Two things about this episode:
One, I like how Stolas took a seat while telling Blitzø that he's never looked down on him. It's a nice little visual indicator that Stolas is literally trying to level with Blitzø, but of course Blitzø refuses to acknowledge that because of his self-hatred and fear of intimacy.
Two, my dumb ass has just realized why Verosika is so bitter about Blitzø. She's a succubus, a female sex demon. Lust and seduction are the name of the game for her, so she's likely never settled down with just one partner until Blitzø. And yet she fell in love with this scrappy, vulgar imp...only for him to unceremoniously dump her after she tells him she loves him. No wonder she hates him so much. I'd imagine fear of heartbreak is the reason "Only little bitches strum the strings in their hearts" is a phrase at Ozzie's, too. When dealing with physical intimacy, getting too attached can lead to a lot of anguish. Hell, knowing Verosika is a succubus is probably why Blitzø started dating her in the first place. He probably thought "Any connection I have with her will be only physical, so there's nothing to fear with commitment!" Only after the relationship gets serious does he go on his heart-breaking streak, hoping to avoid getting too close to anyone.

I just realized how kind and sweet verosika is. Before this episode, i thought verosika was some snobby rich popstar who only cared about herself. Im glad Vivzipop showed us the other true side of verosika. I never realized how heartbroken she was when Blitzø broke up with her. It was also really kind of her to cheer up Stolas from his heartbreak. ❤

Looking back, one interesting thing to note is that Verosika isn't mean to anyone but Blitzo specifically throughout all of her appearances. Now it's clear why, and a lot more noticeable.

The fact that Verosika is truly a kind and empathetic succubus of a person truly signifies her improved characterization over the first season

Agreed. After Ozzy's it became pretty clear she felt jilted and was very much having trouble being over it.
Verosika is actually cooler now we see her kindness and host-like behavior.

I now see her in such a different way. Hell is such a broken place and the duality of Verosika really shows that well in my opinion. It's nice to see the other side of her and that can really be applied to anyone. Don't always judge people by the front they give. You never know what brought them to that place or what they do on the side when no one is watching.
Verosika being so friendly with Stolas was actually really wholesome to me 😭😭

This is not a great example of golden age animation. Delicious Dungeon shits all over Vivzie in every possible category. Wanna talk about golden age animation and characterization? That'd be in a show about some haha adventurers eating lunch.
It moved my heart seeing blitz look around at all, his exes seeing their pain and feeling guilt from realizing he’s the one who caused their pain. It really shows that blitz. Is improving his character bit by bit. I can’t wait to see how he is at the end of the show.

I actually didn’t catch that the demon coming out of the shower was Mrs. Mayberry at first. I mean, we only briefly see her demon form in the first episode and she’s sopping wet, without her glasses and only wearing a towel. It does explain why Blitz and her are both grinning about it so smugly though.

It’s cute how Stolas blushes when Verosika gives him a kiss on the cheek. Not in a “let the ship sail” kind of way, it’s just sweet that a friendly greeting is enough to get him flustered because it’s not something he’s used to.
And I like seeing Verosika being this warm and welcoming person when she’s not performing or dealing with Blitz. It’s easy to portray “the big ex” of a story’s protagonist solely as the spiteful one who needs to let it go and move on while they try to ruin any relationship the protagonist might get into. Rather, she’s shown to be over the relationship but not over how bad it _ended,_ so she waits for the other people he’s still hurting with a drink and a hug.

Also I like that despite being a succubus that you expect her to be the “bad” one in a relationship, like cheating or not taking relationships seriously, but it seems like as a succubus she’s in tune with other people, she’s warm and welcoming and does know a lot about love and I LOVE THAT! Reminds me of how you expect gluttony to not care just like greed, but instead gluttony encourages you to indulge in your desires to have *FUN!* because that’s the point of gluttony, to enjoy yourself. But immediately puts a stop to it if your like Blitzo who isn’t being a glutton to enjoy himself but to drink his sorrows away

I just realized a cool lil detail about Stolas' flames during his song. They emerge from his heart, and when he transforms back, the flames become a bunch of little hearts that break as they fade.
Do I know exactly what this means? No. But it probably has something to do with how much he loved Blitz. Like how people say their heart burns for someone.
The fact Verosika is the only person who realizes that blitz also hates himself, is just so heart warming even though their exes, you can still tell Verosika still cares a little bit

I love how Verosika is genuinely portrayed as a character with actual feelings, and acts on them. And not with bitter violence, but with advice.

