Speaking of Dahmer and bundy, I'm desperately hoping we don't end up with a side of tiktok that simps for oj like there is for those two. I just can't with tiktok.
Yeah, this is...pretty much how I feel about this. Imagine FAMOUSLY losing a loved one. To an INSANELY FAMOUS MAN. And he gets let off. And now you're scrolling through TikTok and he pops up on your feed GOLFING
You were actually correct in the beginning with "responsible for the murders of"... even though he was found Not Guilty in the criminal trial, he was found responsible in the civil trial, which means even though he wasn't punished for it, he still is responsible. That's also why the proceeds of the book go directly to the victims family because he is not allowed to profit directly from the murders in any way.
@sakuhimu6190 that is pretty much the truth though. Everyone knows he did it. The DNA evidence said he did it. However our legal system worked in his favor by letting him off. His lawyers did a really really good job at attacking the cops and making it all about racism to the point that most people don't realize that the DNA put him there. DNA was still in its infancy at the time and not as trusted as it is today. If you go back and look at the evidence, it's pretty damming. That's why he was found "responsible" in civil court. But because he got that not guilty in the criminal trial, they couldn't try the case again and he was allowed to go free.
This is reminding me of the German serial killer in the 40s who killed women via strangling them with their bras. When he was sentenced, he got to write and publish poetry from outside of prison, and the poems made him so adored and famous, the public protested for him to be sent free. And when he eventually did serve his sentence, and was basically a semi idol at this point, he got a job on the local news all while being received as this kind hearted reformed murderer who redeemed himself from his misdeeds. Guess what? He started killing again
yeah, and there’s this other japanese cannibal that wasn’t sent to jail due to a loophole. He ended up being interviewed by people in person who knew he did it, and he was also casted into a movie with the role of a character who’s a cannibal. In one of the interviews he also admitted that he’s planning on eating another person before he dies. it’s so fucked up
If I ever laugh while talking about the case of Nicole Brown Simpson, it’s not because it’s funny, it’s because of how absolutely *absurd* the entire situation is.
As someone who was 9 years old when the OJ Simpson trial happened and followed it very closely, I feel like I'm living in an alternate universe knowing he uses social media and openly makes murder jokes.
I'm 36 and OJ's trial was the first one I ever got obsessed with (I was about 8). I faked being sick to stay home from school and see the verdict that day. I know I am in the darkest timeline when OJ is on TikTok joking about his murders and the daughters of the guy who magically made a bag full of what was probably the clothes full of Nicole and Ron's blood all over them disappear are some of the most famous people on earth. It's absolutely wild.
@@theabsoluteworst1882 😂Yes! I didn't watch that show until it was over and I got with my husband. Normally, when he gets me to watch something that isn't horror, I hate it, but Community was a pleasant surprise and I watched it over a period of like two years. The first time I ever saw the darkest timeline episode was the night of the 2016 election....so as soon as the results were in, I turned to my husband and said, "Oh fuck...we have just entered the darkest timeline." The years since then have only reinforced that but each time a new terrible thing happens, that is now my reflexive response. 🤣😂🤣
Dude, same. I'm almost 38 and I remember being absolutely engrossed in this case. I feel like it was really the first time I truly learned what murder is. It was nuts.
how disgusting he is is wild, like not only did you take nicole and ron away from their loved ones and take their lives from them in the first place, but you're deadass laughing about whether or not you did it. like the complete lack of empathy, self-awareness and common sense is astounding. how OPEN he is about being so disrespectful to his own murder victims is fucking insane
I feel so horrible for the victims' families. I can't even fathom mourning a death, having that death be a murder, and then seeing the monster who did it being so flippant.
my dad waited on ron goldman’s parents (i think his dad and step-mom, if my memory’s correct) at a restaurant in arizona almost ten years ago. he said they were some of the nicest people he’d ever served, but that they also seemed incredibly sad and lonely. i can’t imagine how they’re doing now, if they’re still with us
My step-father called everyone to the livingroom and we watched the white Bronco chase live when he realized the chase was about to actually pass by us right outside. The entire trial was one of the worst periods of our lives. He was a racist black man, resentful and violent, using us to express his worst feelings. The acquittal didn't help us at all. It made him even more arrogant and violent.
I was 14 at the time. I remember watching the coverage of the bronco on the news and wondering if those men would die. I have been reading the comments and I am genuinely surprised how many people are commenting like everyone knew OJ did it. I'm from Montana, and even people here were asking, "it's the LAPD, how would anyone know if he did it?" I just wanted to thank you for reminding everyone that he never helped anyone after communities rallied around him.

