Big fan of Ash's "I'll play it until it stops being fun" approach. I love big games, but there's too many games these days that pad out their experience with busy work.
So true!
Big fan of Ash's as well.
Grinding takes away the fun
One of the few times I agree with Ash. Her taste in games is questionable (I'm still hurt about what she said about Sekiro)
So true. Loved GoW and Spiderman but by the time i 100% them i was sick of them to the point i never wanted to play them again. So ill never again try for platinum i just cbf.
Any single player game that has multiplayer trophies needed for the platinum, and the servers are dead or shut down. Gaaaahhhh!!!
So True! They should just throw you the trophy for things like that.
Ya that fucked me when i almost completed Arkam:Origins
Tomb Raider uh
Any games that have online only achievements.
True
uh-huh...
Truth
people that hate on multiplayer games are the same people that think they are better than others for reading the book instead of watching the movie
Quasimodo, don't get us wrong we never said, we hate multipayer games okay. especially me i really LOVE OVERWATCH. i hope you understand we talk about the achievements not the game.
I hate games where you have to go online to 100% platinum them. Like red dead. Not everyone goes online so why block platinum behind it.
I don't like online myself so i can relate completely
The Crazed gamer yes!!!
Far Cry 4 had that stupid thing. Ugh!
@@danielelkadi3499 luckily I got the Platinum for Far Cry 4 as when I played it the online was still alive
play online, you can mute other players if youre ashamed of your voice
I got the platinum for red dead redemption
I think you'll find, Scott, that the first Assassin's Creed didn't have feathers for you to collect. It had flags. The feathers were in Assassin's Creed II.
Honest mistake haha
No one wants to remember there was an AC before 2. To me 2 is the first, lol.
They even use footage of Ezio...
Life. I will never 100% life.
Batman Arkham Knight, because of the ludicrous amount of Riddler challenges which get more and more difficult.
Straight up didn't realize the breakable items were replacing the chattering teeth until the end of the game, and went "yep never doing that"
I actually got all of those. Had to use a guide, and some of them were a pain in the ass. But I got em all!
I got the platinum for Arkham Asylum and now I'm doing 100% for Arkham City too.
agreed i hate doing those
I was crazy enough to do it. 245 Riddler trophies. They were without a doubt the most mind numbing part of the game and made using the bat car annoying. To get them all, it took about 3-4 days of constant work. Even when you beat the Riddler half to death, I wanted to beat his eyes out because it took so long to just fight him. Arkham City is arguably worse because it had 40 more but didn't make you use the car.
Just Cause 2 is literally not 100 percent-able because of a few fuel depots left underground by the developers who never fixed it
Yeah, the highest completion trophy is 75%. I got around mid 90s before playing something else.
@@jameshitchen8250 Maximum is roughly around 97.5% - 98% I believe
Omg I never found that out, I thought it just glitched and miscalculated or something like that
This is so stupid...
Yes that's litreally so dumb, you'd think that when making a AAA game you'd manage to make all achivments unlockable
GTA5, because of certain side missions that seemingly exist only to troll the player.
It's not hard, just a bit time consuming.
@@cam2005 but it is
What side mission.?
@@ConnorMcCartney95 oh crap I'm an idiot I thought he said GTA 6 I'm dumb ignore me
Kifflom mission isnt my issue. O thought it was hilarious snd annoying but at least you didnt have to hunt collectiblea scattered randomly that are hard to reach
Lists are cool and all, but this is my new favorite format for you guys. I never miss it.
The Last of Us because of the goddamn multiplayer trophies
In fairness the multiplayer in that game is fucking amazing. A bunch of first party Playstation game that were historically single player focused really came out with some unique multiplayer experiences that I haven’t seen since with Starhawk, GOWA, TLOU, Uncharted 3, Etc.
I Wanna Be The Guy
I can’t even get past the apples.
Tinder. But not through lack of trying.
