everyone is talking about the cupcake and squash getting it on, but can we stop and appreciate how amazing the animation and story line was?

This has so many meanings. It could be as simply as that the "real" foods are better for us or as complex and profound as that the earth will reach its point when it can no longer support us humans. This animation showed going back to our...ROOTS will save our asses.

If it makes you feel better, there were all kinds of vegetables incorporated into the candy city that the cupcake hadn’t brought with him on the first trip, so that means that at some point he must’ve gone back and reunited with the squash

nearly every comment is about the sex scene. y'all are so easily phased. this was such a cute story but also had a powerful message. the animation was super original too. the best bit was when the vegetables were getting him to shave his "hair" off lol.

As a fellow stop motion animator, this is my favourite animation of all time. It speaks to me on a level that nothing else does. I appreciate the time, effort and love that went into this enchanting piece of art.
This was made when I was 6 years old, I’m almost 22 now but this really takes me back to a time on the internet I remember fondly, the stuff I watched when I was growing up. Thanks for making cool stuff.

Every few years I come back to this. Nostalgia is a powerful beast. The quality of the stop motion always gets me :)
It’s been 16 years since I stumbled upon this and it came back to me over the course of two dreams in the past week and now I’m back lol can’t believe it remembered what it was called
It was at about 6:30 when I questioned what I was watching, but the quality of this animation still holds up.
Never thought id have the privilege of seeing a cupcake and a squash getting it on

This is so beautiful! I love how the carrots look like lincoln logs. I will admit that I had a good laugh when the cupcake and the squash spent a night of lovemaking. This is wonderful.

The cupcake wants go explore the world on a boat 0:20, rather than being trapped in a boring city where all he seems to do is work 0:45.
His thoughts quickly turn to sailing/exploring when he's at work, showing that he is bored and doesn't want to be there 1:00
He then realises that he can build a boat out of the sugar cubes, and explore, so that's just what he does 1:07.
After sailing overnight, his ship crashes on a tropical island, where he has turn the ruins of his boat into a shelter 3:25.
He meets new friends, and discovers that they live differently to his other friends (at cupcake island) 4:35. He realises that their way of living is better than his old way (shown by the carrot and sugar cube buildings, which represent strong and weak ways of living) and this is the first time you see him enjoying himself, unlike on cupcake island 5:18.
He eventually becomes homesick, so asks his friends to help him get back to cupcake island 5:38.
He arrives safely back at cupcake island (because of the stronger boat) and goes to meet his friends 7:48.
The people on cupcake island are disgusted with him being naked (representing his new, healthy way of life) 7:59.
Later, there is a flash flood 8:22, so the cupcake makes a strong building out of carrots, to help his friends (showing that the unhealthy lifestyle didn't last very long) 8:47.
His friends realise how they can improve their lifestyles and start living healthily 9:13.
But that's just my opinion :P

Nice work here! I like the different angles and perspectives, and the use of ingredients for the objects. It reminds of my first stop-motion animation I did back in high school around '02.

I think that this is about starting over, doing something new and planting new seeds; good seeds. Changing yourself and figuring out who you are in the world and just living in the moment because moments create memories and you won't be able to keep everyone that you meet in your life.
