- Harley Edward Streten, better known as Flume, was born on November 5th 1991 in Sydney, Australia. He grew up on the northern beaches of Sydney, raised by his filmmaker and record producer father, Glen Streten, as well as his horticulturalist mother, Lyndall Streten. According to his father, Harley was interested in music from a young age. When he was 8 years old, he was at the grocery store with his father, and he saw that Nutri-Grain cereal was running a promotion where a copy of “Andrew G’s Music Maker” was included in the cereal box. They purchased the cereal and installed the software on their computer when they got home. The software showed Harley how music was layered together, and he was very intrigued and wanted to learn more about music production. That was the catalyst that triggered Harley’s development into the world class Grammy winning producer we know him as today.

Slight correction, the Triple J segment is called "Like A Version", as a play on the Madonna song.
They get artists to come in the station's studio to do a live performance of a cover and an original.
It's grown to become a pretty big deal over the years.
Yeah I accidentally typed "virgin" on my script since I'm used to hearing that in reference to Madonna lol
Loving these videos, keep it up! Food for thought - bringing the vibrant colors you have in your YT profile banner into your profile picture might draw peoples eyes to that area of the screen (closer to the subscribe button) ;-)
That's a great idea, I appreciate the feedback! And thanks for supporting the videos!

I need traductor spanish
“Raised by his record producer father “
His dad owns a film production company that does work for local businesses in Australia, which he's been doing for 30 years. I can't find any info on his record production work other than the fact that he did it at one point, probably before he started his film company. So it's not a situation where Flume had a huge leg up in the music industry, his music definitely speaks for itself.
Who took that first place over flume in the contest?
It was a group called "Convaire", they haven't released anything since 2011
This Biggie Smalls vs Flume mashup is still one of the most epic tracks of all time:
