Earlier on, del boy is talking about a woman he used to date who worked in a betting shop in Lewisham grove. This is one of many hints that he and Marlene used to be an item.
Cheers - now it makes sense!
Why ask...?
Yea didn’t he say she was hiding on the roof with stilettos or something I can’t quite remember
@@stu8998 WHY ASK?

Another good person claimed by cancer. Rest in peace.
I'm so 😭😭 RIP John Challis I'm gonna miss his interviews when he does Boycie's laugh
Only Del Boy and Denzil left in this group
@@mandydandy3738 Lol.
John worked with someone claimed by cancer on Benidorm, we know him better as barry chuckle
Whislt the CEO of cancer research sits on 5 million a year
Absolutely gutted that boycie has gone. The laugh was so iconic. R.I.P John Challis (1942 - 2021) 🙁
And the way he says Marlene. RIP John Challis. He was also in a Tom Baker era Dr Who story called the Seeds of Doom in 1976.
and apparently a lovely bloke in real life, RIP.
I had no idea. I had to learn through CZcams. I'm shocked. RIP John.
RIP John you are now with Mike,Trigger and Albert in the Nag's Head.
You forgot "grandad". Wonderful actors all of them
We are here only the once Lee ,and if only i could win that sodding lottery id go out with a bang like these did ..not live on the telly like 🤦♂️

I'm not a Londoner, nor I'm l British. But I think whoever wrote these series is an an absolute genius
You sir have very good taste. Tips hat
It was John Sullivan RIP
The great John Sullivan and Roger Lloyd Pack taken too soon from us. This programme represents cockney's much better than that pile of shit Eastenders trots out every week that they pass off as 'entertainment'
@@wickedwitchoftheeast88 thank god then I was deported from Britain before I had the misfortune of having to watch East enders
Very offensive
They will never make another comedy like this ever again.
THE

Class 🇬🇧
@@neilchapman9266 no they do make some good stuff but they'll never make anything like this again
@skankhunt 42 Don't forget all the money they make from children in need... they don't host that for nothing (check out how much they pay themselves compared with other charities). BBC just a bunch of useless idiots who can't do anything else! Just get rid or make self finance with adverts.
@@mikeharrison2545 terrible but i think that's probably the least bad thing the bbc do to children
Writing Trigger must have been so hard, the actor plays him perfectly too
roger LLoyd pack was a thespian and very fine shakesperean actor. He never broke character once
RIP John Sullivan and Roger Lloyd Pack
And the guy who played Mike the landlord, he had a heart attack unfortunately
That's so sad that most of the old guard are not with us anymore
And Mike from the pub
@@GWilly-nf8ur True but we've still got the memories
Lennard Pearce aswell
ALBERT: That bloke phoned about the video cameras and, uh, someone come 'round moaning about a pair of ski pants. Oh, and Raquel's left ya.
Can't believe they cut off before that bit!
Hilarious!
RIP Boycie, thanks for the laughs.
Trig is my absolute favourite character. He didn't often get the chance to shine through in the series but when he did it was pure gold. Hard to believe he was also a Shakespearian actor.
@EMINƎM One who has been a member of The Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
Actually, it is not hard at all to imagine him as a Shakespearian actor. It is that training that made him so good as Trigger.
He played a murderer in a Morse episode very good tried to kill Morse
@ Alan Simpson
*Trigger wasn't a Shakespearian actor. He was a road sweeper.*
Shakespearian actors are of a very high standard and the very best. So it doesn't surprise me one bit.
RIP Boycie, absolute legend , made millions laugh, I still remember when my grandad had this show on tv and I always watched it with him, every Christmas we watch it now, thanks for the laughs and memories John, up there with some of the rest of them now, legends
This is the first thing I've seen with Boyce in it since his death, going to take a while to not get a lump in my throat seeing him, far too young
Such a great man and actor! RIP
I met him an Marlene at a charity thing a couple of years ago, they were good sports and in character. I have two books signed by Boyce still to today. Good people.
How Trig can act with a straight face is beyond me.. fkin genius god bless yer mate !
That's the acting talents of Rodger Lloyd Pack for you. I'm not too bad at dead pan humour myself but I could never keep a straight face delivering some of Trigger's lines, well most of them actually
True talent💯💯💯🎯
"So how did it turn out then mike?" "What?" "Coronation Street or Eastenders?"

