- What is the best place to buy precious metals? I have purchased from all the places I have listed in this video and give you the pros and cons of buying precious metals from each. I stack silver and gold to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is in deep trouble. Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Campbell’s Coins!

The only online purchases I do are reputable dealers. I don’t do these sketchy individuals. And yes, being shipped from China is a bad indicator.
Personally I’ve had very good experience with SD Bullion. Yes, they do take their time but they do need to protect themselves as well as yours.
I like ordering from the Royal Mint.
I'm NOWHERE near as knowledgeable as Mr. Campbell on the topic but for what its worth: I only buy from APMEX and have NEVER had any issues. The high prices and speedy discreet shipping are worth it. In my opinion.
JM Bullion is my go-to when they have sales. Never any problems.
Excellent information. I installed a security camera on my front porch so I know when packages are delivered and I can retrieve them immediately. I find that this helps. Great overview! 👍
Thanks for the info👍
Thank you for the info!
Great information! Thanks for posting!
Good info and guidelines to buy
Avenue Coin I highly, highly recommend! Great people!
As usual, another very good video. I like that you don't 'pull punches'. I would add SilverGoldBull to the list myself. I know, you can only say so many names. I ordered a 1/4 oz. gold 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor proof coin minted by the Perth Mint, and SGB had it shipped to the US from Singapore at no cost to me to complete the sale. I also have an LCS who's also a refiner. I've developed a good relationship with that shop. I can swap 'roos, Maple Leafs, and 10 oz. silver bars for the shop's gold, using the silver-gold ratio. I tried pawn shops here and they wanted nothing to do with silver Maple Leafs, only silver American Eagles, a coin I want nothing to do with. That Cook Island 'gold' coin has tarnished Cook Island's coins. Their Bounty gold & silver coins are both 99.99% pure (and beautiful to boot). Thank you for your two cents!
I've NEVER been cancelled by JM Bullion and I've had a LOT of orders with them. A LOT.
my local one is great hey only charge like 70$ over spot for an oz of gold.
Avenue Coin! Yep, good to deal with.
While not for everyone, and perhaps not in every community, I love buying and selling peer to peer. Meet at the local police station and trade away! Meet some interesting characters for sure. IG has a bunch of characters as well! USPS registered mail DOES cover precious metals and is very reasonable, but regular mail or priority and whatever additional insurance you add on does not. Limit of liability for USPS is $50.00 unless sent registered mail. I've sold a bit on Facebook. No issues so far. Perhaps I've been lucky. Heck, I even recently sold a bit on CZcams. All great transactions! Nice video Campbell!
I have made many purchases through SD Bullion and BGASC I made the minimum $200 to get free shipping from both just to see how each purchase went before buying anything big..Both use USPS to ship.. Both got my coins to my house..BGASC is typically cheaper ..SD Bullion goes out of their way to make sure each coin is protected ..BGASC threw all the Eagles in one capsule with a piece of foam at the top allowing Eagles to cling together..it didn't hurt any of them but to me that pushed me away from buying any large purchase from them ..I will continue to buy my silver from them as I haven't had any of my coins come damaged .. I made my first gold buffalo purchase through SD Bullion and it was flawless. The only thing that had me stressed was not due to SD Bullion but to the post office..SD Bullion made the high purchase a signature only and the post office forged my signature and put it in my mail box. I was at work and no one at my house but got a notification that I signed for the package..I was nervous the entire way home. I wish these Bullion dealers would allow you to ship UPS they would have never forged my signature ..if they had shipped to the wrong house I would have been in trouble because SD Bullion would have thought I signed for the package.
high cloud premium price for silver here in Europe.. looking for some dealers with low price in premium.
What is your opinion of Scottsdale Mint ?
I much prefer to buy from an LCS but, I have two local pawn shops that I have gotten good deals from.
