I was dealing with these conversations at least once a week, both familiar faces and strangers alike, and it seems like the majority are steering the conversation towards a more intimate direction. It led me to a decision, I cleared out all my social media accounts except for Insta, and even there, I've set it to private. In our current era, it appears that virtually every girl faces this type of discourse, be it in the digital realm or face-to-face. It's genuinely disheartening
So true! I gave up the Standard of guys beginning normal/entertaining/valuable conversation w me w/o having a romantic and or sexual Intention So i delete DMs saying "Hey" right away
I set all my social media to private the moment I realised deep fakes were a thing. People online are WEIRD. Now all I get are the occasional scam message I get is from dodgy "homework helps accounts because the only thing in my bio is that I am a vet student
The biggest thing about these kinds of interactions isn’t that they are creepy. They are dangerous. Women have to play along and hope a subtle rejection won’t send the creep on a stalker warpath of “if I can’t have her, no one can”. I’ve had guys message me out of the blue like this (that I’ve known in the past) and it can get really scary.
Yup. I had an exterminator call me to try asking me out. Of course I’m awkward laughing and just using “maybe” as an excuse. The guy knows my address so I can’t exactly complain or tell him to fuck off.
Yo do realise this happens to men too right? It happens quite a bit actually. Men do indeed have stalkers that are women. Men also have to play along and hope a subtle rejection doesn't send a stalker their way.
A couple of years ago a guy from middle school contacted me (we are over 40 now). He was one of the nice guys. After a polite chat, absolutely nothing sexual, he wanted me to send him pictures of my genital area. Nothing suprises me anymore on this planet.
Thats when you go online and find a picture of a wort covered genitalia from a health website, possibly from an opposite sex then what he was expecting.. lol
Guys like this are really all who ever contact me. It started to take a toll on my self esteem. I'm glad to see "call outs". It's time others know how creepy people are behind the scenes.
In my experience, someone asking “can I tell you something” in this context is, I think, a way for them to try to make you feel like you were the one that brought it on. They realize that saying something deplorable out of nowhere is bad, so they want to create the illusion that it’s your fault.
That, and/or they unironically think that saying yes is consent. You'd be surprised how many guys seriously think that both saying yes or being silent equals consent.
@@hecrosegreat3943 Just because someone says yes, that does not mean that they consent. Often times, people say yes out of shock and fear of what will happen if they say no.

Or the 'man I wish I knew girls who liked video games...' 'I like video games!' 'Oh???? Then name (super obscure fact about some game that barely anybody knows) or else youre not a real gamer ; ) ' Or they just hit with 'lol stardew valley and animal crossing dont count'

It's especially upsetting knowing so many nice kind decent people around me who are not actually able to find someone and be happy.
For the second interaction, negging is never a great way to treat other people and a person who does that, avoid at all costs. Another thing to avoid is if someone says something insulting to you and brushes it off by saying "Just kidding" or "You're too sensitive", because there is truth behind those insults of what they feel about you.
>"Just kidding" or "You're too sensitive" Funniest parts are: 1) They claim they are "honest", but, in reality, they are just too infantile to even having a basic tact. 2) The moment they have something they don't like, they whine and bitch even more than "le snowflakes." Times have really changed since I was a teenager and 20 year old trying to meet a girl on the internet. As a 41 year old married man now, I’m so glad all that difficult back and forth between a man and a woman when they are first meeting is over. I met my wife on MySpace back in 2007 and we connected through just chatting about random things movies, books, tv shows, who we are as people before we met each other and all that too. Damn time flies, in October it would be 17 years already since my wife and I been together as a couple and been married for 9 of those 17 years. Before meeting my wife, I will say that it was very rare to meet a girl who played and loved video games, I had never met a girl who had during my days of hanging out and dating random women, some of them would even tell me that I needed to grow up and stop playing video games when I would tell them that I played video games and loved them. Times really are different now, and you would think it would be easier for men to connect with women who play and love video games too, but after seeing this video, and witnessing other horror stories of gamer guys being so awkward and failing to get with a gamer girl, it apparently isn’t easy at all.
I love how Charlie keeps unintentionally reminding us every now and then that no matter how many video games we play, how much time we spend on youtube, or however bad grades we get, there are people like this walking the same Earth so we have no real reason to be ashamed of ourselves. It's unbelievable how unhinged some people can get over absolutely no provocation at all.

The first guy was clearly one of those Indonesian scam bots that you find on Snapchat, WhatsApp, etc. English is definitely not his first language, and he keeps using "dear", which is an address they commonly use but not something used today by most American men. They definitely didn't go to middle school together. She just wasn't sure of his identity, and maybe he shared the same name of someone she actually did go to middle school with, so she considered it a possibility.

The fact that this guy was wanting her so badly just based off of what she looked like and wore in middle school, when she is undoubtably an adult now; is extremely disturbing.

It sucks that it's just something that happens all the time too. On behalf of men, I'm sorry dude 🥲

For the second interaction, negging is never a great way to treat other people and a person who does that, avoid at all costs. Another thing to avoid is if someone says something insulting to you and brushes it off by saying "Just kidding" or "You're too sensitive", because there is truth behind those insults of what they feel about you.
>"Just kidding" or "You're too sensitive"
Funniest parts are:
1) They claim they are "honest", but, in reality, they are just too infantile to even having a basic tact.
2) The moment they have something they don't like, they whine and bitch even more than "le snowflakes." In short, they love to dish it out, while being completely averse to taking it.
