These OFAH scenes have sadly been totally cut out of the Jolly Boys Outing Episode. For those that watch it on Gold you may still see these scenes. others have never seen them before.

Trigger's line 'they don't know I ain't got a car' and Mike's response was insane to cut out of any release. One of the funniest scenes of the whole episode.

The first scene where Del and Albert soften Rodney up to get him to go for a drink is as good a piece of comedy writing, acting and timing as you will ever see.

One of the differences between a Hotel and a Motel is a motel generally requires transport to get to - so normally has a large car park for vehicles - Trig thinks this is an absolute requirement - thus "They don't know I ain't got a car"

That is one of the most underrated comedy lines in all of only fools and horses episodes, its priceless, it even stops the singer to to give del the evil eye.

I was so fortunate we recorded this episode when it was broadcast at Xmas 1989 because I managed to salvage this scene which is largely unavailable now.

It's more the content i'm interested in with every episode uncut & the Miami Twice 2 parts presented in their original form with the TV episode followed the the Movie uncut without the stupid canned laughter that drowns out the dialog which can't be heard at times!! I live in hope....

@Mark McRobie 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 - the actor who played the main character in FT did....so why not get the actors who played the roles of Del Boy and Rodney in OFAH to do similar.... and then re-release the series on DVD/Blu ray.

My family used to have this on tape back in the day. This episode was recorded during a heavy storm and wound up slightly crackly 😊

At work we always quote these lines, it's a shame so much is missing from the DVD's. I did buy the complete boxset a few years ago just to have something and show my support. I've only watched a few of them as I know they have been altered like the music.
They really need to put out a final complete edition. If they think the demand will be low then make it a limited release and jack the price up, I know us fans would shell out for them.

Still one of the best and strongest episodes of the series and one of the couple of times where the full cast minus grandad sadly was in a episode together.
As a Brit living in the US, who watches & holds his DVD’s very close to his heart....Bugger me I’ve never seen this.

The bbc are a national disgrace.they wiped lots of classic shows inc steptoe n son in colour.and totp now they make cuts on dvd boxed sets why??? Surley you have the right to laugh at a scene even if its non pc now it should be included on the dvd for your own viewing pleasure after all they charge enough money doent state that edits been made.some are for music copyright but to cut scenes on tv showing is one thing but to cut from dvd the bbc are deciding for us what we can and cant view.

Also not to everyone's taste I think The young ones and Bottom should be regarded high. I know it's like marmite but that show made brits a fan of slapstick. We're complete nonsense but really fun Nonsense.
I would definitely rate only fools one of the best easily. But when it comes to British sitcoms I find it nearly impossible to rate them from best to worse.
This is actually one of the most emotional scenes in the show, at least we can watch it on the telly. ✌️☺️

They show this episode quite regularly on Sky and this scene is always in it. I do not ever recall this scene not being in a showing of this on TV, maybe it's just on video or DVD that it is cut from.

I'm puzzled, just watched this video now and I see this scene whenever I've watched the episode on Gold.
As you will notice, no two only fools and horses episodes are complete. Like Boycies joke about Del being a surrogate, there is always something missing!

It saddens and scares me that people now are actually trying to cancel Del Boy.
It’s utterly disgusting to try and ruin OFAH. It is priceless in every line written by John Sullivan and he wasn’t even recognised after his death.

I often thought it was strange that they were instantly sitting down as a group, although they didn't previously, or indeed know, to arrange to meet up in the bar with Boycie, Mike and Trigger... (in the dvd)
I think earlier on in the epsidoe, Del Boy is talking to the nightclub owner in the toilets, where he gets free tickets in exchange for offering to bring down his large coach party to the club. So, I figured he told them all off camaera where to go later if they fancied a drink.

Great news everyone! This month, the BBC are releasing a blu ray of the 80s specials, complete with the original version of this episode with this scene intact for the first time.
You just watch how much other content will be removed tho through Woke political correctness..

