    Projectors are now on the rise and the hype of getting one for your perfect home theater is more than ever.
    However, you will not be able to fully utilize your projector without a projector screen.
    Projector screens come at different prices, and each have its benefits.
    But even a cheap screen will do wonders compared to no screen.
    I explain in this video how to improve your overall projection quality by 50%, with some extra tips and hacks that you can use aswell.
    In general, for the best indoor experience you want to get a fixed frame screen or a motorizor/manual projector screen.
    And for outdoor usage during daylight and night time, your best bet will be to get a projector screen with a stand, or just the screen and tie it up around some sturdy objects like trees or poles.
    I hope this video will be helpful to you and wish you a great day!

      Great to know. Just purchased an all in 1 GPX projector and includes a 120" white screen. This will be a surprise Christmas present for my son to use with this PS5 gaming system. So, going through reviews and research. Trying to avoid too much additional cost but open to possible options so the gaming experience will be as decent graphics as can achieve. I know the clarity will never be like a flat screen TV. I may try the gray sheet method. The material you purchased is thick material? Can you provide details. Thanks

      @@supercraig2009 it's just plain cotton fabric, I washed mine then put it in the dryer to take the wrinkles out. The screens they sell are folded and have fold lines that have to be ironed out without melting it. They say not to wash them.

      So much color bleeds out with a cotton sheet. Not saying you have to break the bank for it, but I promise you even a non-transparent screen will give you so much more color and punch.

    I wish I'd watched your video sooner. I wouldn't want to have a random projector screen lying around. Buying a screen at random could lead to less than ideal results. I'd prefer to have a specific projector screen, though the specific projector screen that would best fit my living room has yet to be determine. I've already ordered a screen with a stand similar to the stand screen you recommended. I figured the stand would give me the flexibility to move things around easily as I determine the best projector/screen setup for my room. I will probably eventually upgrade to a grey framed or roll up screen after trying things out. Thank you for all the information.

      @LuigisProductReviews  Pƙed rokem

      Hey I-Drone.
      It depends if your focus is on budget or quality. My assumption is you are looking for quality.
      Since it has a dedicated space for it, A fixed frame sounds like the way to go for you.
      So Silver ticket is the way to go.
      Your next question is, which color?
      Since you have blackout curtains ( Super good job by the way) . It means you are going to have a pretty dark room.
      So, you should go for either the White or Gray options. those will work great.

    whats the best manual pull down screen for daylight use?

    • @trendyprojectors4743
      @trendyprojectors4743 Pƙed rokem

      There is no definitive answer to this question because there are a variety of different types of screens that can be used for daylight projection and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some of the most popular types of screens for daylight projection include fixed frame screens, manual pull-down screens, electric screens, and inflatable screens. fixed frame screens are typically the most expensive option, but they offer the best image quality and are the most durable. Manual pull-down screens are less expensive and are easier to set up and take down, but they can be more difficult to use in windy conditions. Electric screens are the most expensive option, but they offer the easiest setup and take down and provide the best image quality.

    I'm trying to find a rear projection screen that I can use for events, mainly corporate, so it will be getting set up and taken down on a regular basis. I also need it to have no "Stretching", so I can't consider any of the outdoor projectors, and I am looking for projection screens with a Trim.
    I'm ideally looking for a 120" screen, but with the trim and everything else, I will only be projecting around 100" (maybe a little more).
    Obviously since I'm doing rear projection with an ultra short throw I can't use a "Grey Screen" or a "Fixed frame screen" as I can't project through them.
    *Edit
    So I found what I was looking for, only issue is they are quite expensive. I found the YARD MASTER 2 by Elite Screens, they have a selection of sizes, and the screens are very good with no stretching, and little need of trim.

      For max sharpness, clarity, and contrast, one wants a black or gray screen for a room with relatively low ambient illumination. If a projector's image area exceeds the physical dimensions of a specific screen, then one will see fringing (e.g. "chromatic aberration," although fringing can also occur in a monochromatic fashion).

    • @LuigisProductReviews
      @LuigisProductReviews  Pƙed rokem

      Hey SMuller,
      If your projector is a ceiling projector, then clr screens will work great for you. (which you can find with elite screens)
      Otherwise, ALR projectors are likely to be your better choice. (considering many other factors).

    Could I not just paint my entire 11’ wide by 8’ high wall I’m going to project to in the proper shade of grey and get a good image?
    This would give me a 150” 16X9 image and I don’t care about the black border.

    Grey screens kinda give you deeper blacks

    Do you think is a good idea a white screen gain 1.2 for dark room with white walls and ceiling? Or better grey screen?
    I am using a grey screen and I am thinking to buy a 126" white for my Optoma HD36.

    I stay away from motorized Elite Projector Screen with tension control. I bought a brand new ones and there's so many ripples or creases and the tension control did not help at all. They sent me another new one and it's even worst than the first one. Never buy Elite Screens again.

    I have this issue that you show the cheap and not so good screens. If you have an UST projector, you will want an ALR fixed screen. Everything you show has poor picture quality.

    "For short throw and ultra short throw projectors it is better to go for a lower gain screen." - *sigh*
    This video wasn't terrible, but it definitely has some questionable information and a lot of information about REALLY crappy screens.
    Oh, and short throw/ultra short throw projectors need a very flat screen above all else. In a lit room, a ultra short throw projector should be paired with a ultra short throw ambient light rejecting screen. UST/ALR screens are expensive, but can really deal with ambient light far better than any other solution.
    Oh, and a bright projector with terrible contrast is never the best way to go. Contrast is king, not brightness. A dark room, with dark walls, and dark ceiling, with a fairly dim, but good contrast projector will almost always be amazing. People chasing brightness over contrast are clueless.
