- Using Sims 4 Alpha CC To Make An Attractive Sim! Instead of using Sims 4 maxis match CC, I used alpha CC in CAS to make a good looking sim. This is a Sims 4 CC video using alpha cc in CAS.

it's perfectly fine to be maxis mix.....honestly i've been doing that since sims 2 you just have to be selective about what alpha pieces you pull into your game so it matches *your* aesthetic
That's true. I mostly use Maxis Match but I sometimes just download everything I find pretty. And then I try it out in my Game and if it fits I keep it.
@@NinaSylveon second this! I use some of pralines makeup and eyebrow cc as well as some trilllyke and sentate clothes but generally stick to maxis match
I do this too. I just use alpha make up cc but the rest of my CAS are maxis match.
Once I get a legit copy I'm for sure on my way to the cc shop to make some maxis mix. I'm staying away from the hairs but everything else might be ok

I don't mind alpha CC and I love using it in TS3 but in TS4 it just stands out too much. That's where I prefer maxis match stuff.
Yeah. In the sims 3 it made sense. But the world in the sims 4 is just too cartoony for it .
I agree. I am a mm fan because I find stuff that doesn’t match distracting. Even if a graphic t shirt is written in a real-world language, I won’t download it(I am far too picky lol). I do occasionally find alpha outfits and makeup that I like tho!
@@Simplyvibing465 i use a mod that allows sims to have multible langueges. So i allow myself to download stuff with english text and pretent that its one of the langueges hehe. it makes it easier to be able to download cute things with out ruining my gameplay immersion.
I always find myself mixing alpha CC and Maxis match CC together when making my Sims lol
Same here ! I don’t like over realistic sims cause it looks a little strange and out of place but I’m not a fan of maxi’s sims from the game. So i mix and match with alphas and maxi matchs CCs. Maxi match from modders are better than what EA do but it’s just my point of view

The problem with alpha CC is that it doesn't look like The Sims 4 at all, your Alpha Sim interacting with a regular Sim is weird - the furniture, structures, the world, nothing suits your Sim.
I agree that the sims 5 could have this "alpha graphic" it wouldn't bother me at all
true and that's why alpha players end up downloading tons of alpha furniture and structures and building items to the point I genuinely wonder how the hell their game is functional at all.

i agree but also i used the sims as a silly dress up game and not a life sim so i play with alpha cc (though I also use a lot of maxis mix)

This was nice and Alpha CC can be quite fun and awesome. I just suggest you get rid of that folder and download only pieces that strike your fancy. Like get some items that really appeal to you and leave the rest behind. That way, you get the best of the best without the crappy and broken stuff that could be in that folder.

i use alpha cc almost exclusively now, but im picky about what creators i get my content from, but i do have stuff from maxis match creators as well, as long as it fits the aesthetic i go for, i'm happy

Alpha CC is the way to go. In fact, you will probably be able to find some alpha CC men's clothes that you will like. You downloaded a lot that don't have the mesh included, that's when parts of the body disappear or you get the test dummy look.

I honestly was converted to alpha CC as soon as I saw a good use of it (ie, Claire Siobhan sims. I watched her dream house series for a while and her sims are always so pretty.)
Edit: Yeah about the bits... Some skin details can do that lol. And you don't have to download the revealing outfits, there are plenty of normal ones. (it can be kinda hard to find sometimes though lol)

There is just no way to make alpha hair fit into the sims 4 aesthetic lol. It’s not even that it’s necessarily ugly, it just looks out of place.
Also I think is time for me to have a Shanice Shanice in my save file.
actually with GOOD QUALITY alpha cc (problem is a lot of them are... poor quality sorry) but you can create amazing sims that are very unique and different but not that out of place if you use maxis mix cc with

You did pretty well Satch! I'm more maxis match myself but I do have some friends on team Alpha. Both styles can look really nice if you take time creating your sims and actually download decent cc. It's more about personal preference.
(That said some Alpha skin details give me nightmares, Sorry Alpha cc lovers 💔)
I recently started watching sims series and a lot of creators use alpha/maxis mix, their sims looked so good it got me to delete all my maxis match clothing (except maybe like 10 items i love too much) and I was a huge alpha hater. Skin details and hair is still too much for me tho.
I’m mostly a Maxis Match user but I will admit, I absolutely love the preset stuff and make up when it comes to Alpha CC. The only thing that draws me away from using it more is the clothes and hair. It’s too shiny and the texture looks weird to me 😔

Coming from Second Life I LOVE alpha but I can take a good roasting in good fun 😄👌🏽 And if I recall correctly, there is a setting in MCCC dresser that let's you copy/paste makeup and skin details across all outfits in one click which I just heard about after a year and I am a bit peeved abt not finding out sooner 😩😭

Her feet are in the ground because those cc shoes require height sliders theyre mainly useful for photos not gameplay as when u slide the sim up then in other outfits without those shoes they float

Ngl, I make sims with both alpha and maxis match cc and I take almost 5 hours creating a sim that looks exactly like I imagined, and at the end its worth it (until i get bored 1 hour later a restart the process over and over again) but its really fun, I love styling sims :D

If you have MC Command Center you can copy over make up and accessories between outfits.