Verosica destroyed him with this line before explaining how it felt to be heartbroken.
So also I was expecting blitz to say "I learned it from a prince" if verosica ever judged that how blitz suddenly be able to feel sorry.
But it didn't happen since verosica believed himls sincererity without any second verification from him
But stolas clearly made his point extremely straightforward by explaining that people need to care to hate someone when blitz said that he doesn't believe that anyone can care about him
I love how this episode actually showed Verosika as a character, and not just one of Blitz’s exs. She is such an interesting character who gave advice to Blitz and realized that he hurts people because he himself is hurting. I hope she doesn’t fully forgive Blitz, as she has every right to hate him, but sees him as more than just Blitzo the bitch who hurt so many people

The best part of this is… blitz is never out of place at the party. It’s for everyone that hates him. And even when screaming from the top of his lungs. No one looks at him as a monster or demon among demons. He’s just broken. Fitting in with all the other broken people at this gathering. It’s poetic.
This actually made me tear up a bit. The fact that blitzø knows he fucked up but he doesnt know how to react. It also hurt me how he looked so sad when Stolas was with the other guy 😭

Huh. Somehow I never put it together that Stolas didn't know that Striker had been hired to assassinate him at the harvest moon festival.
Neither did I. I thought it was one of those things that never gets explained or a plot hole, but it was filled today.
If he had known then he could have been more prepared and not have come as close to death as he did.

That was one of the first things I noticed and it was very nice to see that. It also had me re-watching parts and has me now thinking if Verosika still has some feelings towards Blitz even after being broke up. Reasons for this would be how she knew him and Stolas broke up, as well as how she knew Blitz was doing the apology tour before even speaking to him, sure she could have heard it from one of Blitz's exes but Stolas said it himself they're all drunk. Plus if she overheard them talking, why was she eavesdropping on them in the fist place? There's a lot of little details that when spotted makes up question so much about them.

I kinda like the fact that Blitzo’s apology to Verosika didn’t resolve things the same way it did with Fizz. I like it when shows show that not every apology ends with straight up friendship. Verosika clearly wants to see Blitzo become a new person but is definitely making it clear she wants distance while he does it.

Stolas had no friends so he has no social skills and doesn't understand that blitz thinks he thinks he's below him and he's just totally head over heals and doesn't know how to tell him whereas blitz grew up with a father that wasn't interested in him as a person only what he could give so when stolas says "favours for favours" ofc blitz is going to think it's just sex. And ofc he's going to think stolas views him as below him when stolas says things like "my impish little play thing" and "little creatures" as well as the environment they both grew up in is very horrible however very different to each other. I hope they communicated soon and come to and understanding and reunite with each other❤❤❤
I just rewatched the whole series for like the 4th time (I’ve watched this episode twice) and I just feel so connected to the characters in so many ways. The show is so realistic with the way it shows feelings and it’s heart breaking to watch but incredible. I love this show so much. ALSO STOLAS’ SOMG WAS SO GOOD
Verosika is the only person who finally realizes that blitz hates himself more than anyone at that party could possibly hate him. Because what's worse than being the person who breaks everyone's heart? Being so broken that you don't think you deserve anyone's heart in the first place.

The most amazing thing about these characters is how real they are.
I dunno why NO ONE was talking about this. But blitzø when he was on his apology tour, stopped multiple times to try and apologized to STOLIS, but stopped every time. Blitzø has so much guilt but cant communicate it. He says things out of anger then regrets it and doesnt know how to say sorry, its tragic.
That one bit with Mayberry and Martha is one of the greatest plot twists ever.

Tbh this episode made me realize how different HB and HH deals with breakups or issues in a relationship.
For example in HH Charlie and Vaggie get over their problems in 1 episode wish it was 2-3 episodes of buildup them getting together not directly saying "Sorry i forgive you" kind of thing.
Everyone knows that Blitz hates it when they sat his name with the O at the end. So the fact that Verosika calls him by the name he prefers at the end of the conversation is such a big thing. She's happy to see his genuine side and truly does want him to grow.
I like how this episode has subtitles, yet Full Moon still doesn't for some reason.
I like how blitzø may have been going through the 5 stages of grief because he starts in denial, denying that stolas doesn’t want to hookup anymore then he goes through anger by blowing up at stolas then he tried bargaining by saying that stolas will like him if he apologizes to everyone he wronged then he got depressed because he realized he has been so bad to so many people and accepts that he needs to be a better person

