I think everyone would agree that you are now, bonafide Filipino by spirit and the passion that you both have for us keeps growing and growing. You have been to more places here in the Philippines than most of us and you have sacrificed a lot of time, money and energy, some people here accuse you guys of just using the Philippines and the people for your own personal gains, I don't really get that. All I know is, your vlogs take me to places that I know I may never be able to go to, and that in itself gives me something to appreciate and be grateful about you guys. Thanks for choosing this country as your new home. It's usually the Filipinos trying to find home in other countries such as yours. Batanes is the best island in the Phils. hands down!! We went there ten years ago... we were the only tourists at that time and we had the best time!!!!The flights were not regular but these days the flight availability is even better. There was no electricity at night but we we have seen the most stars!!! There is nothing as friendly as the people of Batanes. One can even go inside in any house, everyone is welcome and everyone greets everyone with ‘Dios mamajes (mamahes)’. There is even as an Honesty Store - just get any item from the store and leave your payment in the basket! Although shoplifters are not encouraged 😆. What they lack in the facilities in its remoteness and ruggedness is their best advantage.
I just hope Batanes won’t get overrun with too much tourists like Boracay!
@@b3blueblue Honesty stores are very common in Batanes. It's because the owners have to go fishing or farming. Some people also leave their electricity payment hanging outside with a small note for the collector.

Hi, Mike and Nelly's avid subscriber here. I've kept track of their Philippine journey...and as they've suggested in their vlog, I also read your email. And as their follower like the others, we can't help but wonder why did you resorted to email Mike and Nelly your life history and such? Like if you're really desperate and all, how come you haven't displayed that you have already exerted all of your resources first?
I mean, you already have an established youtube channel, fb account fan page, instagram, etc. with so many followers. You work at Manulife, got great communication skills, do vacations and such...you're smart... So why not use them promote and showcase all that you're selling, such as your house? You went through college and these are not hard to figure out. And quoting what the other subscriber said, you're options to sell is endless.
cam y Hello :) This effort I made to email Sir Mike and Ma’am Nelly was just one of those efforts you may not have seen. You can check out my facebook and check that I’ve already posted the house being sold last year around August or September. It went a little viral in our area, dozens of people have managed to help and messaged me regarding the house, posted it to different selling groups online, managed to talk with brokers who are my friends, and yet why have I not sold the house yet? Because it’s never simple to sell a house especially on my case. It’s still under mortgage, have unpaid dues, that’s why. My network is very limited because all my current connections are mostly like to my age or lower. I don’t think I am hitting the right market. To email Sir Mike and Ma’am Nelly was one of those shot I just tried, and I felt happy that they appreciated my effort to do so, and felt Blessed to have them believing in me. I can answer all your questions privately but I don’t think this is the perfect space for that because I don’t want Sir Mike and Ma’am Nelly to feel like they did something terrible. All the animals are grass fed & free range. The local gov't sure knows how to protect its environment. They already regulate the number of visitors who come & protects the ancestral domain of Ibatans. Good job Mr. Butch Abad! You made Batanes, a national heritage & pride of the Philippines!

I don't know why but whenever I watch your videos it always makes me feel that I am home there in the Philippines. Your vlog is a good source of positive energy. I’ve always dreamed of going to Batanes since I was 15 years old.
That dream is still unfulfilled but seeing all the vlogs about Batanes, showing all its beauty is enough for me now. I am now 81 and live in another country but miss my beloved Philippines every day.
I recommend sir that you can plant a tree in every place you've been for you to visit the place next time. Just ask the locals if they have something to be planted and they will be so happy to assist you plant your own tree. God bless

I've got hitted by your commentaries and what hits me so much is SIMPLICITY. I used to think that if I acquired cars to drive, branded clothes to wear or costly foods from restaurants to devour, hapiness will be defined, but it's not. Me...for the month of September 3 important person passed away...my uncle the only brother of my mother passed away first then u expected my father passed away after a days,then after a week my first cousin passed away..we’re deeply hurting that god tested us,but it’s god’s will..we accept it though it’s hurts beyond words..specially me I could reach my father his last farewell and was able to home go to say goodbye😭 bcuz of circumstances..but I surrender to the lord god..so,everyone of us has many struggles in life..just believe yourself that after the storm..the rainbows will come out...I’m thankful.god given me strength and my only weapons is PRAYER...don’t give up..keep moving..just pray bcuz the lord god hear us even a silent prayers😇🙏 I love and like both of you..you both amazing person..compassionate..good heart...take care..god bless 😘😇🙏
