This is real rap man, keep diving in the 90's
@PDG I agree, I really enjoy doing these old school hip hop reactions. I’ll keep them coming fam
amen
We got into prodigy the same way!!!! Crazy fam we both youngins with old souls. Keep the Mobb deep reactions coming. Hardest duo from the 90’s
That's actually crazy fam! I like the way you put it, youngins with old souls. Definitely will do, if you have any suggestions to songs I should react from them feel free to let me know. I'm trying to hear more from them no doubt. Thank you for watching!
PRSPR no doubt brother, we in this shit together 💪🏻 💯but bet fam! Got you with some shit I know you’ll fuck with!
You can start with the album that made them blow up, “the infamous” came out in 95 ,which that song you just reacted to is in. Do Q.U hectic next. I’ll just comment the next one if you do that video, so I don’t make a whole big list bro, but if anything after that one just keep going through the album honestly, so you can finish it as a whole! All gems. Then I’ll put you on with the next album they did 👌🏻
I appreciate that fam! 💯 Bet I will do that song next. And I like that idea of going through the album one by one until I finish the album as a whole, thanks man! 🙏🏾
PRSPR hell yeah fam, I’ll be tuned in for that.
But yeah bro, going through the albums in order, in my opinion, is better cause you see their growth better and understand them better. But you should get through “the infamous” first and after that one is an album called “Hell on Earth”, came out in 1996. which I already seen you did a song from there also titled “Hell on Earth (front lines)”
You're right men, these "rappers" pretent to be a gangsters but theyre not .. grettings from Dominican Republic btw
What’s so funny is seeing the naive people believing it 😂😂😂 That’s dope fam, greetings man 💯
Lol how you think they weren’t, if you from NY you know P gave it up and held that iron
Lots of them but Mobb deep were for real. Ask anyone from Queens. Some people took rap seriously, no matter how bad that sounds
Can't hate on the young Generation for doing their own thing. We did the same.
Greetings from Germany
That’s true, you’re very open minded. Thank you for showing support from Germany, means a lot fam
Hey Grüße ebenfalls aus Deutschland ✌🏼
@@mynona9020 Servus✌
I dig it when Youngbloods recognize when and where the shit started. Back in the early 90s it was all about that grungy [east coast] Queensbridge style! Yeah I know, G Funk ruled the 90s but if you were loyal to East Coast, this is what you were rockin’!! Word is bond!! B-Boy for life ✊🏽👊🏽
This whole album jams without skipping a song
Respect to you for reacting to these Mobb Deep videos. When music made sense and had a purpose to it.
Thank you very much fam! More Mobb Deep reactions to come, they are my favorite duo to react to alongside Dead Prez and Outkast. These rappers nowadays are ruining the artform, it's a damn shame
@@PRSPR dead prez and outkast Respect famz..I just subscribed to you brother and although I'm commenting a year past watching your insight coming from a clued up youngun well impressed.. MD came in hard that so many other artists sampled there shit so many times.. I fuck wid MD and I fuck wid you star.. As I said I'm new to your channel but have you reacted to any Nas shit him and jay z beefed hard but if you've reacted already I apologize BRO if not Nas illmatic then stillmatic albums but Ether is another classic where in the album he uses double even triple metaphors and he destroys jay z.. I'm hoping you have reacted already so I can go watch if not there's a suggestion right there. Also Outkast are big time players in my book Andre 3000 and Big boi-Bigin tha Game..
I just recently realized that the line “I’m fallen and I can’t turn back” was also used in immortal techniques dancing with the devil.
His first HNIC album was so good. It was Prodigy at the height of his career
I totally agree with you on your comment. This used to be real, not anymore. Used to be scared walking around New York at that time being mad young 😄; not these days for sure. The streets ain't the same. Try these two albums: Hell on earth and Murda Muzik. Songs like: Drop a gem on them, G.O.D part ii, Nighttime vultures, Get dealt with, hell on earth, still shining, More Trife Life, Give it up fast, Murda Muzik, Where ya from, quiet storm.