Without doubt the best british sitcom ever produced perfectly cast and wonderfully written, will never be surpassed
It's not a sitcom it's a COMEDY

Yeah, Fawlty Towers, without doubt, agreed.
Not ever possible !... IT Crowd tried , came close but failed ...
RIP Boycie. You'll always be the real dad in our hearts
I can watch Only Fools And Horses week in week out and never get fed up with it. It's an absolute classic and I love 😍 it. Rest in peace Trigger.
Ok dave
Triggers facial expressions almost say it all...... Confused and tortured !
1.27 before Trigger speaks but such wonderful face-acting during that period - a picture of dense, confusion and blankness. My favourite actor in the whole series. And let's not forget John Sullivan's writing - beyond brilliant.
One of a kind in a lifetime actors and sitcom. Thank God we lived those years.
R.I.P legend will always be remembered and watched forever
When Denzel said Trigger!!! And looked at him sideways I lost it!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 classic !!!
Best episode was where Rodney won a family holiday to Spain that Delboy had entered for him. Only problem was Rodney had to be 14 years old. LMAO.
Groovy!
That from the episode called The Unlucky Winner Is...
Seen it many times before, but still worth another look, the chemistry between all the actors is apparent, and as for Trig, brilliant.
I’ve watched this clip many times before (normally when binging the box set) but today feels sadder knowing how many of these legends aren’t with us especially today!
RIP Boyce 🙏
3 of them are no longer with us. RIP.
Simply the best programme that the BBC ever transmitted, I never tire of watching that particular scene on u tube
Ok rising damp was ITV
It's spelt CZcams
0:18 : So cool how Boycie puffs on the cigar and the smoke flies over Del's head.
"Oh so that's who ..."
Denzel "TRIGGER!"

Rest in peace John, what an amazing actor you were and you brought so much to OFAH.
Oh and Raquel left ya. 😂😂
It’s scary to think that 3 of the 5 people sitting at the table are dead. RIP Boycie, Trig and Mike.
Boyces best line when he found out the child they were going to buy from Del was a girl not a boy . " Typical everything I buy off you has something missing " RIP John .
You fool,it is spelt Boycie
Rest in peace God bless thank you for the great memories and laughs you will be massively missed x
Trig? you were a bloody diamond mate. Bless you.
trigger's timing is brilliant, love the character and the man himself , so sad he has gone . R.I.P
They aren't characters in Only Fools And you prune they're actors
Characters are what you get in Mr Bean,The Simpsons and Scooby Doo
John Sullivan, absolute genius. What other sitcom still makes you laugh (bellyache laugh) after all these years?
It’s like you’ve just watched it the first time and it’s really the umpteenth time.
Showed this to my 20 yo grandson, he’s now got a box set of it, new generation who don’t know it now watching.
Yeah I watch it, also say cushty and lovely jubbly on a regular basis because of it now
I'm 26 and remember watching this growing up, i say "alright, Dave" to one of my colleagues every time i'm working with him because of this show (his name *is* Dave, but i only phrase it like that because of this show 😂)
You were watching this growing up? Your 26! You mean watching it on Dave lol 80’s 90’s show you were not born then
@@kingtyson999 What are you talking about? I didn't say i watched it when it was first aired, what does my age have to do with it? I used to watch it on UKGold and VHS tapes growing up

