Great Skills You've Gave Us for some of us at HVAC Techs. Thank you so much.
Glad you're here my friend thank you
Great video I am sponsored by Daikin and I love their equipment I have all the testing equipment they offer to check inverter frequency fan operation communication tests for indoor and outdoor not a lot of techs truly understand these units or even the principals of SPWM I think that more people like you should be teaching how these units work because VFD equipment is the wave of the future as far as efficiency is concerned never stop man you’re great
Wow Robert thank you so much I'm so glad that you watched this video
that is so cool that you have the tools and understand how to work on these systems because you are right there are not a lot of technicians or contractors who understand or can work on them.
Definitely an informative lesson on inverter split units... wonderful.
I work on a lot of these units. Mainly Mitsubishi and it’s awesome to have somebody who really knows everything about this equipment. I feel way more comfortable testing these sensors while doing service calls. Love what you do. Keep ‘‘em coming
Awesome man thank you so much hope you have a blessed day
The best teacher ever! All the best from Albania 🇦🇱

Absolutely great video. I have done very little with mini splits but I have a feeling I will be in the future.
You can do it! Thanks for watching my friend.
You are the best so far. Well done. I am putting in a used DAIKIN I traded for some work. It is a nice unit, my MO is to learn everything there is about my subject, having fun with it. Keep up the good work.
Just a tech trying to learn from Los Angeles. Stumbled upon your videos and they are very helpful . You explain very thoroughly . Always looking forward to your content. Thank you

Outstanding information. You are truly one of the technicians like myself who are passionate about HVAC and obviously enjoy what you do. I would appreciate any future info on troubleshooting mini splits including the high efficiency ducted systems. Also maybe some general symptoms that a Mini split is overcharged either the sound that the compressor is making. I have been doing all types of HVAC/R work for over 20 years with a background in electronics and seriously, I am impressed with your videos so definitely keep it up.
That's Fantastic Brian Thank You I truly appreciate you taking the time to watch
I do love what I do
Thanks for this Taddy.
You're welcome brother larry
I'm working in south Florida.. excellent video and break down of equipment.. you are exactly right when it comes to installation ..90 percent are installed wrong.. that's what I find on service calls.. tech's need to spend some time on start ups..
I agree Keith if text spent more time on startup than they could find the problems and fix them early instead of the problems creating more problems down the road
Are you near Naples? Can I schedule a troubleshoot and cleaning?
Thanks brother, this really helps me specially being a new tech in the field. Again appreciate your content.

🔥great info.Thank you

Around 26:30 you mention water running down a wall ... caused by a drain issue. This issue can be horrendous if the installer of a multi-head system decided to link two drain pipes together before the pipes reach the outside of the building. If you blow on the outside pipe, the non-clogged drain will spew liquid and gunk all over the customers room. If you suck on the outside pipe, you might collect the gunk and water from the good head unit, but the clogged one will remain clogged. Do not allow an installer to link the two drain systems before the pipes get to the outside. You should have one drain pipe for each indoor air handler.
God bless you man this is amazing. Thank you!

Great video on stressing the importance of a proper installation. There are far too many You Tube videos that fail to stress how important it is to have proper flares on the tubing, doing a proper evacuation using a micron gauge and hopefully pulling the line set down to around 200 microns, using a good sealant like Nylog on the flare faces, pressure testing with nitogen to at least 350 to 400 psi and doing a leak test, and finally, using a torque wrench to torque the nuts to factory specs. I'd bet that many of the bad compressors you've encountered were failing due to the corrosive refrigerant caused by a poor evacuation that left moisture in the system, which caused the acidic condition. Some folks just have to learn the hard way.
Thanks for your videos! I joined. I tried Samsung last year and had a bunch of issues. Anyways, keep up the great content!

I joined. I'm a handy guy looking to figure out problems for my clubs two units. Codes on two.
Thank you for this video. I have a question. You have repeated several times that you pressurize the mini split systems with 500 Lbs./PSI of nitrogen. Does that not compromise the evap coil as most mini split evap coils are rated for 340-350 Lbs/psi?
I've never heard of a system being pressurized with nitrogen to such a high level.
Apart from that I found your video very informative. Thank you
Great video dude 👍
Thank you

Great video. Love your tech videos. i'm dealing with dvms, dvm chiller, dvm eco, ehs and not split/fjm of samsung.
Love the samsung products. i will be installing system at my home (dvm eco and 4-5 indoors)
Thanks Danny I am glad you watched I love the DVM chillers.
That's cool that you are installing one in your home
I wish manufacturers would make this things easier to access parts
Me too
Great breakdown but I will stand by my view that most mini splits are way more complicated than they need to be as far as communicating and all that stuff. Just make it standard 24 v like a normal split system because in the end that's all a mini split is just smaller.
Great video it made me join your page

Outstanding tutorial. I am an Electrician & I installed 3 Minis at my home in Missouri. A 12,000BTU Aux is displaying P6 in heat mode & the indoor air handler blower is not operating. I will be following your suggestions & attempt the repair.
I think that’s a low refrigerant code

Hey tad great video’s appreciate the info always great content!!! Question: is it ok to leave a loop in my mini split line set
Yes, it is okay to leave a loop in the line sets
Especially if the line sets are less than ten foot
@@TaddyDigest awesome man I think I’m gonna sign up for your program to help with diagnosis. I install traidens now they are pretty good
@@TaddyDigest reason I asked about the coil up with extra line set is another tech told me I would cause a oil trap doing so but I’ve always done them that way
Half the battle are parts identification, location, function and likely faults and its all here,,great.

Great video. Tad, where do you get these schematics and flo-charts for different brands
from the tech support teams
Love the vid! My mini split fan turns but doesn't blow cold air. No leaks of refrigerant and seems to have proper charge. No error codes. Could it be a faulty EEV?
So after watching this video and your video on changing the coil on the indoor unit, and I’m curious how much of this info in interchangeable with a Haier unit??
Awesopme video thankl you! Is there a troubleshooting reference guide for midea/bryant/carrier?
I am not sure but I will find out And I will let you know

Nice video! I will follow you...
Just some small remarks: L/N to F1/F2 on ODU is not protected, it will cause PCB damage, between ODU and IDU it is protected (as far as I know).
The F1/F2 is NOT polarity sensitive (as far as I know). I am a service tech in EU, please check via Samsung HVAC.
Compressor windings to earth (chassis) resistance must be checked with using an insulation tester (400-500V conductivity test).
:)
Awesome Thank YOU for Your knowledge
