I know. Disgusting. I've been abused, several times, but now I'm a parent it makes me even MORE determined to make sure it NEVER happens to my children. Being abused is no excuse for wilfully allowing your children to be abused by the same person.

@@kanyebreast6072 it’s a little different when your both being abused at the same time, and with spousal situations like that there’s typically a lot of fear of the consequences of leaving the abuser, and that fear is also on the child, she was likely scarred that her child and or herself would be killed if they left

If you have never been in this position you couldn’t possibly understand, especially when it comes to abuse in families. I can see why you would think what you think so I’m really not trying to be rude to you but under these circumstances the damage is already done to the mother emotionally and mentally, she can’t cope with what taking charge and dealing with the situation would cause, she may be scared about loosing her family and sometimes she’s really trying to forget, it’s why she didn’t take charge as a child, she’s still in that mentality if that makes sense. Yes I agree that her child should never have been put in that situation but the blame belongs with the abuser.
We can all agree you should never leave your child with a man like that. But we have to realize that psychologically this woman is probably all over the road.
Putting her under the microscope would probably reveal tons of decisions we would call irrational. She is a victim.

Abused women stay with their husbands for years never leaving and pretending that everything is okay to the outside world because they have been conditioned, everyone seems to understand that, why on earth do you think a woman who had been conditioned from childhood onwards would be any different? If anything she was less likely to speak up and take action. Men who have been abused by their fathers as children can also do this. She took action eventually and I’m sure it took every bit of strength she had. Some people never do and again it’s not their fault, childhood abuse can get buried deep into someones mind and takes a lot to come out.
He sounds like my mother. She went to her grave denying that she ever sexually abused me.

Jesus, the grandmother disgusts me just as much as that revolting, poor excuse of a human being! Notice how the grandmother's statements are 90% defending herself?? No real or heartfelt, "I'm so sorry, if I failed you before I will not fail you now, I love you and will do whatever to protect you, etc..." ANYTHING would've been better than the empty excuses she gave them! And if she truly believed and loved these women, she would admit her wrongdoings. Period.

I give them credit for being able to restrain themselves after hearing the results. I couldn't do that.

I don't want to judge the mother because I was never molested and I don't know her situation, but its difficult to understand how she allowed her own daughter to be around those sick monsters when she herself was a victim of his. I mean, I want to sympathize with her, but it's hard to wrap my head around her actions. I hope they have cut these sick f*cks out of their lives and I hope they've gotten the help they need so that the daughter can stop the cycle of abuse when she becomes a mother some day
In short she was gaslighted into believing she was imagining her traumatic past. When her daughter had the same experience it validated her and pulled her out of the brainwashing. It’s really sad :(

I know polygraphs are not 100% accurate that's why you can't use it in court. I've seen guilty people pass them and innocent people fail em... But I trust this one!!

I know - KNOW, that most mothers are aware their daughters are being molested but choose to do nothing about it as it would rock the mother's boat, dirty her reputation as a socially acceptable woman, reduce the physical comforts she's used to. A great many mothers choose "not to see,or know" anything is wrong. The mothers should get a polygraph, also.

There’s more than a small chance the test results would be inaccurate. Polygraph tests have been proven to be inaccurate, that’s why they aren’t allowed in court. Even the inventor of the polygraph eventually came out and said they were BS.
@@megaroo6110 They are not allowed in court not because they are inaccurate but because polygraphs show what the person in question believes, it doesn't show the truth. A rapist who truly believes he didn't rape anyone will pass the test and an hallucinating innocent will fail it.

Yes they are. My brother robbed a store and was given a lie detector test which he failed that test was submitted to the courts with other evidence. My brother even confessed to it. But it was because of that test that he got a prison sentence.
