no one the sims is a heavily patched game, so old mods and cc might not work with a new patch

Honestly you talking about how you dress irl is literally me, yet when it comes to Sims I'm like 'yes all the heels! All the accessories and makeup! All the cute clothes!' while I sit in a hoodie and jeans with no jewellery, minimal make up and having done nothing with my hair except brush it 😂😂

my problem with alpha cc is how much it clashes.
some of it actually looks good, although i think a lot of alpha cc i've seen is awful.
but it just completely clashes with the rest of the game that it ends up not looking that great.
it's like having a whole essay in times new roman and putting random words in papyrus

Sims 4 Studio has a feature that disallows all CC for random. So townies won't walk around wearing CC items.
yeah, i really appreciate the artistry of sims cc creators, like i can never ever do that. but alpha slows my 12 year old computer down and i need to have my settings on laptop mode or else everything will look absolutely CURSED THE HOUSE DOWN. its fine to look at on CAS, but its so hard to play in the world with alpha cc... maxis match isnt *as* aesthetically pleasing, but it is still really cool and works a lot better with the game.
I think the same! Alpha CC can be gorgeous but in my opinion it’s too realistic for me sometimes. All of the model thumbnails don’t even look like characters in Sims, which is a turn off for me.

I laughed so hard when she was flicking through the Trillyke (think that's how you spell it) profile and downloaded half of all those outfits. I use that creator all the time cause it's like, the only one that does good K-Pop based outfits. I just felt so proud at that moment😂

Cc shopping and creating sims is so much fun, it's one of my favorite things. I also love getting builder cc and making custom houses. You can be so creative with this game!!
I’m pretty sure that everyone goes through an alpha cc phase when they first get the sims and then as they progress into a deeper addiction to the sims they switch to maxis match/barely any cc 😎

That's what happened with me and my bf. We started playing when it came out and enjoyed alpha CC, but after a while it became such a hassle to try and make everything match the "alpha-ness" of it. You'll have these like realistic looking sims, furniture, houses, etc but the world around looks like a cartoon or made out of clay. Sure you can makeover townies and other lots, but the world itself you can't change. Plus that's a whole lot of work and hassle just to be able to enjoy alpha content fully. Though I will admit alpha content looks amazing.. it also makes your game take forever to load lol. 1 alpha hairstyle is like 30mb..

I'm exactly the same way about CC, I've just started using it & I way prefer maxis match. It throws me off completely to have a gorgeous realistic Alpha CC sim & then Mortimer Goth or someone walks by.
One of the cc creators (probably the one who made the BTS shirt) named literally all of their stuff after kpop songs and I'm obsessed.

@@Jjksdrunklive Same, I'm an ARMY & I like some other groups too! The creator is Trillyke & the shirt is Paper Plane T-Shirt (Part 2). They have a lot of kpop-inspired stuff, like clothing bits from various music videos or in a similar style to what the idols wore. I've basically downloaded half of the creations lol

I edited all sims in the game now eveyone is realistic but my computer wasn't amazing enough for cc over 60 sims so I only have 58 sims with custom content I also edited Santa goth family the sims comes with mods such as burglars or murderers
Trillyke is my favorite cc creator!! honestly, my current legacy sims outfit's are 90% from them lol

@@Henrex2000 Be careful with your use of the word "objectively". It's not objectively better. For me personally it would be the superior game if I were able to play it without the constant lag taking away all the enjoyment. I don't wanna start this whole dicussion about which Sims game is the best, for me personally it's Sims 2, but that's an opinion, not an objective fact. The misuse of the word "objective" is one of my biggest pet peeves.
Sims 3 is superiorrrr
Sims 3 was ahead of its time, and I can see why the Sims 4 was as watered down as it is given what a mess the Sims 3 was. The sandbox style and immersion that the worlds had were great in theory, but then you were dealing with horrible lag, constant glitches and I remember reading on forums and stuff that some players couldn’t even play in certain worlds (Bridgeport was a big one with this problem) because there was too much going on and the game couldn’t keep up. What I do wish the Sims 4 did relative to the Sims 3 were packs that had enough content to be worth the cost, but the Sims 4 really isn’t that bad.Not a great game like last installments, but its not bad either.

Every single Sim, the first time I come across them in my game, gets a Full Cas Edit Mode level makeover as does every member of their household. I spend hoursssssss of my gameplay just making over alllll the townies and houses. Alpha is everywhere in my game lol.

oh god trillyke. i love them SO MUCH! i also just went through their page downloading everything when i got my new computer and had to rebuild my cc folder. i wouldn't even call them entirely alpha, they're in that sweet middle spot where depending on the rest of your sim it can go either way

Madlen is my FAVORITE shoe maker, like aaaaaah. Peacemaker has a great blog for Maxis Match furniture and male clothing and I've downloaded like all his furniture as long as I have the packs lol. I also intentionally sought out Converse for my simself.

When I first started playing sims4 I had no clue that maxis match cc existed bc all I knew was TSR alpha cc, but once I found mm I never looked back ( I still use senate ‘s clothes too tho lol)
