?!! What ? The opposite is true, you want to sell to an online bullion and coin dealer you will get spot price. Most coin shops are professional hagglers that will law ball you $100-$200 below to start with and will not move up much and they're really will not buy. Your advice is poor. Also you risk someone having a pawn shop swap your real gold coin for a fake one while examining it and then making you a low ball offer to keep your real gold. Your advice is bad, it is not safe to sell in small stores.

Hero bullion handled damaged gold notes terribly. Their fault for not packing appropriately. They took no responsibility. Since that time, I heard that the creator of goldback will replace damaged gold backs. No more Hero for me.

I like diversifying my sizes. I think 1oz is great for long term stacking. I like the 1/4 oz for its liquidity as it is much easier to sell to a larger precious metal customer base. Another thing to consider, is that if gold ever hits over 10k in my lifetime, I don't want to have to endure further loss by having to pay Uncle Sam his cartel cut, if I decide to cash out some gold. I would rather sell 1/4 oz gold over separate day transactions to keep each cash transaction under the 10k reporting threshold. 😉

Unlike bullion gold, where everybody knows the spot value, coin dealers grading pre 33 coins are subjective to valuation, which makes it more of a guessing game selling them.

If there is an economic collapse then the Democrats will likely initiate another 1933 gold seizure. I know they will do this because Democrats will know that most gold and silver hoarders are conservative and precious metals will be an easy target for them to rob. Of course they will say they need to do the seizure for 'the economy' or some virtue signal.

Silver and gold coins are heavily counterfeited and that will be a huge issue for shtf. Conceptually, I love these. Have a few, spent a few. Know a tax firm that intends to start accepting them soon.

The United States may be planning to liquidate the 8000 tons of gold they hold at Fort Knox. This will destroy the gold market as I see it and make the dollar stronger. The U.S. can sell their goddamn gold for whatever price they want and to whomever they want, flooding the gold market with easily obtainable gold to American citizens only. This will destroy the price of gold driving it down into the dirt. The U.S. has less than 1 Trillion dollars in gold, but their debt is 32 trillion, so it does no good for the U.S. to hold on to gold when it can't make a dent in their debt.