RIP Boyce - watched OFAH growing up as a kid - absolutely gutted. Drinking with albert, trigg & mike up in the nags in the sky.
Should have edited in the earlier conversation where Del is describing an old girlfriend.
What? So all you need is a punchline? No set-up or context? Do you understand what a joke is? lol.
For example, here's a punchline for you "she's not going to tell your wife". You should find that hilarious because you don't need the context or set-up, right?
@@SR1Records john sullivan was an expert at planting the joke early in an episode but keeping the punchline till later on, often the audience wouldnt know a joke had been planted and would just see the early conversation as unimportant to the script as a whole. hedone it in just good friends and citizen smith too,
@Mosley Shoahs Yeah, i clearly misunderstood. I didn't realise that you were being sarcastic and i thought it was a genuine question, lol. That's the problem with text - it's difficult to infer sarcasm. At least i find it is, anyway.
@Mosley Shoahs Haha, no problem.
Comedy is better when not spoon fed. I am amazed if anyone didn't get the whole story from this clip.
Rest in peace Boycie. Much love from Serbia.
RIP John challis he was a legend
Great song playing in the background: East 17 - It's Alright.
Absolutely brilliant.... ‘why ask..?’... British comedy at its best..
Watching Only Fools and Horses was a family affair. Glad I grew up watching such great TV. Comedy nowadays has nothing like characters or humour I enjoyed. Good to see Trigger go on to play more serious roles.
And I work not far from Lewisham High Steet since 1985!!!!!! How come I never seen Marleeeeene? Well, I work in the NHS and not the betting shop. Best comedy series for ever. RIP Boycie.
I share the sentiment written by everyone else in the comments. One of a kind this series. So lucky to have grown up being able to watch it the first time around. Quality content like this definitely has a positive effect on the mind. It’s clever television. Like the original 6-7 series of Red Dwarf. Fantastic writers.
I agree with everything apart from Red drawf, I never found it that funny but Fools and Horses is just brilliant
Denzil is a straight up G with the save there haha
R.I.P John Challis aka boycie such a good character
RIP Boycie. Another legend of the show gone.
RIP you absolute legend .
Crying watching this, I miss these guys fantastic acting and a great programme in general, so glad they are still showing them on Gold
What a absolute fantastic comedy this was. Me and my dad would watch this together and we would be crying through lafter. You will never see this type of comedy on our TVs again. They were brilliant. Ian from liverpool👍👍👍👍
Mike, Trigger, Boycie and John Sullivan RIP. OFAH one of the best comedy's ever....
I still watch re-runs now, absolute genius of a comedy
I've got the complete box set, best purchase I ever made!
Pure gold those comedies.
The important preamble, which makes sense of the whole thing is missing.
I wish that one day they show the outtakes and bloopers it will be hilarious to watch. They must have had such great time doing it.
I love Trigger, next to Boycie, he is easily the funniest character from the Sitcom.
Absolutely brilliant
Cannot get enough of this show
You prune it's not a show at all it's a COMEDY
SHOWS AND COMEDIES ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT
I met boycie a couple of months ago he was fantastic to listen to and at the end was happy to sign pictures and books ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ John Challis
He came from a time where a many more celebrities were humble and not narcissistic attention seekers like the majority of them are now. Social media has turned many particularly famous people into self centred egotists
Even the opening and closing theme songs are brilliant . Cheers from Australia by way of India 🇮🇳 .Miss Grandad too ?RIP Lennard Pearce and Roger Lloyd Pack .

I wonder if John Sullivan was a quick witted funny man in real life.....it was amazing the many different situations/conversations he thought up for his characters! Absolutely brilliant.
Great scene. R.I P. Boycie and Trigger 🙏❤
"Even when she left me, I refused to change. 7 years ago, but I never changed!".
Denzel is such an underrated character.
You mean Denzil
@@stephensnell5707 Well spotted, Stephen.
Always thought that John Sullivan was a master of depth & irony, subtle and obvious. The gag about Trig forgetting about things all the time, sometimes important that he had on his mind, then soon counterpointed by his total recall of the trivial - Eastenders and Coronation S - I think is a great example of Sullivan's artistry.
Named my horse after Trigger ❤️. Will always miss you legend!!!
Since Trigger was the name of Roy.Rogers horse it pretty much makes it a pointless comment.
LOL
Trig makes me laugh every time.
As long as it wasn`t Eldorado, we can all sleep easy. lol

Rest In Peace John Challis.
I love the relieved look on Del's face when Trigger forgets what he was going to say.

Denzel lives around Essex now. Seen him plenty of times. He is always next door to my work.
I met him at a Only Fools and Horses convention in Reading back in 2013. Me and my brother had a photo taken with him.
I never tire of this show. I watch them again and again lol
East 17 playing in the background!!
My wife says I don’t respect her....silly old mare!, lol😂😂
March 12, 2020, is this show "Only Fools and Horses," is it still on Brit Box? If not, when is it coming back? Do the BBC have plans to put on DVD's that work in American DVD players? I'm in the USA and I'd love to own the whole of all series of "Fools and Horses," on DVD!
Unless you watched the entire episode - possibly the entire series - you won't 'get' this. But, if you did watch it all, you will l not only appreciate the story line, you will never see such immaculate comedic timing between a group of actors as you will in this clip.
I love this!