Times definitely have changed lol. I’ll definitely will do, thank you for the request. I’ll probably start with Quiet Storm because I heard that was a big hit back then
@@PRSPR They got 2 Quiet Storms btw. The original and remix with Lil Kim. But it might be hard to decipher because both are titled Quiet Storm. 🤔 Not sure why he didn't title it Quiet Storm remix. Probably cause the remix got Hella burn on the radio and shit back then...and ppl forgot all about the original. Lol. 1st was still good...but Lil Kim just put her sauce on it and he rapped different verses. I know Prodigy was solo on the original too. I think it was all of them on the remix version
I miss these times in hiphop. I wasnt only a kid so missed it all but love the whole hiphop story, especially during these times and what it must have been like living in New York during this time with the artists they had coming out. I know some fans hate on the newer rappers, but there are still plent of rappers who respect the culture, you just have to dig a little deeper to find them.
I feel what you mean fam. Yea I definitely agree with you, there are so many dope spitters who respect the culture putting out heat it’s just sad that they’re not as big as they should be because people don’t want to do any digging
Ah bro new sub just on the strength of the respect you give mobb deep..shit was different when I was growing up mobb deep spoke for everyone growing up in the horrors....shits different now..they spoke about the situations that we found our self in before phone videos and clout was a thing
Thank you for subbing fam, I really appreciate it! That’s really dope, that makes the song even more iconic because they were speaking for everyone growing up in the trenches
P is a goat. R.i.p
That’s facts fam, he’s one of my favorite rappers 💯
Queens!
Dilated Peoples, "Worst Comes To Worst"
Mos Def, "Mathmatics"
Binary Star, "Honest Expression"
Black Star, "Respiration" & "Thieves In The Night"
Damn you just watched all my old school reactions, I really appreciate it fam. I got ya with those requests 💯
@@PRSPR 💯 G!
Mos Def, "New World Water" will blow your mind. It's amazing how far ahead of the game he was.
Havoc tried to stay in the projects but he became too famous lol 😂
That’s very understandable lol
The deaths of BiG, Big L, Pun, Freaky Tah (Lost Boyz), really hurt the NY rap scene in a major way. Younger cats started to become followers and adapted to the mainstream sound which started to switch to the south.
Hip hop royalty!!!🔥🔥🔥💪
No doubt 🔥🔥🔥
Wow young boy said it perfectly... "Parody Rap". F'n brilliant bro. 💯
Thank you bro!
Respect bro
I grew up listening to this on my walkman. The whole album is fire.
Thank you bro! 💯 I’m sure it brings up memories
Next Up Special Ed 'I Got It Made'
no old school ,golden era
That's facts!
Keep doin 90s hip hop, also look at some uk shit, luv from uk
Definitely will do, I’ll start doing some UK rap as well. Thank you for showing support all the way from the UK, means a lot!
Nas and Puffy in the video
I noticed Nas but I didn’t notice Puffy until someone mentioned it to me lol
Lord forgive me the Hennesey got me not knowin how to act I'm fallin and I can't turn back Prodigy one of the best!!!
He’s cold af, I can’t wait to check out more of their music
Hey i think it started wen BET went from its original owners
nas- it ain’t hard to tell
I got ya fam 💯
Thats drill music’s foundation right here
Drop a Gem on Em, Temperature's Rising, honestly just Check Out the Infamous Album, Hell on Earth and Murda Muzik Albums 2-4...
Got ya fam, I’ve added them to my list of songs to react to
I live in Germany and when I was kid ,some of the teenagers had bulletproof or stabproof vests. Some of them were criminals but I think that hip-hop had a big influence.
You’re saying hip hop had an influence on making people criminals? I honestly feel that nobody can make you do things except you, so putting the blame on a genre of music is a way to avoid consequences for your action. I’m speaking in general that statement is directed towards you
@@PRSPR no, I said when I was a kid people would wear bulletproof vests, and I think that hip-hop had a big influence on that. I love hip-hop I would never say something like that.
