With quality analysis,one could easily pick Paul scholes over any other midfielders.This man brings it all to the table, he can change a game with his different categories of passes,long range shootings, header, freekick, tap in, long range curlers,dummy runs,even with a hard tackle required of a red card if it could savour a point or 3.
He masterd the art of football both physically and mentally. Dude speaks to the ball and it responds with immense accuracy...Even your phone calls to your contacts is not as accurate as his passing range.

Even though he was 36 and 38 years old respectively in the 2009 and 2011 UCL Finals vs Barcelona, I feel if Sir Alex had played him for 75 minutes United would have had more control in the game (also because the Barcelona players respected him so much and you could see this in the 10-15 minutes that Scholes came on as a sub in both finals how United improved)

Saw this match live, the match for itself was boring but Scholes made the match so brilliant to see, all his touches was incredible. Always lifted the auidence. But you missed a nutmeg he did on Dani Alves. Good video though

Yeah very short sited. Pushing him out on the left to accommodate other players. That will always be englands lost opportunity. Shame. I'm Irish so it doesn't hurt me much but I remember the time thinking this is so dumb. They also grossly underutilized carrick over the years. These guys were made for international football and wasted.
@@Player1IeMaynooth i think your right. should have been built aroubnd technique in scholes instead of box to boxes liek gerrard and lampard. although i love gerrard scholes was the greatest of them in terms of pure center midfilder he was almost perfection. should have been built around him. although i can understand the difficulty in picking the best between becks, lamps, gerrard and scholes as that is almoast impossible but if one truly knows the game of football will know its scholes first followed by becks lampard band gerrard in no particular order

Yep because Xavi isn't 5 years younger than Scholes who is like 38 now. Don't compare Xavi in his prime to an ageing Scholes. In fact when Xavi was below 30 , when United with a younger Scholes played Barcelona; I didn't see them score a single goal over two legs...They are obviously better than him now but make some legit comparisons.

Never said scholes is bad, my point is xavi n iniesta hav surpassed him BY FAR.. whether its the international level (scholes doesnt even stand a chance ther), or club level. no player in history has won more trophies than those 2 players, believe it or not, and yes scholes is masterclass, but nonetheless, lik it or not, the 2 hav outgrown his success, whether u wna look it through, facts, figures, or opinion..