I can't tell you the last time I've listened to a song as much as I've listened to ALL 2 U in the last four days.
I also can't tell you how relatable I feel towards both Blitz and Stolas, how you know you want to change, but any slight against you makes you fall back into the bad habits and mentality that caused the issues in the first place. Knowing you fucked up so, so bad, but wanting to fix it, yet you for sure know you're not going back to how things were. First guy I was with, I was not very emotionally available with, took it for granted for sure, and realized after we broke off there needed to be changes if I ever got with another person. I'm in a relationship that is overall better, but still needs work, on both ends. That also allowed me to look into who I wanted to be and who I wanted to be with, and learning from those past issues in myself and my partner, trying to confront it instead of trying to internalize it or sweep it under the rug.
You guys are doing amazing work on all fronts with this series, I'm both grateful and humbled every time you guys put out new content. Let the haters hate, I see what you're doing here and I'm all for it, Stolas got his get-back, and will (hopefully soon) get to eat his share of humble-pie from Octavia (who totally needs to be the person to serve it to him). Looking forward to it!

When Verosica encouraged Stolas to say how he felt. She was anxious about it because it was like the feeling that “ hey maybe I deserved it was it my fault was there’s something that I did to deserve it” but he let himself go like he should. Because blitz hurt stolas.

This episode was both uplifting and utterly heartbreaking. Stolas has it nailed when he says, " You have an entire party full of people who cared about you. Do you realise how much you have to care to do something this stupid? " Blitz goes around assuming that he's unloved but never sees all the people who have loved him and been rejected. His armour of self-hatred is so thick he can't see past it 😢

At first,Blitz didn't see it. At the end of the episode, he sees it now,at least a little. Regardless of when it started, Blitz has hurt people and I hope he does begin to change things for the better. Maybe he and Stolas will get back together but they work on their individual issues before then
Precisely the problem with him. And later when he was about to lay his hand on Stolaz back it showed that he even knows that himself.
The sad part is when they were still at the mansion Blitz almost opened up about his true feelings and Stolas was receptive to it but his pride stopped him cause he couldn't say I'm sorry or admit that self hatred is most of his problem.
I wish you were talk about how Stolas contributed to blitzo's way of thinking, Stolas used him for pleasure and blitzo used stolas for the book. That's why blitzo said Stolas is all about sex, and dont blame him for that at all.

He couldn't express his feelings in any other way but innuendo, so it feeds into blitz feelings of only being good for that. By the time Stolas actually makes attempts to try to be or act, romantic blitz is so used to their dynamic that it comes across as just another form of foreplay not a genuine gesture.

i like how Verosika isnt some cold hearted bitch we saw in spring broken but is a hurt and deeply relatable character, being ghosted and abandoned by someone you fell in love with does hurt and it does affect you, but we also see that, while it isnt an instant friendship, she is open to seeing Blitz change is open to forgiving him
i like to imagine that the beginning of season 1 was Blitz's perspective and as the story continues we see more of the reality of the relationships between characters, especially if there will be more shorts of how the different characters come together and interact, id love to see a short in the future of Striker and Verosika, just because of the whole I.M.P exes thing

She was always petty, but she never came off as a "cold hearted bitch". Just someone who was hurt and wasn't afraid to express it. During her very introduction, we get to see her drop the smile and be genuinely mad at Blitzø, telling him off for what he did to her. This was always her character, and it was always clear. I don't know where you got that interpretation from.
At first, I was confused as to why it still seemed like she was obsessed with Blitz enough to throw a hate party in his image. But I think, even though it's clear she has issues of her own to work out, she wanted to externalize her feelings in a way that she can easily physically cope with, and to do it with other people who shared the same emotional trauma. It's very easy to villify one's ex, but I think deep down, perhaps hesitantly, she knows Blitz is hurting just as much.
The fact that stolas looks to blitzø for permission before dancing feels like it means so much and I can’t find any comments even mentioning it.