Ohhh my apologies I misinterpreted what you said, yea that makes sense you’re right about that
@@PRSPR bro it's all love , great reaction as always ✌️ from Germany
Thank you bro, I really appreciate the luv! 💯🙏🏾🖤
Damn hearing all these classics takes me back to that time in NYC.
Second guy (Havoc) is also the producer
Damn Havoc produced this song, I had no idea he produced songs as well. That’s crazy because the beat is iconic af too
Fire
Facts
React to Brotha Lynch Hung - Locc 2 tha Brain
Nobody was touchin proidgy ❤
Havoc made the beat and he made alot of money and left the hood . 😜
Prodigy was beast both was very tight with the flows.. Rest in peace Prodigy
Idk if you noticed but that was puffy and nas at the end
I noticed Nas but I didn’t notice puffy
this beat sends chills down my spine
Facts 🔥🔥🔥
I dont listen to them wack rappers now.its a disgrace to rap music.mobb deep is legendary.im from new york been listening to rap music since 1981.word up son
I feel you on that, I stopped as well after I started listening to all these Legends from the Golden Era. I honestly don’t even consider them rappers since they are so trash. Damn you so lucky being able to experience it in real time as well as being from New York. Thank you for watching fam, I appreciate the support
@@PRSPR no doubt respect playa.you are one of my favorite youtuber.keep doing those old school rap music reaction.do jeru da damaja come clean.ed og and da bulkdogs i got to have it.big l mvp.run dmc whos house.kool g rap road to the riches.nas affirmative action .eric b and rakim i aint no jokegza liquid swords.whodini freaks come out at night.etc.to many old school legendary song word up son
You hit it on head kid....all these older guys bring out younger rappers like Migos (gucci) and many others
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
back when gangsters wanted to be rappers, now rappers want to be gangsters .
What’s funny about that is nowadays rappers aren’t even rappers since most of their music is straight shit
💥MERVEILLEUX💥
Havoc: “…but shit happens for a reason
You find out who's your true peoples
When you're upstate bleedin'
You can't find a shorty to troop your bid with you
Hit with a two to four is difficult…”
Think about that! Only someone who’s been locked up, could write or empathize with those lyrics in its totality…
Havoc studied production techniques under the large professor. Large P was producer for Eric B & Rakim, Nas, Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, Large P also discovered Nas. You should listen to "Live at the Barbecue", it was Nas first time on record.
That’s dope, he learned from a producer that produced for many greats. Makes sense why he’s amazing. Should I do a reaction to it or should I just listen to it on my own?
Definitely react to "live at the BBQ" by Main source aka Large Professor: czcams.com/video/XmCWfJAPwbA/video.html .
It'll blow your mind. It should get a good pull of views. Mention it as Nas first time on record.
Also you should check out, "A Friendly Game of Baseball" (reprise version): czcams.com/video/pFVpeaJLN4A/video.html
Will do! Thank you for giving me background check to each song
Here’s one for you… Review NAS song unauthorized biography of RAKIM. He drops so much history in his lyrics that unless you grew up during that time, half of what he’s talking about won’t make sense. However, you can piece the puzzle together thanks to Google. When he mentions King Sun and the beef with EPMD, I had to step back. Yo! NAS is a genius and the Prince of FLOW! Check it out!!
Ah bro I know I'm a year late to this video...but you will keep old school reel rap alive so ur era can know the shit that paved the way is still 🔥🔥and more real in terms of this was the era of if you say shit in the raps in was backed up..only rapers the do that now are from Jacksonville and the say too much if yi get me
It’s all good fam, I appreciate you checking the video out a year later 💯 I didn’t really think about that way but it’s really dope af. I got you fam, I just been listening to the underground nowadays because the mainstream ain’t it imo
7:15 rap is better now tho tbh. It's close but the thing now is that anyone can put out music and make it big. Like the reason that we didnt see ppl like 6ix9ine in the 90s was bcs they couldnt just go on social media and go viral back then. Real gangsters in rap do exist now and I'd say there are more of them, just that the bad rappers and studio gangsters get the attention and not the real & good ones.
