Behind the Saaz hops there is also a lot of sweat from the labour of teenagers. Generations and generations of high school students were so called "na chmelu" in this region.

In Australia we have many great beers, I'm off to Europe next year and would love to taste your local brews. In Slovenia they have kept the name of Kranjska klobasa (Kranski sausage) So I know about Original branding ie Champagne etc

There is nothing direct as far as I know. You have to change once both bus or train. The duration is +- same, 2 hours.

That`s their version of a Lazenska oplatka from West Bohemian Spas.
I think it is more typical for czech beer bills not to use the crossbar. In germany the use of the crossbar is the normal way.
Or it changed in the last years.
It depends on pub. Crossbar is good for counting at the end - Its easier to count by 5.
Zatec might be hop capital but it has never been and never wanted to be "beer capital". These days there is hardly any brewing done in Zatec. Perhaps 3 or 4 breweries two of which are micro. Even when the Zatecky pivovar was still an industrial brewery, its beer output in hectoliters per annum was nowhere near those of other Czech breweries. While I ageee on the hops part, I do feel that calling Zatec the global beer capital is extremely far off reality.
Czech Republic does not exist without beer
I'll have to say I like the Belgian trappist beers the best. There is such a huge variety in tastes and alcohol contents - most are above 5%, and some of the quadrupels go up to 11 or 12%. I don't care much for pils; I don't find pils to be particulary thirst-quenching. It's usually too bitter and dry. But when I'm in Prague, I'm always looking for a different pils to try. It turns out that my favorite Czech beer is Kozel Black, but that's not a pils.
Companies who can't make good beer make flavored or gimmicky beers to hide the taste of their failures...
Sorry to disagree with you but the best beer are the trappist beers in Belgium.