That shirt is not wrong in many ways. OJ did it. And, Orange juice has more sugar than most soda’s on the market. It’s been studied and many believe orange juice for breakfast is responsible for giving people the wrong idea of health when in actuality it may give you insulin resistance, due to the high glycemic inside of orange juice. Meaning diabetes. one of the leading causes of death in the United States is complications due to diabetes and obesity. Orange juice literally could mean death. Stick to eating whole fruits and not the juice concentrates.
An important clarification about our (US) court system: in a criminal trial, the verdict is guilty or not guilty. The word choice of “not guilty” is because the defense has no responsibility to prove innocence, they only have to stop the prosecution from proving guilt. So an acquittal doesn’t mean he didn’t do it, it just means they can’t prove that he did.
The defense doesn't *have* to do anything. A defendant has a RIGHT to defend themselves, but they do not *have* to. The burden of proof is on the Prosecution and ONLY the Prosecution.
Even though there was enough evidence to prove he did it… like his blood. And his hair on Goldman’s body. And his shoes. And the fact that he booked it trying to get away from LAPD. And bloody gloves outside of his house. Swimming in evidence, but unfortunately I feel like the case was already closed when Lance Ito was chosen as the judge. Ito had history of misconduct when handling court cases before, at the same time the team representing the court came ill prepared. I feel like OJ had a hand in Ito being placed as judge but he also just got lucky that the defendant team was not entirely on their Ps and Qs about this trial.
He kinda didn't. After losing the civil trial he turned to theft to make enough money to pay off said loss, got caught, and was sentenced To 33 years. I think he only spent a decade in prison and about five years parole. I'm not positive about the dates. Not to mention all the money he had to pay to the victim's family including losing the rights to his book which is kinda funny. Not saying it's enough, but he didn't technically get away with it.
The fact that he could legit come out and be like “haha I actually did it” and they could do nothing about it because you can’t be tried twice (unless they found a way to try him in Military court). The only thing they could do is try him for perjury (lying in court) but the statute of limitations is 5 years for that. Even if they could still get him for perjury, it’s not like he would even do a lot of time considering the max sentence is 5 years. This is why I think he’s so chill about writing a book explaining how “he’d do it IF he had done it” (which lets be honest, we all know he did it) and going on social media basically fucking with people about it. He knows he can’t get in trouble basically.
Incorrect. The jury found him not guilty, which is synonymous to innocent, a term which isn't used as a verdict. OJs defence team persuaded the jury into believing that the blood sample was mishandled and the trial was based on racism which led to them finding him "not guilty", the trial was never "found to be manipulated" like you are wrongfully claiming
That’s not true, it wasn’t found that the trial was manipulated. The prosecution did a bad job, the judge was in it for the publicity (hence why it lasted so long), and the jury didn’t feel the prosecution proved guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Acquittal doesn’t mean innocence, but double jeopardy laws mean they should’ve brought a rock solid case to court and they didn’t. Saying the trial was manipulated is misinformation.
I remember in high school stumbling across OJ’s Twitter and losing my mind over it with my friends in class. He had soooo many tweets about something big coming in 2020, lots of stuff about “the juice will be loose in 2020” and we were wondering what he possibly was going to do. Then covid happened. I’m still kinda convinced OJ is responsible for covid.
It’s really interesting to watch his behaviour. Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) is very common among football players because of the repetitive blows to the head. Right now, they can only tell if someone has it after that person has died because it requires an autopsy. Curious to see if he displays progressing symptoms of CTE as he ages (dementia), as earlier stage CTE causes aggression, impulse control problems and impaired judgement. Not at all to excuse his behaviour, what OJ did was awful but interesting to see if CTE was a factor/is something he has.
......me who has been banging my head against walls since i was three: i'm in Danger🧍🏾 (i've already decided to bring it up with my doctor eventually, i have felt suspicious about it for a while. but i just... yeah like you said, not much they could tell me tbh)

