Welcome to our weekly vlog from aboard our 57ft Narrowboat.
You join us for part two of our holiday. We have arrived in Bath and visit the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal, Bradford on Avon and of course Bath.

Nice journey today and Bath is lovely. Nice look with your straight hair Mrs B. You both looked so hot and I’m sitting by the fire 🔥 on a cold winters day in New Zealand and looking forward to spring.

Marcella and I are enjoying your vacation sitting in our A/C. We both like the straight hair on Mrs. B. We never take vacation in July or August because of the heat. 50 years ago we got married in August. Last time off that month of the year, lol.
Oh Bill we would have paid big money for AC whilst on our little break, it was so hot at night in the hotels we stayed in! Still had a lovely time though as you never know what you are going to get here in the UK! Mrs B xx

Who ARE these people who take in so much washing ?
How tall are they, that they can even REACH the handle ?
You find the most intriguing places to visit,
ie. the "Hanging Canoes of Bradford",
the "Deepest Bath in Bath" on the K 'n A, (all locked up).
A veritable "Wonderland" of strange sights !
Maybe even Hells Gate, judging by the heat !
Wot a wonderful time you must be having, I'm so jealous.

Great videos as always, and enjoying Episode 2 of your Holidays. Talking of Holidays, we are curious to hear if you are planning on taking your new boat off the dock and using it as intended? We have been eagerly awaiting for the episode where you cast off the lines, even if it is for a quick run out of the marina 😊.

Hi James, thank you so much for the lovely comments, dos pleased that you are liking our vids, much appreciated. We are definitely floaters and not boaters and without wanting to offend anyone we just have no interest in taking the boat out, we love using it as our footing home and keeping it on the marina. Plus we are now actively looking for a wide beam and will be needing to sell our NB and don't want to risk taking it out and having a bump! Mrs B xx

32 is Darwin temperatures, crazy for walking in but hell such a beautiful area, it was one of the places we really planned on going to when we got our Narrowboat, that’s looking like just a dream now. We went and looked at houseboats down the Gold Coast (southern Queensland). Could have brought a beautiful one for about the same price as a narrowboat but boy EXPENSIVE. Cheap mooring is about $200 a week, it has to come out of the water heaps more often than a narrowboat as it’s in salt water. You have 2000km of waterways, we’ve got about 100km. Still only 24% of Queenslanders vaccinated. Good question, hOw do you get off that boat. Thanks heaps for the beautiful vlog brilliant one again. Take care guys. 💕
Oh Pauline it was so hot but agree it was such a beautiful area and we loved it. I googled Darwin last nigh, WOW it looks a wonderful part of the world and the we looked at the average daily temps in summer our mouths just fell open!!! Gosh thats expensive to moor and with the cost of having to take a boat out because of the slat water makes that a very expensive proposition. Well it really is the height our summer over here now and since that hot week we have had nothing by way of the sun again, its just grey and drizzle rain!!!! Thank you as always for the lovely comment and insight because we really do love to hear from you. Who knows one day we may even had a nice cup of tea and natter in person, the work is a smalll place sometimes if the stars align! Mrs B xx
I’d really like to think our paths would cross sometime. We lived in Darwin for 35 years, mate so hot. I kinda had a bit of a chuckle to myself when I noticed you put your hair up, I use to do that all the time. Starting to warm up here but right now it’s perfect, between 22 and 25 during the day but considerably colder at night but great to snuggle under the doona, sadly that cooler weather will soon be gone. Take care guys and again thanks for the great vlogs. 💕

hiya nice people how you both doing, thank you for having me along again superb places and the sunshine showed them at there best, two pounds each to get into a garden that is taking the sweet pee but that was rather cheap i went to a garden a few years back five pounds each mine was a treat that must have been 8 9 years ago they were selling pyms five pounds a throw talk about robbery got about an inch of pyms in a tall plastic glass topped up with soda water and tinned not fresh fruit salad needless to say i passed on that, thank you both again i look forward to your next jaunt, take care both keep well keep safe.

Lovely vlog. What a lovely place Bath is, we have only driven through but would love to have a weekend there. The canal looks lovely. At least the weather has calmed down now. Hope its nice after friday as we are off to Wales for two weeks.
