A federal and customary law should mandate strangers entering rural communities to register their presence with local chiefs. They should also register their phone numbers and the reason they are in that community. Kidnappers don't target their community or even state of origin.

Police is definitely not doing enough, there is a lot lacuna , that our security apparatus need to cover. Am wondering how a group of Ibo boys/men , will operate a kidnapping base in a Yoruba community(Ijebu Igbo) farmland, these men could not have operated in a vacuum, there certainly were indigenes of this community involved, and they are the kingpins behind it all

    • @wale4862

No matter how local a non indigene becomes in my village, the act of brazenly, carrying out a crime as grievous as hiding a kidnapped victim on our farmland cannot be possible without the active and passive connivance of recognised and native born indigenes, who are land owners, titled and respected persons , in the community. Like I said its the security operatives that need to do their due diligent investigation , to identify the sponsors, or backers, track them down. The average Eboyin young man who sets out to find farming work to do in most communities is a hard working person, looking for a way of survival, they soon return with a wife and start and settle their family without any issues. yes there will be some bad eggs, but only with active and passive sponsorship of a recognised indigenous local will they thrive with crimes as grievous as armed robbery and kidnapping.

Maybe u ask the kabiyesi. It's not Igbo as in in Igbo people, it's Igbo which means forest. Every new settlement is known to be a forest when settlers get there, so I guess that's how they derived the name, but the king will know better.
