- It's been 2 months since I created this planted aquarium.
I decided to have a change of pace for this video. I added my maintenance routine in this video as well

wow
Your tank will be like that soon!
The 2-month update is looking good my friend I see that you took the microsorium land Jack out I'm having problem with mine growing also
Yeah, It must be because the H pinnatifida shaded it. I replaced the trident fern with anubias mimina variegated. Since it can handle lower lights
Whaaat that's incredible! Do you use CO2?
Yup!! Initially I was using a DIY setup and then upgraded to a pressurized setup using a co2 fire extinguisher and an inline diffuser!!! The upgrade was definitely worth it!
hi, how much intensity you set for the tank? should i go high intensity low photoperiod hours, low-medium intensity high photoperiod hours? please share regarding this lighting topic. thanks in adv.
Ok, this can vary from tank to tank. My old setting was R90% G60% B60% 10Hours light period with 1 hour ramp up and down.CO2 inline 4bps My plants grew so thick that my old dosing method became insufficient and my water flow became impeded thus the algae growth.
I've lowered it down to R60% G40% B50% at 9hours total light period with 30 minutes ramp up/down. Co2 inline 4bps. Currently dosing ferts via EI method as discussed here ( czcams.com/video/WwN-lcWA_c0/video.html )
And added an eheim skimmer 350 to add water flow. Once my plants recover this will allow me to slowly go back to my old setting.
So, as you can see it varies per tank and scenario. there is no "ONE" miracle setting, you really have to know your tank, ( how you dose your ferts, CO2, water flow and dynamics etc )
hehe hope this helps!!!! if you want you can send me a picture of your tank in my IG account. Currently busy with work IRL but ill be available in a day or two to help you out
it really depends on your setup, Id suggest to setup your light in the medium intensity range initally for 6 hours. See how your plants will react and this will help control the initial algae/diatom bloom (to be honest i didnt get any in mine).
wait until day 21 then you can increase the light period to 8 hours. Intensity depends on how your plants and aquarium react to your initial setting, how much you are dosing with ferts and if you have CO2 setup.
@@AquaristForFun OMG! U are so helpful! Thanks for the sharing!
Dami nung pinatifida sir haha
Oo bilis dumami niyan puro sideshoots, actually isang cup lang ng invitro yan tapos nagkaroon pa ng melting sa initial phase.
