He has all the makings of a top midfielder. He's quick, strong, knows where the goal is, defensively sound, good vision and is also aggressive something you need to succeed in England. My only worry now is his execution of his passes, but a year on from this game, I'm sure he would have improved as he would have been working with the best coaches in the world. He has the potential to surpass Lampard, Gerrard and Scholes, we just have to see if he does now.
looks very raw and tends to be rather casual in passing but you can see he has something
I must say.. he chased the ball better than anyone ive ever seen...
Love ur vids.. Any chance of a nick powell vs galatas?? From tonight ;-)
I didn't say Busquetes plays defence splitting passes, he controls the midfield, Xavi plays those passes. Xavi is a genius, and I'm one of the first people to give him the credit he deserves. By holding Scholes in such a high light, it's not discrediting Xavi's genius at all, just emphasising how amazing Scholes was in his prime, Xavi himself called Scholes the best + most complete midfielder over the past 15-20 years, but too many people discredit Scholes for being an English player.
whats the name of the song??
you should look at his goals when he played for Crewe ;)
Song name please?
It was pre season game.
either him or fabregas
My god he tore them apart. They just couldnt deal with him.
Not in this game necessarily, I mean in their careers.
Nick Powell vs Barcelona or Barcelona vs Nick Powell? he's chasing the ball... thats it
when did nick powell play barca? thought this was a youth game??
Xavi is perfect midfield but Scholes is the greater midfield
I have, and I don't doubt he was one of the best players of the century. But why people overhype their idols and put down players they doesn't seem to be familiar off? Xavi in his prime was one great player, being one of the best passers of all time and with an innate ability to orchestrate the play, Xavi never been a "far worse" player than scholes, that's ignorance. Period.
And no barca bandwagon wtf (lol, how does that relates to anything I said?...),
a great defensive midfielder in the making by the look of it
Busquets doesn't play defence splitting passes. Not much.
Won't get the argument any further than this, you think scholes was a better player? fine, your opinion, but you're underrating what xavi was on his prime, not because it's "mainstream" it stop being true, Xavi was one of the very best players in the last years, and there is no player who you come up with, and safetely say he is a ->FAR
haha, keep it on the ground Xavi, there's a good lad.
did you ever watch Scholes play in his prime?
Jump off the Barca bandwagon and realise that there can be better players than those that exist in Spain.
I think I speak for anyone who knows anything when I say that Scholes was far better than Xavi ever was.
Xavi became great when he was like 26-27 years old, Scholes has always been great.....Scholes was better
xavi has more class
Scholes in his prime was far better than Xavi, Scholes could run a midfield and play defence splitting passes, a job that is shared by 2 men at Barca, Xavi and Busquetes. Busquetes is Barca's most important midfielder, without him they wouldn't keep possession as easily as they do. Scholes would run any game he played in, no-one could get near him. Xavi is brilliant, but way overhyped, everyone seems to think no-one could ever do what the current Spain team can do, Scholes could.
lol oh sweet ignorance
