Vom Garagenrock ihrer Anfangstage über Funk, Britpop, Punk und Rock'n'Roll kippen Royal Republic alles in ein Reagenzglas, um am Ende fein destillierte Tanzwut herauszukriegen. Die Konzerte der vier Schweden aus Malmö gleichen großen Partys.
Die Band um Sänger und Gitarrist Adam Grahn tut sich 2007 zusammen. Die gemeinsame Mission: "Wir wollen die Leute glücklich machen und bereit für die Party. Vielleicht auch ein bisschen horny...". Gesagt, getan. Von Anfang an machen Royal Republic weder live noch im Studio Gefangene. Den Männern aus Malmö geht es um ein Maximum an Spaß. Dafür mischen sie ein tanzbares Gebräu aus den unterschiedlichsten Zutaten zusammen, frei nach dem Motto: "Alles geht, nix muss".
Seit dem Debüt "We Are The Royal" haben sich Royal Republic mit viel gesundem Selbstvertrauen und einem frechen Auftreten, das an ihre Landsmänner von The Hives erinnert, in die Herzen der Fans und zahlreicher anderer Musiker gespielt. Social Distortion, blink-182 und die Toten Hosen sind nur einige der großen Bands, die die Schweden schon als Support im Schlepptau hatten. Mittlerweile sind sie selbst internationale Stars.

@@hydra9627 both amazing bands. Muse come from the same area I live so I'm now playing the small venues with my band that they used to play! But Royal Republic are right up there. However good they look on CZcams, they will blow you away live in the flesh

Sweden is turning out droves of killer bands. Discovered these guys in the CZcams feed. Thank goodness. Simply one of the best bands Ive ever heard or seen. At 59 Ive seen all the "big acts", club and underground bands. Royal Republic makes me want to play again. In America we are subjected to MGK, Pink, and other button pressers as "Rock Acts". What a joke. The music industry has to be filled with the most stump dumb people.These guys should be in stadiums. Why and when will these gentlemen come to the USA? Thanks Royal Republic. Been sick lately and this lifted my spirits beyond words. God Bless!!

Niko Böswetter ich war in Dresden dabei, da haben sie tatsächlich noch nh Menge mehr Songs gespielt und unter anderem auch sogar noch Motörhead gecovert ^^
Nicolas Brux kann ich mir echt gut vorstellen. Der Sänger ist ein Beast im Anzug versteckt! Die kleinen Growls die er gemacht hat waren hammer
Niko Böswetter ich glaub BT und RR kann man schlecht vergleichen... Billy Talent sind deutlich härter und Ian nutzt viele Jazz-Elemente während Royal Republic Rockabilly und Punk mixen

agree... I was there, it was great, but still I secretly was waiting for songs from "We are the royal" (and also "Save the nation"). But well, this was an album tour for the new album, and it was awesome anyways, so I guess it's fine
I always was a bigger fan of two first albums. I also like some songs from the last two(fireman and dancer is pure gold) but We are the Royal and Save the nation will still be my most played albums.
The first time I have seen them live was in 2011, they played the whole album and actually opened with The Royal. Hundreds of concerts later that still was the best opening ever.
I discovered Royal Republic a week ago, man!, they are amazing and they became one of My favorites bands!

I saw them live as a support for SOAD in Kraków, Poland. That was the first time I've heard of the band. They were amazing live, even more energy than on the albums!
