great!
added left and right micro safeties and it made a world of difference even my buddy likes them as well

U know a easy way to tell a gen 1 vs gen 2 scorpion i picked up a used on it has mags from 15,16,18 and doesnt have the welded screw in trigger

Thanks for the video. The whole reason I got this thing was more leverage. The factory safety was really stiff and gritty. I thought maybe it was damaged in shipping or something. But as you pointed out, that mounting screw is also a tension screw. It was on way too tight. Oh well I love the new safety and it’s much much smoother now. I got the full length Ak style safety. Love HBI products. They ship really fast which I love because I hate waiting. Cheers.
Thanks could you just leave it off on the right side or does it capture to keep the left side in? Or I was just thinking of taking a Dremel and making it Round and lose the ear?
can't leave it off. dremel works fine, or you can get a safety delete from HBI

Just picked one of these up used where those rings are Mid.center of fire arm mine does not have the little key rings noticed those are loose and clanky is that normal.
yes it's normal, tolerances are loose in some parts of this gun.my charging handle is also kinda wiggly. no malfunctions yet

No, unfortunately Franklin armory uses a proprietary Saftey.