That part you mentioned it was so cool and really beautiful. In this episode I see that blizø is gettin out of his own problems and see what he did to others in that party and at the same time, there is characters as Verosika and Stolas who are understanding blitzø's behaivour. They are seeing how much he hates hiself and how he is trying to be better with the apology tour. Fun fact, blitzø wanted to discuss with Stolas in the first minutes of the episode and when Stolas said that he wants a sorry, blitzø just créate the apology tour

stolas gave blitz the option to say "don't go to london, i cannot be without you" in that moment but blitz didn't do it. his self hatred took over and he let stolas go. so he did.
Maybe he realized that when you truly love someone it’s best to let them go, especially if you f up and realize you love them too late. I know how Blitzø feels…. This whole episode is a rollercoaster of emotions and I’m crying. I really hope Blitzø changes for the better

every other episodes writing has been so frustrating for me. i’m just really happy with this episode. stolaz finally gets something good.
The way Verosika calls him Blitz and offers him some cake after realizing he hates himself. Between this and the party, I’d say this is the reason why Tex is in her posse. She’s like Bee in that she engages in her sin, but she cares where it counts. Putting together a party where people can not only vent, but they can also find camaraderie and perhaps a new love if only for the night, isn’t a succubus thing. It’s a healing thing. Verosika found that way to help others heal, and it’s really nice to see this other side of her
I like that it shows that their not just all sh***y being but they are actually more like people.
Though makes sense since a lot of their are human souls, but they do things to help each other, gives them depth and makes characters more complex, it's how good writing is done.

First, I'm actually crying with this episode, just when I though the last episode was intense 😭 Personally I really enjoyed seeing Stolas beign honest with his feelings and that finally he said everything he has inside him. Second, Blitzø finally understanding the situation is both so heartbreaking but also healing 🥺 And the end of the day, he also has his own issues that need to deal with. Third, HOW IN HELL EVERY SONG THAT STOLAS SIGNS IS SO PERFECT?! The lyrics is beautiful and so emotional, and he is learning that maybe he needs to learn something too 😞😞😞 So many emotions i'm just one episode, but I have faith in both Stolas and Blitzø, I NEED THIS TWO TO BE HAPPY!!!!

Stolas is the highest ranked demon at the party but no one seemed to care. No bowing, no 'your highness' and no special treatment.
I like to think he considered that a positive. As far as we're aware, Stolas has never seen himself as being the same as all the other Ars Goetia nobles of Hell, which is why Blitz seeing him as a "...RICH, POMPOUS ASSHOLE!" hurt him so much.
might also be because verosika’s party MAY be looked over or lightly guarded by Bee, as shown with her handwritten note to verosika at 8:21 . This could have been told to guests so they worry less.

I know this party is all for Blitz's exes, but still... my one problem is that they missed the opportunity for a nice site gag by having Moxxie pop up. He just shows up in the background, having walked around a corner. He sees and recognizes Blitz despite his "disguise", goes buggy-eyed for a moment, then quickly and silently backs up, and evidently runs away from the party before he's seen.
if you think about it, stolas is kind of hypocritical. during blitz and stolas’s argument, stolas protests that he doesn’t like how dirty blitz is speaking to him, when blitz knows damn well the way stolas was speaking to blitz when stolas had a massive crush on him.
He was expressing that AT THE CURRENT MOMENT he felt uncomfortable with it, because he was trying to finally get over Blitz but Blitz wasn’t giving it up, and let’s be honest if someone’s ex was talking dirty to them they would 100% feel uncomfortable. Stolas had been making it obvious he didn’t want to be “just sex” and Blitz kept trying to be “just sex”. So of course he felt uncomfortable with the sexual comments.

