    I've seen pros say to stagger the feet (Gibson, Lizotte to name a couple). Am I misunderstanding their intent when they say this, or is it something you disagree with in their throw? I know you've studied their form extensively so I am curious to hear your answer. Appreciate the videos as well, they've been helpful to me!

    I am so glad I saw your video. At 65 and relatively new to the game I was throwing off the front foot and I could feel the twisting my knee was taking with all my weight on it. You saved me from an ACL that was surely right around the corner if I have kept that up. Thank you for teaching. What a gift you are!!

    been watching your vids for quite some time. Was doing some fieldwork the other day. Threw 40 for control and 40 for distance. My stock throw is 350-380. If i pump it i can get up to 410-420 but usually its wild. I thought i was planting and coiling but i guess i havent been. After about the 30th distance shot I accidently got better form for 1 shot. I felt the difference. When i planted this time I could feel the top of my plant leg actually push back as my back leg was pushing forward and i didnt even try to whip my hips. I just pivoted really fast and I could feel the coil/whip. The disc sounded loud af as it ripped out. Not to embellish, it went all of 450 but i want to say 460 or so. I practice in a football field so i have a good idea of the distance. Oh, im 47 and still improving

      he calls it the double move. its his big thing along with the back leg. He primarily built his form around paul mcbeth who kinda does it but with a fist and lower in the abdomen area.

    Now.. if he's basing all of his technique off of Paul McBeth, does anyone one else find it a little odd that he starts his coil with his off arm pre tucked in? I know he calls it the move..but every great thrower allows their trailing arm to rotate in harmony with the "reach back" then begin the throw by thrusting the back arm across the body to the plant point, arm goes down and then slightly back when going thru the hit.. adding to the every action needs an equal and opposite reaction phase of the throw. Ezra says this also. You can't push forward unless you can push back somehow.. I'm not knocking anything.. but.. I bet you, slingshot, could hit 500 more often if you allowed your trailing arm to help generate momentum before you pull thru and help propel the entire movement forward.. just an observation.. no offense intended..

    This is me! It’s definitely a stretch not a flex! I’ve got plenty of work to do, but am finally on the right track. I don’t know that I would have ever felt that stretch without having visited Coach T in the flesh. It was the most amazing experience. Slings Shots for everyone!     Best part in the video is DEFINITELY the exchanges around 3:15 to 3:30 where Star_Blade twists a bit first, THEN puts the weight over his left leg... while coach first EXAGGERATES the motion and then does something that just looks TOTALLY different, pushing what looks like PRESSURE INTO the back leg, but not necessarily weight ONTO the leg. Gonna hafta play with that!

    Its your fascia thats stretching and generating your power more then the muscles, even though they work hand in hand. Look up Fascia spiral line and you can see an image of the tension line and how it relates to DG.

    as a fairly new disc golfer ( June 2022 ) I have watched so many videos trying to figure out what the "right way" is to do things when it comes to tee shots, putting, etc...etc...I am 61 years old, I can only throw about 240 feet or so. My longest from a stand still position out in the local city park was 255. I have an issue with an injury I suffered more than 10 years ago when I was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the street, so I have to be careful when i throw with 100% power. I just had someone film me with their cell phone out on the local soccer field for the first time. It's very confusing, I can throw pretty straight, and can hit tunnel shots that other people in tournaments have great trouble with. I can see that proper form is the key to getting great distance. I have to go and try this this weekend and see if i can mimic what you are doing

    I can’t sleep I’m so excited to work on my form. I’ve always had poor form, and would throw 300-320 feet. But recently, for about a week I started throwing 380 feet, But it went away.

    I'm starting to think about my head position while throwing. I used to ride BMX and one of key components was to point your head where you want your body to go. Your body naturally want to follow your head position so if your eyes are on the target as much as possible, your body will rotate in that direction. Easier said than done but I have noticed an improvement with my follow through and disc control.

    So everybody is always like get it deep in the palm, but I've just been messing with my grip and that limits the wrist action. Granted it makes it very easy to get the nose angle right, but it makes it hard to snap. Same with a fan grip. I simply went from middle finger on the rim to index finger on the rim for forehand last year and went from zero to very good with control and distance just because I can hinge my wrist one way and not the other. I have been trying to figure out how to get over 300 feet forever and it's not a power problem. I train for strength and explosiveness and if I hit first available there's a loud bang and a cloud of pine bark dust. It disc goes where it's going fast, but not far. I think it's a lack of spin problem. This has me confident enough to start working on what I've been staring at holding the disc and moving my hand around with different grips even though it's "wrong."

      You Definitely want to start throwing after four contact but you probably don't need to tendon/ muscle bounce your shoulder by extending back as you throw like the "double move" asks for. I don't think you'd lose much by just having the arm extended and starting the throw after four contact. Sure it's not as good but a lot of other things can probably get you distance without injury risk.

    This is the exact grip I use. I found it using a radar gun and later a TechDisc. Most people grip with their "fist." I call this gripping with your fingers. It keeps your wrist loose and adds an inch or so to your "whip" length. I get 2-3 more mph with this grip.