Lol 😂👏
That's the prequel for Plague, Inc., right?
lnsflare1 If that’s the case I’ve played them in the wrong order...I need to make a few phone calls
Have fun with the herpes
I hated those goddamn feathers with a passion
"F*** those birds!" I feel the exact same way
The game I spent the MOST time playing to 100% was Watch_Dogs. It was... harder than you'd expect. Not only is it hard to find people to do online missions and races (don't even get me started on the awesome Bad Blood DLC which I've also 100%, but considering how few people have it, I was luckily able to find one guy one day and do ten missions to get that trophy) but there's two trophies, one being 'Social Lubricant' where you have to reach level ten in three separate drinking mini games. Issue is, you can't play one level after another. You have to jump to two or sometimes three different hidden bases before you can do the game again. And the game in Pawnee? It's much harder than you expect, trust me. They're fun, but it's hard unless you know what your doing.
The other one being 'Geolocated' which requires you to get all the hotspots in-game. In theory, this is awesome, leaving gifts and notes for other players, but hitting all 100 of em' issue is, while they tell you where they are. They don''t tell you which ones you've already been to. And some of them are hidden...
Aye...
But to me, it was worth it. Unlike a lot of people, I LOVED Watch_Dogs and also 100% the sequel.
thousands of hours and I still haven't done certain quests in Skyrim. Maybe some out of principle, some out of "Nah, I do that in another savegame". But then again, always good to have to look forward to something
i actually got the Platinum for Red Dead Redemption 2 like two Days ago at the cost of a month and half of my life but... it was well worth it feel right smug that i got it for like an hour then realised how much life it sucked out of me and the amount of hours it stole out of me and how it made my left eye twitch constantly afterwards still worth though i think.
My friend is rly close to getting it. He just needs some online trophies which I'm helping him with.
I've been stuck at 99% on assassins creed origins for months. I've put 200 hours into it easy, and I refuse to give up. I will find that last damned question mark hiding somewhere in the mountains probably if it's the last thing I do.
Keep doing more videos like these. Love hearing what you guys love and hate in video games
Project Diva X. I will never get the last modules because getting them is so randomized that the last few I need will not pop no matter how many songs I play. Also anything that has a trophy that requires you to beat the game within a certain amount of time (Evil Within, God of War), or anything that deals with multiplayer (DBZ Xenoverse 1 and 2)
I'M SO HAPPY YOU GUYS USED NERDCUBED'S FOOTAGE IN THIS VIDEO!! He's such a great gamer wow
Ash and I have the same game we'll never 100%, but for me it's not from lack of trying. I finished every quest, completed every faction including optional parts of certain missions, and even completed the DLCs. My issue came with house buying. I was able to purchase every house in every major city except for one: Skingrad. I qualified to buy a house there and the count even said "speak to my steward to purchase the deed and key."
I follow the quest symbol and it leads me to the bridge leading to the castle of Skingrad, but I'm not seeing the steward anywhere, then I think to look down. This is a high bridge above solid ground, and theres the steward's lifeless corpse laying below the bridge. No idea if he was pushed or committed suicide, but theres no way to get the deed and key from his body, you have to buy it from him. I'm still salty almost 8 years after that happened.
Hitman: Absolution, it has these challenges in the pause menu and after failing the nuns one a few times I just couldn't get myself to hunt the rest down
The way Rach cry laughs is to adorable bless her
The Witcher 3- I missed a few missions because I would start them and then something would pop up on the map and I'd be all "squirrel" and I'd get a message that I failed it. I couldn't be bothered to reload and try again....too much to do in that game.
And congrats, Scott!!
For me it would be the Batman Arkham Games. The Riddler trophies and getting the top score on all the challenges discourage me from completing them 100%
RevanReborn96 heyyy, same lmao, love all the games, tbh Arkham origins least fav to do though, it’s just boring there’s meh info you learn though collectibles but the challenge mode maps were pretty fun tbh
Agreed
The "My blaster runs hot" achievement in Ratchet and Clank, a crack on time.
It took me until this year to finally complete the main quest of Oblivion and go to the Shivering Isles.