@@Emelymariaa ummm, don't have Sims open atm but both are accessable in the MC Command Center Dresser section. If I remember correctly go to the copy/paste section while wearing the outfit you want to copy from. Then either paste all to apply to everything or change into the single outfit you wanna paste to and do a single paste, not paste all. You can paste between different Sims, just make sure the one you wanna paste to is the one you are accessing MC Command from.

i love alpha cc for finding more natural curly hair styles that aren't super short, same with locs and braids :) but i still mix it with maxis clothes and stuff, the alpha cc is just so much easier to make poc

Other sims don't really matter to me because I do not care about them unless they become important to my game, in which case, its really fun to give them makeovers 😅
I love Shanice Shanice 2.0. Maxis mix is the best of both worlds. When the body parts were showing after you took somthing off, it might be from an alpha body default that got installed. Default bodies override the game censor and usually dont have underwear

the shoes that are clipping through do require shoe sliders to pull them up but it is a pain in the ash since you must use same shoes for every single outfit, however about 7 months ago "1-800-Cuupid" the cc creator made a tutorial video for other creators to execute the new method of shoe sliding which now actually does elevate the sims height in different lengths based on how long are the heels or platform! and tbh it actually is a cool feature and its even better if you have the "Luumia Height Mod" which lets you shorten your sims in order to not make Ladders out of them when using those shoes!

I maxis mix so for me that helps with immersion. I also have a lot of overrides in regards to textures, like for food and the terrain because I like more realistic looking things in my game. I used to be an alpha cc only but maxis cc has gotten so good over the years that I just use both. I didn’t have maxis match but it used to be very bulky and clay looking. Wasn’t my cup of tea. And I’d like to add that for most of us who wanted sims to look like them in our games we were limited in regards to maxis. The Afros people use to make were terrible lol.

You know I mix all the time. It’s according what I’m looking for cause I love making my characters from rpg campaigns with friends that we use to design and draw. So it’s hard to find what you designed (particularly when it’s a medieval fantasy theme XD and most of the CCs in this case are alphas)

I prefer Apha in theory and I love to play with it in CAS and use it in Sims 2 & 3, but the world is so cartoony and mobile-game-y in Sims 4 so when I'm actually trying to play the game I use maxis match lol. I just accept it...well, technically I mostly just play Sims 3 haha but when I do play Sims 4 I just think of it like it's a mobile game tbh, don't expect too much. It loads quicker and I can waste a small amount of time on it, vs 3 where I have to dedicate some time to it because it takes a while to load and I get sucked in for hours
everyone should use what they want, overused alpha cc completely doesn't match the game's aesthetic but that is partly what cc is for, to change it to whatever the player desires- this video is fun but personally i just mix stuff so that it doesn't stand out too much but also look nice and i am *so sick* of the community getting offended, mad or mocking others for using alpha/maxis match because everyone has a different playstyle

I think a big problem for alpha cc too is its always SUPER inconsistent I'm not just talking style I mean like so many pieces don't fit the sims correctly or clip through or something its just kinda not as well made technically as some other maxis match stuff i've seen

The shoes clipping is because many shoe mods use a slider to raise the whole sim! I know Redhead Sims has one

The one thing I HATE most about Alpha CC stuff is that creators don't make Alpha CC with playability in mind. They just make outrageous and dramatic looking stuff, but use the Sims 4 as an excuse to make it. Like if you want to make outrageous and intricate items, go ahead! They look great and us simmers know it took a lot of time and effort to make a lot of that stuff! But WE DON'T WANT IT IN OUR GAME! WE WANT REGULAR LOOKING ITEMS! WE WANT REGULAR HAIR WITH ~~~~REALISTIC~~~~ HAIR COLORS THAT ~~~~MATCH~~~~
I can't tell you how many times I go looking for custom hair, just to see a bunch of Final Fantasy, D&D, Fairycore hair styles that literally NO ONE would ever have. And if I somehow manage to find a simple ponytail hairstyle, all of the swatches are in box-dye colors with a million ugly ombre effects. Like where's the simple blonde, brown, black, and red? And why are all the blondes either snow white or highlighter orange?
And clothing too! I'll see a CC dress thumbnail, download it, but when I put it on my sim the mesh is so large that my sims have to T-pose to wear it properly.
Alpha CC is clearly not meant to be USED but rather ADMIRED, and I hate it. Yet, at the same time, maxis match stuff is all ugly af. No one is able to find a happy medium and I don't know why it's so difficult.

I've never used CC alpha or otherwise, but the CC I can't stand that so many content creators use, is the sunburned faces. Red across the whole face. People don't look like that! But they have to put it on every. single. sim. It looks ridiculous to me.
