Movie buffs searching for a larger TV alternative have a lot to gain from home theatre projectors, but they also frequently necessitate either a separate theatre room or some substantial rearranging of your home entertainment system. That isn't always practical.
What you require are super short throw projectors, which can be utilised from just inches away from a screen and angle a tight image upward. This frequently means you won't need to make many changes to your TV set-up! Here are our favorite picks for best ultra short throw projectors.

I can’t wait to get the formovie next year as a matter of fact I already started saving up for it .
My Vava was very difficult to set up the way I wanted it ceiling mounted, are these newer projectors more adjustable for focus/size etc? Bright and saturated enough to use in full daylight?
You quoted the specs for the Samsung The Premier LSP7T. It’s a huge difference between the LSP7T and LSP9T. You should correct this
Did you evaluate the hisense l9g? Wondering why it did not make the list
I have the Optoma CineMax P2 and i think its amazing. Im surprised it didnt make your list
Have you tested the Philips U5 Screeneo?
Which sounds bar works best with Formovie
I love to see how technology is advancing here. But I am afraid I have to state that it just isn't there yet. They have a good chance to compete with best of the TV's but improvements are desperately needed if that is going to be the case. Better brightness + 4K/120Hz is a must if somebody will pay 4-5K$ for it.
I have the Formovie Theater for about a month now and it is amazing. Wish it had 3D, but I have gotten over that.
how does the brightness look in day light? I have DELL UST 4k projector @5000 lumens that works in day light but this one seem newer
@@HenryCoule It is great, very viewable in my opinion. Without the UST ALR screen it was terrible, but after getting it was night and day difference.
I could never get over it. 100+ 3D blu-ray movie discs and that is the preferred way of watching any movie. Even over 4k. Especially for animated films. If I am getting a projector 1) I am at least going to project 120", 2) Watch a lot of 3D movies
Why does the Amazon link of "Formovie" projector in the description of this video takes you to a completely different projector pager called Nebula Projector from Anker? All of the other links in the description of this video are also either broken or take you to TV pages instead of projector pages.
I guess people are missing to consider Casiris .... triple laser in budget which clearly beats the other UST projector..and said check the price
I’’d probably still get the Samsung Triple Laser. Formovie doesnt support netflix yet and I think the Samsung projector has Live TV as well which I use because it’s free. Either way you didn't mention that to get the best results you need to purchase a Ambient Light Rejecting(ALR) Screen
I really like the Formovie as well. Unfortunately, it doesn't support 3D Blu Ray (I chose AWOL 3500)
3d is dead
@@Do0o0oM 3D lives on. my most recent action movies have 3D versions available lol
Want the formovie but input lag is bit too high , can this be fixed with firmware? Will new formovie be out 2023 ?
I hope so, and i hope they will offer it with the new ALDP 5.0 and the ADPL 5.0 pro, combined with the new TI dlp chip for better blacks, they can keep the Formovie theatre with ALDP 4.0, as a lower priced projector.
Formovie all the way just seems like you getting the best bang for your buck.
Other than the Formovie, you don't even compare the best units available now. No AWOL 3500, no Epson LS800?
You should have had the Market leader Epson's LS800 in this test also.
I have tested LSP9T and LS800 side by side and LSP9T is the clear winner. SDR color of LS800 is really very bad. HDR is both ok. LS800 has no gaming mode, but seperate HDMI port for game console, but you cannot use together with your home cinema. Image quality is very very bad on this HDMI port. LS800 has brighter image, but noise of the fans is annoying.
@@vgecmez1466 ideal for gaming content, one HDMI port is dedicated for gaming and supports 1080p/120 Hz signal... Looks like gaming mode for me ;-)
This guy sure spent extra time on the Formovie. I wonder who is his sponsor.
LG and AWOL top all of them
These things are still quite expensive. Some coming in at over $2k in the US.
Is it really 4k
I have an 83 inch tv, if I'm going to spend money on a projector it must have 3d, which one does it have?
why do u need these kind of ust? its not practical i think.. your tv is big enough and u can't use your tv anymore.. better is to invest in a short throw beamer, like a benq, x3000i , quality is also better, i think it has 3d support.. and install a proper roll screen.
@@Arvidje I have an electric screen, optoma D2 I sent back, tomorrow I should use Awol LTV-3500 (it has 3D)
@@hindagsxr ah that would be a nice setup!
C'mon man, these are all UST projectors from 2021/2022... Whe have to wait for the Leica Cine 1, the Hisense K9, probably the Formovie Theatre 2, the vava, the Philips Screeneo U6 and all others competitors to come out this years. btw, Vincent of HDTV called such video's like this a scam, an i'm a deluded person if i buy a laser UST projector.
So most of these cost around $3000, plus another $1500-2000 for the screen and you're talking about $5k for a projector that has decent quality but not even close to OLED. That's a lot of money to pay for something that will probably be outdated in 4-5 years.
OLED, you need to pay for continuous viewing.
The projector can be equipped with a network decoder to watch any program for free. (This was discovered after I started using the projector)
Before that, I think it's better to buy OLED. However, whenever I open OLED. They will let me pay for this project. When I pay for programs, the latest movies and TV will let me pay for upgrades. This is also a terrible expense, paid layer by layer.
To order 92 inch OLEDs, it will cost $4000-5000. I might as well spend $8000 (projector, 120 inch screen, stereo, network decoder) to build a home theater and invite more friends to watch or hold a party.
This is just my personal opinion, that is, after using OLED, all programs are taking my money, but I am not particularly happy.
Only a fool would pay thousands for an ALR or acoustically transparent screen they could build for $250. More over, try finding a 120-150" OLED. LG's 97" OLED is $25,000.
@@Squiggly667 Maybe this is my personal feeling after using the projector! This shocked me. I am not bothered by the continuous payment when using OLED.
At present, I only use 8000 USB to order: ust projector+stereo+network decoder+120 inch ALR screen. It also includes my transportation to the United States.
Of which, ust projector: 5000 dollars, network decoder: 200 dollars, Bluetooth serial stereo: 1200 dollars, fixed frame 120 inch ALR screen 680 dollars. Transportation and customs costs: 920 dollars in total.
My family set up a theater in the basement, which can accommodate about 20 people to attend the party.
@@Squiggly667 If there is no constraint from my wife, I would like to spend 25000 dollars, and I can let the Chinese manufacturer do a customized service for me. Customized according to my reception hall: a 300inch ALR projection screen of 5000 dollars, a high-end ust projector of 10000+dollars, and a stereo of 5000+dollars. Xiaomi's network decoder has always been 200 USD.
If you buy a good ALR screen, it will survive more than one ust projector.
BTW...
Doesn't oled colors fade away after 4 years by heavy use? The manufacteres like LG and Samsung reduce the brightness of the screen after 5 minuts, it's quit aggressive with the LG C3, you have to get in to the service menu to disable the settings, who are set by the manufacturer,if you disable those settings your warranty will be void. They probably solved it with the G3 but you can't enter the service menu anymore if it kicks in, but a laser ust keeps always his brightness.
Dude. All you do is read the crap off the box it comes in. Do you even own a projector?
No 8k No Sale.......
The naration was painful.
