Curious if you ever feel any hip or lower back pain from throwing w the “slingshot method”
Not if I’m in good shape. I was constantly injuring myself when I first started, that’s why I had to learn a new way to do it.
@@slingshotdiscgolf1897 by good shape what do you mean exactly? I tend to get sore in my hips/lower back when throwing a lot specifically trying to throw with my hips and get more lag. I’m looking to strengthen my body so I don’t have to deal with this as much. I’m guessing it can also be due to my form.
I’m 46 and certainly not in the best of shape. Have a doughy core lol. But what has helped me with the program is making sure to do the warmups and doing the exercise drills. Also doing some sit-ups and planks has helped me be more strong when doing the slingshot method.
If you're over weight and inactive you will have soreness from working muscles you never use. Stretching and exercise will help.
Warming up the hips and core can't be done with the usual stretches either.
Wanna look at things like 90-90s, leg swings, side leg raises, bent over T rotations, and other sorts of twists.
Lower back and posterior chain is generally pretty weak for most...
Things like deadlifts, rdls, hip thrusts, rowing machine etc can help strengthen it.
