    Every time you make a video about a mini PC I start thinking how can I incorporate it in my home theatre setup :D

      Hahaha, this could be a trap ♥️ Don't buy any tech that you don't actually need.

      @@TechMishka, the thing is that I actually need something! My NAS does not seem to be powerfully enough to transcode 4k HDR movies in real time. It is annoying when I need to pause and wait for it to transcode ahead.

    Neat mini pc with some very interesting characteristics like the dual Lan, opening the pfsense router use, the replaceable ram storage and wifi, integrated power supply making it really compact, and extra m.2 slot although slow at 1x. Personally looking to setup a pfsense firewall router and this is a contender for sure.
    Thanks for sharing

      I can recall seeing a passively colled PC a few months ago, this could be really neat ☺️

      N200 seems a bit overkill for pfsense/opnsense when you can get Topton's N100 with 4 i226 LAN ports for $200 or the N100 version of the EQ13 for around the same price if you don't mind the realtek NICS. For media PC or light gaming the N200 makes a lot more sense with the extra graphics power.

      @tendosingh5682 Před 3 dny

      @@nadtz Not overkill depending on what features you use in pfsense. Using mini pc as a firewall appliance is a bad idea for many reasons including cooling.

      @@tendosingh5682 Where exactly would pfsense/opnsense benefit from the better GPU in the N200 compared to the N100? And as someone who has been using a mini pc for opnsense for about a year now I'd have to disagree with it being a bad idea. I've also deployed protectli and netgate devices which basically are mini pc's for clients without issue. Cooling can be an issue for higher TDP mini's but that's not what we are talking about here.

    looks perfect for a pfsense/opnsense router

    What was clearance between the heat sink and the m.2 boards like? Would it be possible to fit a coral TPU on the B+M adapter (so added thickness) between the heat sink? Or space the sink up with some small washers and maybe space the bottom cover up the same amount?

    • @TechMishka
      @TechMishka  Před 2 dny

      I don't think so. Spacemis rather tight.

    Looks interesting, but for the same price I could get a Beelink with a Ryzen5 5560U. I'm curious about the comparison about the two.

      I'll choose the 5560U, despite being slightly older.

      That's visible in some of the scenes - in the left corner. For Counter Strike it averages up to 45 in 720p.

    I continue not to understand the lack of VESA mounting. These machines are so light you can easily hang them on a bracket with 2 screws, and you'd think mounting it on the back of a monitor for a kiosk or all-in-one setup would be a compelling use case.

    Beelink should be praised for using a slower M.2 SATA SSD instead of a QLC NVME because of stability? Perhaps Beelink should have used a stable NVME in the first place. It is a silly argument and comes across as a form of apologist that leads one to wonder whether this is more of an advert for the company, rather than an objective review.

    • @TechMishka
      @TechMishka  Před 18 dny

      I have seen too many horrible QLC drives that mostly irritate you by its performance.
      True - the SATA option is limiting, but I prefer it over a crappy QLC and it is obvious that they did it because of budget constraints.
      And of course - I'd love to see NVME in any PC with good hardware. But we both know that a good one would cost as much as the PC itself.
