Hey Helen, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your interviews. You always bring such a youthful energy to them, which is so important for the younger generations. They may not fully understand the richness of Ethiopian culture, but you help bridge that gap beautifully. Keep up the amazing work!

If I am not mistaken ,your father and Prime Minister Aklilu Habteweld were pro to the continuation of the federal status of Eritrea ,whereas the influential kitchen cabinet led by Princess Tenagne Work Haileselase were insisting the forceful union of Eritrea into mainland Ethiopia by abolishing the federal arrangement .sadly the later group won and as a result, the 1962 cursed decision became a precursor for the fragmentation of Ethiopia .Anyways your father and his boss Tsehafi Tizaz Aklilu were outstanding diplomats of unique caliber. May their soul rest in peace in Heaven for eternity.