The start of the night club scene tho is not on the dvd version of jolly boys outing.. However it is on nessflik. So for years I did not see this scene, but saw it on nessflik about a year ago for first time

I still own my Only Fools & Horses videos and unfortunately my Jolly Boys Outing is the edited version. This scene makes sense of Del and Rodney's meeting of Boycie, Trigger and Mike in the club. The editing has the end of Villa Bella scene with Albert then it switchs to them all sat round a table with no explanation. This was 1989 it's not as though Del could have text everybody to meet up for a few light ales ha ha.

but he was flogging tickets to the holiday, makers so i expect he said at the station unseen meet up at the mardi gras club later if you can so they all turned up why he didn;t ask mrs cresswell could they borrow a key and could she just this once leave the door unlocked so they could returen to get in as we may be out till 2am I don't know or ask albert to leave their window ajae they could have climbed up the drainpipe I am sure just this once Mrs Cresswelll would have let them off and have a key as long AS they promised to keep the noise down when they come in not to disturd the others and lock the door behind them these days that woudl not happen you have a key and the door would be left unlock or maybe in a small place like that maybe not

Came from a hotel in ramsgate.
I saw the Bluray version of this episode, uncut, and I have to say the picture quality was stunning. Although a little flat in brightness and contrast the resolution brought out alot of details that I hadn't seen before; the shot of the pirate ship ride and the ferris wheel really stood out like a sore thumb as if it had been filmed in HD, and the bus looked glorious in the sun. You could see every detail in Del and Rodney's clothing.

On the original VHS, these scenes were included, as originally shown on TV (Christmas Special 1989); quite bemused to discover the DVD edition, whoever edited it had cut out a chunk of the episode, for no apparent reason. Glad Netflix is showing the complete version.
Yeah it’s only the DVD release that cuts this scene (it’s due to a copyright claim on the song “just the way you are”) so I don’t know why it’s titled “never seen before”.
This was in the original for those lucky enough to see them brand new. Genius writing and acting from all the cast. Britain's finest in my opinion. Nick should be knighted.

If it's true they destroyed the footage then that's beyond disrespectful. An artist's work should be protected. So what if it was incomplete. It's still his work. Fans can still appreciate incomplete works.
there's a country pub scene deleted fro. Friday the 14th!! I could act a part in that episode as well; i know all the words - how could they leave out scenes: disappointed doesn't cut it

I just watched this episode on the Gold channel in the UK. This scene was in the show and has been when that channel have aired it in the past.
Yes it seems that sinc ei posted some of these that gold has improved the versions they show, so it does get seen on repeated broadcast, i think its the purchased DVD and VHS versions that cut it. Lets be honest why do they cut it on any version its madness
@@OnlyFoolsHorses Years ago l looked into buying the box set of Only Fools... but was put off by all the edits. As you know, shows are cut for, usually, music licensing reasons. I just record my favourites from tv and rewatch. Shame, as I'd like to have a complete set. Cutting shows, even for understandable legal reasons, is maddening to us viewers.
Didnt know this had been cut, its included in the GOLD runs of the episode. So many episodes have had scenes or lines cut from them annoyingly.
Have seen this scene most times when i've watched this episode. However, I've heard there was a cut scene at Villa Bella where Del goes into the dining room after checking in and speaks to a couple staying there. This didn't make the final edit but I wonder if this will surface one day?

Yeah he speaks to Denzil, Mickey and Jevon. Robs a potato and calls them gits haha. That scene is always played on uk gold, as are the scenes in this clip. Seems strange that some people havent seen them
Seen the script in an OFAH book it wasn't much good
The scene where del speaks to a couple is not the scene in the dining room with mickey and the boys. Believe he speaks to another old couple. The man was played by Michael Bilton (ned in to the Manor born). Think he also had a deleted scene in Friday the 13th. Unlucky to be cut out twice from the show.
All back in the Blu-ray specials inc the full ‘Royal Flush’ episode, hopefully they will do more

@@OnlyFoolsHorses they do annoying and the continuity notices too because suddenly they are all sitting there and unless you were old enough like me old late 50's it wont make sense how they all met up at the night club or why Alan is missing hence boycie saying to rodney o h he ate a load of shellfish and was ill because the last scene was boycie alan and michael walking away to find their overnight abode, from the station so they were together then the viewer whos not seen it thinks where is Alan but because thats cut it looks odd sorry to ramble on

I have seen this scene many times before, this is how it originally aired on BBC and have transferred it to DVD. Also the Miami one where the DVD version has been cut and a laughter track added and A royal flush where at least 20 minutes has been cut from the DVD release.

Only Fools & Horses yea, I have seen all these scenes too and transferred them onto dvd. A great pity that many of the scenes from a great many of the episodes have been cut, and as you say, for no aperitif reason. The jolly boys' outing was by far the best episode in my opinion

My brother recorded it too on 25th Dec 1989 too of course......With the evolution of tech, VHS went out, and so did the tape sadly.......Great to see this scene again!
