    ▬Warhammer Diorama build tutorial ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
In this tutorial, we'll be creating a Warhammer diorama based off of the Games Workshop tabletop game age of Sigmar, Cursed City
This diorama was a challenging build with a lot of 3d printing base bits, but the end result is worth it. We'll be using a variety of materials to create the scene from Warhammer cursed city characters, das clay and resin bits.
▬ Step one: How to make a diorama
to start making the diorama I cut out some XPS foam to fit the size of my chosen piece of wood. using hot wire cutters I then shaped the foam to make the diorama look more natural. A helpful tip would be to try and shape your diorama so that it's not flat but has verticality to make it appear more real.
▬ Step two: Building and converting your Warhammer miniatures.
the two characters I am using today are a storm cast Eternal which I added resin bits onto and a character from Warhammer cursed city.
▬ Step three: Add extras to the diorama!
Now it's clay time! This is the best time to sculpt your diorama into the shape you like using my favourite das clay. At this stage, I also added all of the resin terrains I 3d printed to add some character to the diorama.
when adding the dirt or texture paste I used a thinned-down PVA glue followed by IPA to get rid of any surface tension on top which helps the PVA soak in on the second pass.
▬ Step four: Painting your Warhammer miniatures
When it comes to painting Warhammer miniatures I like to use lots of thin coats to retain any highlights which is a great speed painting method.
▬Step five: How to paint the Diorama
for main base of the diorama I used earth tones airbrushed onto the diorama. afterwards, I painted all of the extras In a muted colour palette
    FIN...
All these techniques can be used for lots of things from Warhammer fantasy and 40k terrain to Warhammer Cursed city terrain and scenery.
I hoped you enjoyed my Warhammer diorama tutorial and I look forwards to seeing you next time on Miniverse

I must say, I have never really been in to diorama making or anything like it. But your videos have really sparked an interest I didn't know I had. And I just love watching you make, and explain how you make these works of art!

This is a cool diorama! Out of curiosity, where did you get the 3d print files for the shield, axe, and helmet?

Thanks! They're from a Kickstarter I backed a while ago called the valiant and the vile. I believe they are now on My mini factory as well.

What did you use for the dirt? (hesitant to ask just incase you say real dirt and I end up looking dim).

    • @Themodelman
      @Themodelman  Před rokem

Hi, yes it is actually real dirt, I usually get it out of a plant pot. I was sceptical at first but after sterilising it, it works pretty well!