Your a corny Karen. Just like incel dude in video. Why he does he care about oj so much. Glazing crazy. Dude was proved innocent in court. Comparing him to Jeffery dahmer is crazy asf. Oj is old retired dude, of course he has time to run a tik tok and answer questions on it. It’s not that surprising. He’s interacting with fans. This dude who made video is so cringe.
It's really pathetic. He was so loved so much by the public before the trial, and he's clearly trying to get that love back, but bro, we know you did it.
To me, it seems the opposite. He’s embracing the image of being the killer. In a way, he’s based now. Not that I agree with what he’s done, but fuck if he ain’t owning it.
What I hate most is that where I went to high school the US History class has a whole section about the OJ case and now the teachers have to include OJ's TikTok into their education plan.
No wonder most kids are freaking dumb af. The education system is a complete joke teaching other crap other than the curriculum. I was fortunate enough not to have to deal with the woke ideology that is taught in schools and colleges today. What a waste of f*cking money.
What's fucked up is you can see that he doesn't see the victims as people, otherwise he would't be doing any of this even if he wasn't feeling any remorse, he would just keep quiet. Imagine being one of the victims' family member and seeing this, absolutely disgusting. He is clearly enjoying his power way too much and people who are commenting on his tiktoks, playing along with the joke are probably affected by deep stages of internet brain rot and need a reality check asap.
There was a lawsuit I believe which resulted in Nicole's family gaining the rights and revenue to the book If I Did It, so they changed the prints so that the word 'IF' was barely visible on the title
You know what’s literally so crazy dawg (other than literally this whole fricking video), we just covered (and will be covering his case in future classes) the OJ Simpson case in my Forensics class. We talked about how he murdered people, and was released because of lack of evidence. Now he’s on TikTok. This planet scares me so much 💀💀
This is like the modern version of how BTK was arrested. Almost 20 years later, "Haha, stupid cops couldn't catch me" writing letters to them and they arrested him almost immediately after that. So goddamn stupid. 😂
Yeah . Btk asked the police if they could track him if he sent a floppy disk. And told them not to lie and OF COURSE THEY LIED! 😂🤣😂 and they said no! We can't track it!!! And duh! They can and did!
Well it doesn’t help that he used a floppy disk that had already been used at the church he worked at. Rather than using a fresh blank… He wrote over church shit and of course they traced it back.
I used to not really know a lot about oj simpson and the trial, so I didn't really have an opinion on if he did it or not. But then I heard that he wrote a book called "if I did it" in which he explains how he 'would have done it' 'theoretically'. So, yeah, he did it. Edit: just got to the point in the video where you mention it.
I have read the book. Well a lot of the book. It’s bad. He paints Nicole as totally unhinged, and himself as a victim. Never is anything his fault ever, and the smallest mistake or misstep by Nicole is the end of the world. I had to put it down so found it so disturbing. However I am pleased to inform you that because of the lawsuit Ron and Nicole’s families levied against him, Oj has lost all the rights to this book and all earnings from its sale go back to the families of his victims. Which is why I felt comfortable with buying it in the first place. Oh and the families sued Oj for the “wrongful death” of their loved ones. So there.
I just. My brain is trying to wrap my head around this. I’m so. We were forced to learn and were quizzed on our knowledge of this man’s case and the justice system , watched documentaries in depth about it in high school, and seeing him just living and broadcasting his life feels. Disrespectful and Disgusting? Like we all know he wasn’t convicted, so to be engaging like this is just Horrifying. He should not be able to do this, the fact that he is able to talk to impressionable youth through tiktok is just a terrifying realization
As someone who had taking a law class🤓 which ovibously is not law school, but still, there is a reason why it is "not guilty" and not the defendant is "innocent." This is because it's basically stating "we do not know if you are innocent but we do not have enough evidence to say you're guilty or that you did the crime." in OJ's case, it is a very clear of, we can not prove that you did it in a court of law so you can go free. Just something I learned :þ love your videos, btw.
Not only was his blood at the crime scene but so were carpet fibers from his car. And Nicole and Ron’s blood were at his house and on a blood soaked sock in his house. He 100% did it, and he can make these jokes because he knows he can’t be charged again.

I remember in school we weren’t allowed to talk about the case. Not guilty does mean innocent, "innocent" is literally one of the 2 antonyms of "guilty" and is synonymous with "guiltless". Also double jeopardy is a thing, it just doesn't apply between civil and criminal court as well as state and federal court, you can be tried for the same thing in each of these once
@@katiequeen7225 While not guilty is synonymous to innocent as words, I'm pretty sure it's not always the case with the justice system. Because not guilty can mean innocent, yes, but can also mean, for example "hey, we didn't find enough proof to incriminate you" So the end is the same, right? If there is not enough proof then the person is considered innocent? Well, yes, but doesn't mean it is true. I don't know if I was clear though, so sorry about that.
@@ellyx7214 This is what Wikipedia says and it's close enough to my own understanding that I think it's accurate. Besides losing and grieving their friend/family member who was brutally murdered, watching the media circus it turned into, seeing the man responsible walk out of court with an acquittal, seeing the killer make money off of their horrible tragedy with interviews & a book that is basically him re-enacting his sadistic crimes, & NOW THEY HAVE TO SEE HIM LIVING THE LIFE & FUCKING AROUND ON TIKTOK LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED?!? It’s like when the dahmer & bundy movies/shows came out but if they starred dahmer & bundy themselves! What is the obsession with revictimizing people & exploiting people’s trauma like this?!?
Speaking of Dahmer and bundy, I'm desperately hoping we don't end up with a side of tiktok that simps for oj like there is for those two. I just can't with tiktok.
Yeah, this is...pretty much how I feel about this. Imagine FAMOUSLY losing a loved one. To an INSANELY FAMOUS MAN. And he gets let off. And now you're scrolling through TikTok and he pops up on your feed GOLFING
at least they get book royalties and sales now
@@wolvie1618 I doubt it. He’s not white. Like genuinely
@@Reiman33 Kinda ironic coming from "the free speech zealot"
You were actually correct in the beginning with "responsible for the murders of"... even though he was found Not Guilty in the criminal trial, he was found responsible in the civil trial, which means even though he wasn't punished for it, he still is responsible. That's also why the proceeds of the book go directly to the victims family because he is not allowed to profit directly from the murders in any way.
Ngl.. that's even more fucked lol. It's like the system is saying we know he did it... buuuut....
Watching this after the death goes hard frfr