Star Ocean: the Last Hope has an achievement/trophy called Ultimate Battler. It has you gaining all 900 battle trophies, one of which is difficult to get. You have to kill the strongest boss in the game, the Etherial Queen, and have the weakest character, Lymle, land the killing blow. She lives in the bonus dungeon, filled with enemies way stronger than what comes before it. If you fail, you have to travel 5 more levels down the dungeon and face an even stronger version of said boss. And that's for a 10 point achievement.
Finally someone mentions digimon! Yes!
GREAT vids lately
I literally have never come close to 100%ing a game, and I have 1500 hours in Skyrim
I've collected the feathers in AC2 five times :')
MjauDuuude y?
Ac2 due to the feathers.
Deus Ex HR, stupid pacifist trophie. I tried getting twice, second time checking every enemy to make sure they're not dead and still I somehow missed it.
*Second Assassin's Creed
Honestly, the first Assassin's Creed is far worse, over 400 flags across the entire map, it was damn satisfying to get all of those but such a slog.
I maxed the first and second of the assassins creed series but like you said pal... it was painstakingly painful lol.
I platinumed the first AC, but I was pretty much just doing it for the shinies by the end. Doubt I'll ever play that game again!
I only need the "insanity" trophy in Mass Effect 2, where you must beat the game on the hardest difficulty...
I tried every combination of characters, squads, classes and things to get through the game, and i'm just not skilled enough to do it...
The OG Mass Effect. Can’t stay motivated to do all of those freaking side missions and visit all those planets. Especially since the main missions don’t take super long and I can just jump into ME2.
that Siege achievement is so annoying to get and it took me so many hours to get and to this day I have no idea who I killed for it cause my screenshot shows the person I cluster charged but not the one I breach charged. tldr: I feel ya bro
It may not be possible to visit every planet in No Man's Sky, but it's possible to unlock 100% of the achievements (on Steam, anyway). All you have to do for one of them is to reach the center of the first galaxy while playing on Permadeath mode.
Congratulations Scott.... wish you the best mate.
The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
I love Crash Bandicoot to death, but with the jumping mechanics as broken as they are, I have no desire to get all the gems or relics.
Several years ago I and my friend 99%ed Just Cause 2.
It was a great excuse to get together and was super fun gliding around and blowing things up!
I recommend it.
...But we couldn't find the final collectible.
Googled.
Last collectible apparently is inaccessible. (I think it's a wind turbine that's out of bounds?)
Well... shoot.
Breath of the Wild and Final Fantasy VII are two I can't 100%. FF has the two optional bosses and Wild has 900 Kursk seeds
Yeah go Rach! For me, singularity is that forever %99. I borrowed it from a friend and got all of the trophies except a simple multiplayer one. He then took the game back and traded it in to spite me
Just Cause 2: 99.85% completed. Found out 3 items on an oil rig where bugged, because the rig is destroyed as part of a mission, and the mission completes before the rig is 100% destroyed.
For Siege all you need to do is put your breaching charge on the ground next to the defuser when you plant and have your friends watch a drone. Still haven't gotten the terrorist kills while defending tho...
For infamous 1 I had like 1 or 2 shards left. And there wasn't no shard tracker like in 2.
In my iPhone notes app, I created a list of the games that I have 100%ed, games that I won’t 100% with reasons, games that I want to 100%, and what I can consider as what I believe counts and doesn’t 100%.
To classify a 100%, achievements should not be a requirement unless the game is sandbox-esque (G Mod, Minecraft, GTA, Kirby Air Ride, etc.) or Human: Fall Flat’s Levels as well as Turbo Dismount. It can be done on one or more files. For example, I have 100% all 3 files of Super Mario 3D Land with the lives at all 3 set to triple crown (1,110 lives). And lastly, wether you can do it online or offline. If you don’t have access to the internet and there are some missions that you can do online but are only optional, then it’s safe to say you did technically.
But, what should not be considered 100%ing a game is using a cheat device or a code that gives you all characters. If you get all characters via those methods or a glitch, then put with an asterisk by it.