Stalking != love, quite the opposite in face. I've been stalked by at least one male to work and one flirty lady to scorned looking demon to a gym locker room for 40 minutes. Where they stood outside the shower room with her mascara dripping off her face and enraged eyes after faking a drown. And maybe I've been on the other end when flooded with hormonal chemicals.
The last word I'd use for a hormonal testrorone filled rage or rage filled period is "love" but creepy or obsession. We have to remember live isn't a tv show and even though this is a pretty messy relationship multiple things can be true at once.
Blitzo appeared only wanting to rob Stolas, Stolas joked that he could only be here for nefarious reasons, either to rob him again or to jokingly visit him alone to seduce him. With a definite power indication Stolas could have him killed at a whim or order but during a failing marriage went "f it", and wanted to check in on Blitzo.
Who canonically Stolas though of as a childhood friend, the first he made at like 5-10, who wanted to be a clown and had dreams of running a professional circus and offering to let Stolas join and play pirates.
Both were domino pushed into different things. Blitzo was sold for a dollar and pocket lint to rob them by a selfish joke father. Stolas was " gifted" without knowing it was fake.
When Stolas made the assumption, he was probably under the illusion Blitzo was the same innocent childhood friend he had a bond with. After all, the ones I had talked about memories, even distant ones I didn't remember that remembered me from footballers who went on to nfl or 6 feet 4 buff Chad's and Polynesian nfl giants came up to me in restaurants to talk about the day we fought over hohos and donuts in a classroom.
Or had parents so cheap we EXPLICITLY walked away from male/male Valentine's with 20/20 vs 30/30 classrooms lmao.
Blitzo is a cartoon character. They both are and none are free of faults.
But Stolas ignored literal red flag after warning red flag. That things changed, his wife wanted to kill him. His daughter was crying herself to sleep every night, and he was chasing any warmth he could find. That a relationship Blitz didn't want seemed good by comparison to a isolated bird. That Blitzo only halfheartedly reciprocated and smoked cigarettes out of boredom and saw Stolas as a transactional sex for book deal.
Much of the relationship began to sour after s1:5 when Blitzo, despite being in a relationship with Stolas, openly developed crushes on everything but Stolas. Stryker literally attempted to strangle his employees Millie and Moxxie in cold blood into a basement and kill Stolas for Stella as a power trip and that's where a lot of Blitzos starting enragement and rage at Stolas is planted. From a hired serial killer who made him wet who he didn't shoot but blushed.
Blitzo is a romantic interest here but if this was the real world. Reddit romance wouldn't excuse picking a serial killer OVER YOUR OWN SPOUSE because THEY LOOKED AT A MENU. Relationships in real life take work and anyone who systemically ignores their partner for basic needs and words for years makes a great soap romance. But sometimes complicated isn't the best thing to live in real life.
There's some people for instance who take the tsundere anime trope literally. And end up literally warned they'll have the police called on them after "romantically following my girl of my dreams 7 houses and asking her if she'd like to see me @$$#%$ her. She told me I was creeping her and her children out, and that she would call the police unless I moved 39 feet away."
It might be harsh but the older someone gets in their ways, often the more likely they are to resist change. S2:9 Blitz is taking some right steps and being legitimately willing to change is a green yellow flag imho.
But like a Stolas, I don't want to go back to someone who always hurt me when I once looked up at them. Who'd never change alone for me when I was hurting, who thinks stalking/unhealthy obsession is love and has messed up red flag fantasies.
I'd just want to call the police if boundaries were crossed too far, get A restraining order if things were unmendable and move on. And stay with someone who genuinely loved me or made us both feel butterflies, even with real ups and downs.
A cartoon fantasy relationship can go anywhere. And the relationship is set in hell. And Blitzo is legitimately trying to change. And theres a awkward message for both. But it's like a opposing job offer. If one offers to give you more for less. And your old job temporarily swears at you, cusses you out. Would the fear things would improve for a while then crash (love bomb then abuse(??)/resentment) happen again? )
The other relationship could be a fresh start or a gamble.2 minutes is way too short to know someone and with Stella antics it might be the wrong time to be vulnerable vs blinded by want. But he could offer Stolas what he needs to heal or be a trap or impulse lay.
Life is messy. Second chances exist, but dropping 17th chances after 14 broken hearts is just depressing after some point. Its no wonder Stolas and I eventually gave up after 6 more broken and walked over chances even to the one A blitzo would offer. It's not about being in bed with a Opportunistic, self centered. and proud of it serial killer.
Its about being loved. Which a serial killer is the wrong person to "help" with for anyone with sense in irl.I think if in a real life scenario. It makes sense for anyone to want to move on, guard their heart or find the right person or mend things.
Mistakrs in the real world can be like car accidents in the real world. You can lose what took a lifetime to build, in just three seconds making the wrong judgement or having false confidence in a car in your blind spot.

I really like the line "That's a rom-com". From personal experience, I've seen many, MANY people romanticize the idea of a relationship and bend over backwards to try and make it like how they see it portrayed in media, unable to draw that line between fiction and reality. Relationships can be magical--but not always in that way. Moreover, they're often hard work in reality and require A LOT of communication, understanding, and even sacrifice from all parties involved. I know the episode was more aimed at Blitz's mistakes, but it also shows that Stolas also has an air of naiveté when it comes to having a relationship as well.