He looking up at us rn
right, he's in hell
real as fuck bro
This is reminding me of the German serial killer in the 40s who killed women via strangling them with their bras. When he was sentenced, he got to write and publish poetry from outside of prison, and the poems made him so adored and famous, the public protested for him to be sent free.
And when he eventually did serve his sentence, and was basically a semi idol at this point, he got a job on the local news all while being received as this kind hearted reformed murderer who redeemed himself from his misdeeds. Guess what? He started killing again
yeah you’re referencing to jack unterweger:) and he was austrian actually
yeah, and there’s this other japanese cannibal that wasn’t sent to jail due to a loophole. He ended up being interviewed by people in person who knew he did it, and he was also casted into a movie with the role of a character who’s a cannibal. In one of the interviews he also admitted that he’s planning on eating another person before he dies. it’s so fucked up
@@shay5479 Thank the lord for him being immobilized enough to never actually carry out this plan of getting to cannibalize again.
If I ever laugh while talking about the case of Nicole Brown Simpson, it’s not because it’s funny, it’s because of how absolutely *absurd* the entire situation is.
Oh cmon it’s a little funny. Due to the absurdity, sure. We can come together on that.

I can't even fathom mourning a death, having that death be a murder, and then seeing the monster who did it being so flippant.
my dad waited on ron goldman’s parents (i think his dad and step-mom, if my memory’s correct) at a restaurant in arizona almost ten years ago. he said they were some of the nicest people he’d ever served, but that they also seemed incredibly sad and lonely. i can’t imagine how they’re doing now, if they’re still with us
@@sondpnichqfvdthat’s so sad.
I'm from Montana, and even people here were asking, "it's the LAPD, how would anyone know if he did it?"

Stick to eating whole fruits and not the juice concentrates.
got reccomended this right after finding out he died wtf

An important clarification about our (US) court system: in a criminal trial, the verdict is guilty or not guilty. The word choice of “not guilty” is because the defense has no responsibility to prove innocence, they only have to stop the prosecution from proving guilt. So an acquittal doesn’t mean he didn’t do it, it just means they can’t prove that he did.
The defense doesn't *have* to do anything. A defendant has a RIGHT to defend themselves, but they do not *have* to. The burden of proof is on the Prosecution and ONLY the Prosecution.
Then later found he was civically liable for their deaths. We can say he is responsible for their deaths.
I feel like OJ had a hand in Ito being placed as judge but he also just got lucky that the defendant team was not entirely on their Ps and Qs about this trial.
still can't believe he got away with it
He kinda didn't.
@@Tulin730 not guilty
@@ramslife7295 Not guilty. He was found responsible for though and imprisoned for it. Funny how the judicial system works.
If he didn't do it I'd assume he was a witness but we all know that he did it probably
He wasn't found innocent, it was found that the trial was manipulated and therefore must be acquitted.

No you were correct- he’s responsible for their deaths according to the civil courts.
What's fucked up is you can see that he doesn't see the victims as people, otherwise he would't be doing any of this even if he wasn't feeling any remorse, he would just keep quiet. Imagine being one of the victims' family member and seeing this, absolutely disgusting.
Seriously who tf does that. Weirdest thing ever!
The held a whole trial and decided he was liable for their wrongful deaths. It was well decided
So there.

Not guilty is not the same as innocent, though. And he was found responsible in a civil case but well... Double jeopardy should be a thing.
Because not guilty can mean innocent, yes, but can also mean, for example "hey, we didn't find enough proof to incriminate you"
So the end is the same, right? If there is not enough proof then the person is considered innocent? Well, yes, but doesn't mean it is true.
