    Carnivore is probably the only reset that works. Tried all of your recommendations and am still leptin resistant 1. Increase protein 2. skipping breakfast 3. increase fiber 4. water (too much dilutes nutrients) 5. sleep 6. pushups 7. berberine, probiotics, alpha lipoic acid

    The #1 thing that has helped me w my appetite and over eating is to Not have coffee Before breakfast! It destroyed my hormones and my Cortisol was so high. Now I feel full and have more energy from coffee after eating breakfast!!

    Notes :
    1. Pump The Protein - 25 to 30 grams of protein every 4 hours, you may set a timer on your phone to remind you
    2. 12 Hour Fast - Eat dinner by 6PM, then eat breakfast by 6AM consistently :>
    3. More Fiber - 6-8 servings of fruit/vegetables per day, or 1 tablespoon of pysyllium husk or a tablespoon of ground flaxseed
    4. Up The Water - At least 100 oz per day, you may use a water bottle that can measure your water intake
    5. Sleep - at least 7-8 hours of sleep consistently
    We're all in this together! You got this!

    I was told I have leptin resistance from mold toxicity. But I don't crave food, I hardly eat. Maybe 1 meal a day and a small snack....no sugar grains or processed foods. Now I'm confused lol

    What’s the difference between leptin n insulin resistance because both are hunger issues my problem same ifeel every time hungry

    • @DrTazMD
      @DrTazMD  Před rokem +4

      insulin resistance means the body does not respond to insulin leading to high blood sugars- leptin resistance is where you don’t feel full due to high leptin levels- so end up eating more

    I've been suffering from what I think is leptin resistance for years now. I'm not sure what caused it, but a guess is it's due to immune or gut dysfunction. I'm often (with some relief occasionally) starving, even after large meals with plenty of calories. I've tried all these tips in your videos and others and nothing seems to make any difference in solving the issue. It literally is starvation and almost like eating is useless and a waste of money

      have you increased protein and started weight training?
      if not working would talk to your doc about medications like metformin or ozempic that’s can help

      @@DrTazMD Thanks for your response. I've tried both of those things and so many others. I've tried Saxenda before that was suppose to help with appetite and weight control but it did nothing at all. It seems like I'm on my own trying to figure this thing out. Interestingly, the hunger is cyclical with some periods of remission and then inevitably flares up badly again

      I just wanted to reach out to give you some encouragement. I did a step down approach by accident. First, I started intermittent fasting. Then I did a 20 day fast, I did use artificial sweeteners for tea, had diet pepsi and salt, and it completely destroyed my gut microbiome. And I think that was the thing I needed. It took a good 4 months after that to start pooping normally and recolonize my gut. When I started refeeding, I went on keto and was able to transition to OMAD. Lost about 35lbs and plateaued. At this point, I had stopped getting really hungry and I would frequently eat to the point of pain and still feel hungry before all of this. So anyway, I started myo inositol and felt peckish. Then for 2 days I was insatiable. I'm serious, ravenous to the point of angry tears. I just didn't understand it but it broke after two days. I just got my labs back. I didn't get a leptin level but everything else was in an optimal range and I'm not hungry. For the first time in my life that I can remember, I'm not hungry. I take 4500mg of myo inositol in the morning and at night and 300mg dihydroberbermine 30min before my OMAD and I'm satisfied. I think I've lost as much weight as I can without gaining muscle to speed up my metabolism but I've reversed any metabolic disease I had. And I had taken high doses of prednisone for years so I was a mess. You can do this...
