They sound better live than ever.
True!
Enjoy it, the end is coming 😪
They sound tight!!!! Incredible!!! The voice its awesome!!!
exactly what i was about to type. wish the vocals were louder in the mix tho!
@@silencednn They're disbanding next year.
These guys are getting close to their 50s and still acting and singing like they’re 18. I fkn love it

Add up each year of his life and you get a sum of 41....
Deryck is one hell of a frontman. Amazing stage presence and sounding better than ever.
Such a shame this band will end.
I have a feeling this will not be the last hoorah. not for them. not ever. but everyone needs a little break every once in a while. see you soon guys. enjoy the time off. till then.
@@brianostrom4751 same.. i mean look at Blink 182 haha
well, they have families too lol.
Yeah he handled that drunk dude on a stage like a pro as well 🤣
They arent over.....im going to the farewell in dublin but its see u later....not goodbye
Holy shit, this is literally the best concert they have ever done. I can't believe they'd quit after doing this.
end on a high! imagine if they ended up as one of those bands doing a lame reunion tour sounding shitty and old and out of energy

Band is as tight as ever and Deryck might be the best recovery come back story ever told. Dude went from looking 25 hours from death to looking like hes back to 25 years old. Sad to see it end but they at least are ending it on top!
Honestly drummer is not quite on time and pretty sloppy if you listen to it.
Honestly I think you're just being picky with the drummer, 'cause I can't hear nothing wrong with his playing. There are drummers from much bigger bands doing much worse than him nowadays...
@@synhet84 i think he sounds great

That Rage Against The Machine cover is absolutely perfect. This whole set is incredible. One of the best live performances I’ve seen!
except the tempo a little bit slow for that song
He sounds a lot like Zach de la Rocha! Such a flawless cover (maybe except for the solo being quite different).
Christ, they're honestly one of THE best live bands...Deryck is sounding better than ever and his being frontman/singer without the guitar has LET HIM LOOSE! He and the band are absolutely killing it. Sad to see them end it, but what a way to go - on the back of the best shows of their lives.

The older they get The better they get It’s unbelievable how much better they sound each and every time
yes true but sad that they will disband in the near future :(

I can’t see the last show being in Canada. Sober Derrick voice is unbelievable
I've seen them (I think) 14 times since 2000, and they've only ever gotten better. Their energy is beyond electric!
Unbelievable how good they sound, almost makes you shed a tear looking at everything deryck went through, and now he sounds better than he ever did
NO ONE ELSE LIKE THIS POST !!! and keep it at 182 likes
I never knew Sum 41 was this dope. I’m a fan now!
Since i was 8 years old my favorite band. I'm 32 now lol. And they keep getting better
@@12978fghdiu23gewsduf I remember them from when they came up but never really checked them out for real. Only the MTV videos. We didn’t have CZcams then so now I’m kind of disappointed I didn’t look them up then. They rock!
You are 27 years late😂😂
It's never too late! Welcome aboard :D
That drummer is slaying it.
Legends from 2000, they made our childhood/teenage epic, awesome life perfomance, "Pieces" still hits hard.
Yup
they were gay then and even gayer now.
@@pimtool9351Look at your fucking "created playlists" my guy, thats some gay shit. Buddys a political NPC xD
and hell song.. and still waiting
agree, always been shit
This is a fucking unreal performance. So tight. What a way to end their career at their bests
Chuck.. that album was a masterpiece
Facts
The Sums sound tighter and groovier than they have in years. You can totally tell they were having fun playing with each other at this show. Vocals were on point, and the harmonies, and everybody was moving at blistering speed. Great to see them back in form and ready to release a new record.
I love how each new albums sound better, more mature and evolved; without losing their style and roots. Not many bands do that
I dno his vocals hit harder when he was strumming hard on the axe, almost sounds artificial like this, there was no need for timing before, it was natural like the "kya" during a karate punch when he strummed and sang haha best way i can describe it😅 sounds much less aggressive now
Personally I think they sound great but the whole thing of 'im a singer, I don't need to play guitar anymore' annoys me
@@closinginonclosure It was a reference....
Still full of energy, it's a pity they are retiring.. These guys raised me and brought me into the world of music 🤘
One less active boring pop punk band is a victory, sir.

@@emile408 I'm sorry that your experience wasn't the best, but at least we have this quality on the video which will last forever.
I've seen these guys live multiple times and they NEVER disappoint. Amazing live band. Here's hoping their upcoming split is more of a break then a true end for the band. Sum 41 are one of the best rock bands of their generation.
Agree completely. They're consistently good. I can't wait for their new album and farewell tour.

This might be the tightest live they've ever been! Get that soundman a beer
Haha I misread "get that frontman a beer" and thought that wait a minute....

post editing. Every single band has it
@@aristideregnier4883 This was a live broadcast.
No, incorrect. This statement right here is so indicative of the problems with bands these days. Before I say anymore let me say; I'm a fan, and I enjoyed watching this performance, they're a great band.
Now for the facts; the vocals were autotuned, the drums had triggers and there was a heavy bit of post-production work done to the mix after.
So no, this is definitely NOT how an actual live band should or does sound.
@@millerkmd1 when i am listening to a live version i absolute want a band to sound this clear. so YES THIS IS HOW A BAND SHOULD SOUND LIKE LIVE. i dont care if they use tracks. every band uses them nowdays.

Incredible performance! Also, bravo to who ever mixed the audio on this! WOW
So sad they're Disbanding when they sound greater than ever. Especially Deryck. Wow. Just like if it was pre recorded. Not a false note, everything is spot on. Hope they get together again in the future!

Wow just wow, not expecting their live this good after 20 years, well done! Thanks for rocking our world all this time
Suddenly - as a 37 year old father with a wife and house and bills and day to day stresses of life. I put on my headphone and shut my eyes for a hour . I was transported to being a 14 year old listening to them in my old bedroom. I cried I laughed I smiled at all the memories that came flooding back. I seen these several times in the 2000s with friends I don't speak to anymore in places I don't go anymore and I really do appreciate and value what music brings to everyone's life - look out for each other and be kind
Such a great band. It's a shame that they are about to stop!
Hi, can you elaborate? Did they say they will stop in the near future?
EDIT: Found the sources. Last double album coming and disband afterwards. 😱
My bet is that they disband for a few years - singer likely does a solo project or something. And then they reunite. So many bands do this. Anberlin and The Killers are recent ones that come to mind.
I really hope they do that... It would be refreshing for them to do some new cool side-projects for the next decade or so, and then reuniting to make the older fans happy and release more "mature" Sum 41 albums... Let's see what happens!

I have so many memories with them and their music. I hate that they are ending in 2024 but honestly they will go out on top.
