    The only right way is to recover and weigh in the factory charge.

    Thank you. This is a very educational video that you posted. I have a similar system installed over a 10 years ago. I was going crazy to locate 4 (error) LEDs residing on the main board inside Fujitsu Condenser unit which could be spotted only if looking inside the unit at certain angle. One of mine (indoor) evaperator units I have a trouble with stopped working properly. When It starts on heat, set point 88F, fan speed set to high. It only outputs room temp. at very low fan speed. Two other indoor units of the same condenser unit are working fine. The error code LED 1 is Flashing ones. I have a 4 Zones condenser unit. Zone A is not connected, there for LED 1 is showing comm. failure. The unit I have a problem with is on zone C. Noting was changed from the moment my system was installed. Have you ever run into a similar problem with a Fujitsu split system? What do you recommend? Thank you in advance.

      It appears that the EEV / LEV ( located in the outdoor unit) for the particular zone is bad , this I have experienced before!

    • @D2DNYAC
      @D2DNYAC  Před rokem +1

      I solved this by moving the connecting pipes/ refrigerant lines and wires to the unused zone and it worked fine.. you can also swap around the eev/lev coils however if it's not the coils that's bad then it still won't work!

    All those lines should be insulated... its already metered refrigerant as it leaves the outdoor conenser

  • @rogerf3622
    @rogerf3622 Před 2 lety +4

    Wow all the insulation is gone on the refrigerant lines.

    If you are changing in the winter do you want it on heat mode on max so the inverting working at full load?

    My suction temperature is 48F. Suction pressure is 94PSI. 70 outside. Supply 46.6F. Return 67.6F. Delta T 21F. Unit was low. I added 2.65 lb of 410. But low side would not go to 120psi. Mini split in a full blast. Any ideas? Thank you!

    • @D2DNYAC
      @D2DNYAC  Před rokem +1

      Most likely because of low load conditions, your return air is 67.6F so the EEV or LEV is closing down ! I wouldn’t add anymore refrigerant! What was your temperature set point?

    • @kastenusa
      @kastenusa Před rokem

      @@D2DNYAC I just turn it on AC on max and Fan on high speed. Couldn’t find test mode on this mini split. I feel like I over charge it. Total superheat is 20F. Target by conditions is 27F. If it’s -+2 degrees charge is correct. In my case total > then target by 7. I think it’s over charge.

    • @D2DNYAC
      @D2DNYAC  Před 7 měsíci

      I don’t know the answer to that, however I would assume there’s some form of error, then i would power cycle see what happens, try get a hold of the manuals that will tell you

  • @jsaaal123
    @jsaaal123 Před 2 lety +5

    Why wouldn’t you do it the right way by removing the refrigerant and following the correct process. Cmon charge the customer accordingly and do right by the customer .

    Good but where is your charge scale if the system is lower on gas .less than full charge recover all the refrigerant and charge the system according to factory charge

    • @D2DNYAC
      @D2DNYAC  Před 2 lety

      Indeed however if you know the numbers you can come very close to a proper charge without that means

    next guy on the roof. he pulls the gas out and weighs it. wow, finds the unit with an extra 5 lbs of gas in it. now, he reads the factory charge and refills the unit. he sells the owner some 410a and pays for his time. money well spent here...

    Man you don't use the same charging techniques on Fujitsu Mini Splits that you would on standard Ducted systems .... the tech info from Fujitsu tech support will tell you that their system has low pressures in the line set that is usually (from memory) 120 psi where a standard ducted system has extremely high pressures

      @@D2DNYAC Hi, The Units I bought in three different locations went south on me. Exorbitant pricing for repairs and a nonsensical troubleshooting system that is ridiculous and non user friendly. I would never buy another Fujitsu product again. I should have used due diligence and seen ahead of time the countless bad reviews and experiences other customers have had. Shame on me for not checking first I guess.