There’s no video to it but react to hell on earth but mobb deep those lyrics
I think I may have actually reacted to that track but the last verse was missing in the music video
Олег.изенков
You mentioned that back in the 80's and 90's rappers were actual gangsters and criminals. While guys today are just pretending. The reason for that is, the only way to be exposed to high level rap cyphers and rap styles to build your skill you had to be hanging on the streets. The only people allowed to hang in the street at 12-15 years old were drug dealers, boosters, pick pocket dudes.
If you were a DJ at 15-19 you would also be on the streets. Parents kept their kids off the streets. The streets equal death. Today you can learn rap or production off CZcams in the safety of your bedroom.
That makes a lot more sense, I never really thought of it like that. I appreciate you putting me on so much game 💯
No doubt. I actually got that insight from the RZA of Wu-Tang. They asked him about Drake. And he said Drake learned to rap listening to records in his bedroom. Wu-Tang members had to venture into the most dangerous NYC projects to battle other rappers.
Back in the 80's, If you walk into Marcy projects and they don't know they'll jump you. The same for Queensbridge. Soundview. The pink houses. Brownsville. Cuz dudes there were selling drugs. So if they didn't know you, you could be undercover police. Think of the shooting in Chicago and Detroit today. It was like that.
Please react to Scarface - Now I Feel Ya music video
I'll add that to the list, I got ya soon fam
Did you peep Nas in the video? And what’s crazy is that I only recently noticed he was in the video like 7 years ago and I’ve been listening to this joint since the 90s 🤦🏻♂️ great song tho but Shook Ones beats this any day of the week
Yea I saw Nas but I didn’t notice Diddy in the video, you’re right Shook Ones is the better track out of the two but I personally like this one a little more
New school rap is just i got bitches i got money old scool rap is hey bro you wana hear my story.
I agree fam, no substance whatsoever in the mainstream with the exception of a few. At least the underground is putting on and staying true to the art
Lost Boyz - Get Up
How are you recording your reaction to make the music sound so loud and good?
I use obs fam, if you’re not familiar with it you could search it on CZcams and there are several videos that explain it better than I could
Thanks
Could you react to “hell on earth “by mobb deep and btw I mean the song not the album. Fire video !
I got ya soon fam, keep suggesting more mobb deep cause I really mess with this song. Thank you for still rocking with me bro, I really appreciate it
Yeah i still be watching your videos it’s only that I have summer vacation rn, so I haven’t had so much time for CZcams. but keep doing your thing bro, your fire!
Thank you man, I really appreciate that! I definitely will keep doing my thing for sure, means a lot you mess with my content 💯🙏🏾
I explain it like this. Back then we made music for drug dealers. Shit today is for drug users
You need to react to fabolous - breathe 💯 then listen to Lloyd Banks version and compare both
NOTORIOUS B.I.G. they'll never be another like him dig in the crates on my guy and you can start with the song KICK IN THE DOOR Notorious was one of the best that EVER done it my dude! Check'em out Imma hit subscribe my dude because I like your realness. I like how you know that if this was back in the days none of this new stuff wouldn't have even made it #Period keep listening to the old school my dude
DOPENESS PERSONIFIED!😎
That’s facts fam, he easily has the best flow ever in Hip Hop. I got ya with that reaction fam! Thank you for subscribing fam, I really appreciate you messin with how authentic I am with my thoughts. Definitely will do fam, I’m really enjoying this journey
@@PRSPR in my phone selection all I got is Notorious B.I.G. Mobb Deep & Tupac and some of The Chronic by Dr Dre
Its not old school or new school..its TRUE SCHOOL...
and TRUE SCHOOL STILL RULES....
