I assumed in kayfabe the heels go up to the lighting guys and threaten and intimidate them into doing it.
I always hoped one day to see the lights go out on a guy in the ring, but when they came back on, he’s still standing, while the guy who tried to jump him is completely laid out.

The best use of the lights out thing working with me was when Sammy Calihan did it when he played a hacker gimmick in NXT. During his debut, he beat down Kalisto and then pulled out a tablet, motioned to pushing something on the touch screen, and the lights went out. So it wasn't super powers, he implied that he hacked into the building's electrical system and not can control the lights with his tablet/phone. THAT made sense especially with the hacker gimmick he was doing for a very short time in NXT.
Trios champions ? Seriously? Nope.

In ROH it was Julius Smokes flipping the light switch for Homicide. So maybe Julius Smokes is making rounds, hitting light switches or messing with lighting rigs, where applicable
This was the best thing the elite has ever done they should do this everytime because this is the only way they'll be entertaining but we all know that the Lights Out Trope is being overdone in Wrestling that's shitty booking.

The AEW fans are saying that Punk is pulling the strings to make The Elite go to WWE and kill the promotion,because the guys of the House of Black are friends of CM Punk.
Now that Malakai,Brody and Matthews are the new Champs (and i liked How they killed The Elite on the match), the geeks of the AEW fanbase will do whatever they can to blame CM Punk for the Elite departure if this guys really want to go(they even blamed him for the booking of the shows😂😂😂😂😂).

I don't understand why Brian questions the lights off gimmick. Did he forget this is entertainment? While it's widely overused in AEW. It has its place. For instance, when Taker did it to appear in the ring " out of nowhere."

What a build for a Trios Titles, the House of Bland does a couple lights out segments, beat up the Meltzer Circle Jerk Gymnastic team, and somehow after all of this, actually wins the title at the PPV. They are not the Undertaker they don't have the power or prestige to set up a match without saying anything. Of course who does the House of Bland defend the titles against, and what are the Elite doing. Did the drop the titles because FTR is back?
Lights out/controlling the lights isn't that bad if someone with a supernatural gimmick is doing it. I can suspend disbelief in those cases because it has been established as one of the "powers" supernatural gimmicks have.

I like Maliki and his gang, glad they got the belts. However I Agree that every second of professional wrestling, no matter how much fans know it’s fake, should be designed as though it was not. That is the art. And if you can convince anyone that it is not scripted then you are a master. People still talk about Hogan and Andre or Brett Heart and Michaels. Don’t care what was real. The myth is all. That is art. Keep them guessing. Give them top notch athleticism. I mean, if the fans knew it was worked and you gave them standard boxing, sure they would tune out. Wrestling gives moves nobody would do in boxing or MMA. And now they know it’s all worked. But don’t talk about how it’s worked. I know about blue screens and special effects, but I don’t expect to be surprised by Ant Man. Keep me guessing. Don’t talk about how your friends out side the angle in dirt sheets, if somebody ducks up their spot, take advantage, don’t stand around like dumb ass. And stop fucking talking. Keep up the goddamn kayfabe.
This episode was amateur hour for the production team. Can’t just get a shot of the Titantron of Joe’s theme while the Elite limped away for the live audience?
Am I the only one thinking the elite dropped the trios titles, just so the bucks can go after FTR (when FTR eventually gets the AEW tag titles)?
The only difference in aew and nwa is that tony has a billion dollars to play with. Otherwise nwa is probably better bc they they put out as a good a product on way less of a budget. And i rarely watch nea bc they can be cartoonish too. How the fk can a man watch impact for free. Maybe that is better
