My boyfriend and I can have this dynamic when we flirt and banter. We know each other really well and most importantly we know how to turn it off. I'm the "annoyed boyfriend" in this case and he knows how I act when I'm actually annoyed by something which is very different than when we're doing our thing. It's also only in a few contexts and being on camera would absolutely not be one of them. We already never do it in front of people cuz we're afraid they'll think we're actually bickering.

Finally a good take on this relationship. I was getting so frustrated seeing everyone on tik tok being insanely blind and obtuse to their publicly shown negative relationship dynamics, it was sad. She was always inappropriately over happy and annoying at times (disclaimer: I think she’s a sweet girl and deserves happiness but compared to the way he was acting constantly it was cringe and sad to watch) and he was never matching her energy and people romanticized that toxic energy so much it was scary.