Deadass, you couldn't talk it if you wasn't bout it in NYC in the 90's. Back then you could bump into motherfuckers in the neighborhood or just walking down the street. Rappers wasn't living in mansions and shit yet. We had to build that shit from the ground up, and now rappers today are living off that foundation.
started going bad when guys like Rick Ross came on the scene. Former Corrections Officer acting like a Drug Lord. What a fucking joke. Six Nine like you say another joke. New York in the 90s through early 2000s was so far ahead of all of rap from the whole country today it's not even close. Wu Tang, Nas, DMX, Styles, Jadakiss, Masta Ace, Children of the Corn (Big L, Mase, Cam'ron), Fabulous, Nas, Jay Z, Biggie, Mos Def, Mobb Deep, Papoose guys in Jersey like Redman and Joe Buddens who may as well be "New York". This is why people in that era called mainstream artists like 50 cent overrated but even he is far ahead of the modern rappers. Then you got people that nobody ever heard of like Cannibal Ox they weren't Gangsters but check out their "Cold Vein" album from 2001 it's one of the greatest albums ever made or better yet check out One Song "AK-47" from a completely different album of theirs and compare it to sad and pathetic state of Rap music today.
Yea that Rick Ross news really shocked me when that picture surfaced on the internet, I agree anyone that has to put on an act or front is a complete joke. Damn you're right New York was the Mecca of rap! I'll check out that album and song and compare it to rap now. I agree tho, rap now is terrible and it takes zero talent to make songs that these new generation rappers make. To make things worse people actually consider them legends and goats
Hey fam have you heard Dead Presidents by Jay-Z??
Nah I haven’t heard that song, I honestly haven’t heard much of Jay Z. I could do a reaction to that song, it might be a good introduction into Jay Z’s songs
@@PRSPR I'm not gonna lie I'm not a big Jay z fan but that is probably one of the most legendary and iconic songs ever!!! Even if you don't react to it...
It's definitely worth checking out!!! His best song ever in my opinion 💯
I feel that bro, I’ll definitely do a reaction to it if that’s the case. I haven’t listened to much of Jay Z to know if I’m a fan of him or not, a lot of people say he’s the best ever tho.
@@PRSPR just remember when you listen to it who recommended..lol😂😂 it dropped in 1996 bro... I heard it for the first time when I was probably 12 years old...and 🤯🤯 it literally blew my mind 💯💙
Will do bro 😂 I can’t wait to here it, it’s going to be absolute fire 💯
Let's just get it straight LA Cats... they claimed to be gangsters....... over here in the NYC we were just grimey Street kids..... big diffrence.....
Thanks for pointing that out, I was just commenting on how real niggas were back then as opposed to now
Internet changed everything my dude. Its all about views, and them fakes will keep doing what they do if people keep watching their stupid shit. But go underground, just how the internet ruined the scene it also provides a platform for alot of other artists who arent "mainstream"
You’re right about that fam. There are so many underrated rappers that I listen to on the daily but it kind of makes me mad that they don’t get the recognition they deserve, I guess that’s the price that comes with being real and actually having skill and talent
Imma old skool hip hop head yo! I'm about to give you a jewel. This was a simi dis track to 2Pac. Listen to the undertones in the hook. It says "you still living" in the first part. Then it say "thug life you still living nigga". In 90's hip hop, always listen for the jux..
Damn that shit went over my head, I knew they had beef so those lines definitely make sense. Thank you for pointing that out fam
You didn't recognize Nas or Diddy
I recognized Nas but I didn’t mention it because I have a lot of thoughts running so I forgot to point that out. I didn’t recognize Diddy tho
@@PRSPR he had on the tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt dancing lol

It's funny how a lot of young heads nowadays are not appreciating their modern hip-hop music, but they're envious of old school hip hop... That's just a shame
Just tells you the state of Hip Hop nowadays, there are a few artists putting out good music but they never get the recognition they deserve