So with that long pointless take out of the way, here are the games I won’t 100% at all: Sonic Battle, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 1, WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2006, Dragon Ball Fusions, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
CK2. Although I've sunk about 400 hours into it, every time I get close to finishing all the achievements, Paradox releases new DLC with crazy difficult and/or time consuming achievements.
Beyond TWO Souls (on ps4) ... There are phone app related trophies to get but they haven't updated it to work with the ps4 so it crashes when you're trying to link the 2
What are the best open world games (more recent ones)? Played 100s of hours of the Witcher 3 and almost done with AC Origins. Need some ideas 😗
Obviously botw. You sit there and play the main quests, a ton of side quests, you get all the shrines and complete the shrine quests aaaaaaaaand you've completed like 30%. Those damned korok seeds
Congrats Scott!
Love the outro music, gives me 80s Ghostbuster vibes
Skies of Arcadia Legends....I've beat it more than a few times but never went full 100%, I'd love to but it would take so much time...
Mine is WITCHER 3. it's so huge that I couldn't play each and every side quest completely. I hope one day I could complete it.
K RAKESH treasure diving in the skellige islands 😂😫
All of them
Don't fret Ash, I have also put hundreds of hours into Oblivion and still have my copy, but will never 100% it. My game is bugged that I literally cant finish the thieves guild quest line. I get to the moth priests at the white gold tower and I sit down in that chair, but I get stuck. I immediately become detected and cannot move from the chair. Honestly tho I don't mind it. its kind of endearing that I wont 100% it because its a part of what keeps my passion for it burning to this day.
Wait... Does the redhead girl at 2:19 have an Atlantis necklace? You know the Disney animated Atlantis?
It looks exactly like the necklaces the Atlantieans had in that movie.
Well in Scott kidda
I've never actually 100% a game before, closest I've ever come to that is 92% on Arkham Knight with no plan to complete it. Those Riddle trophies can f**k off.
There's one more reason you can't 100% Just Cause 2. There's a bug involving one of the collectibles. One, single case out of hundreds is incorrectly spawned, leading it to spawn inside the terrain. You can't get to it in any way, unless you install a mod to relocate it above ground.
Yo, someone tell that second dude that he could just buy the achievements that he knows that he won't ever get. Lmao
Congrats, Scott!!
Any Final Fantasy game tbh
I was gonna comment this... Each one has an impossible trophy on PSN.
Fernando Lopez I have it, but I haven't really played it. IX, X, and XII are nearly impossible to complete.
Except the tactics games.
FFX is fucking ridiculous with the Dark Aeons. I ragequit harder on those than any game, thats including Dark Souls.
Final Fantasy 7 isnt that bad, almost everything is accomplished on one playthrough
War For/Fall Of Cybertron - Reasons:
Trypticon on Hard, -COD Zombies- Escalation/multiplayer achievements.
I rarely even try to 100% a game - Ash is absolutely right with her assessment. Also, her outfit is wonderful.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt unfortunately because I really love that game it's literally the most meticulously crafted game adaptions of a novel ever made. Love the world, lore, characters and it's a beautiful game. There's just too much to do and it's overwhelming. I may go back to it eventually and actually try finish main story but 100% would be like a full-time job.
I've gone so far as to restart Skyrim and play through the entire thieves guild just to get the "Return to former glory" achievement after it glitched on my first character as my last achievement. I also installed arkham city on my xbox one to get one riddle that wouldnt work with the 4k patch for the one x just so I could 100% it.
I hope Scott Tailford will be more than just "pretty game for it" during his honeymoon. LOL
Smash 4 (wii u)
1. Nobody is going to buy a Wii U for smash once ultimate comes out
2. Nobody is going to buy all the DLC for the extra 27 trophies
3. There are a grand total of 743 trophies in that game
Firebug: is is a german-developed C64 game collecting briefcases in a burning building. Which have lasers installed. It's so darn hard, I never ever could even 1 level complete, not even reach every level's entrance.
Baldies (windows edition): one of the levels the AI has just massively unfair advantage, and you can't save during a mission.
Plants vs Zombies: the zen garden is just... Don't have the patience to get all the plants for that.
Fallout Tactics, Though Guy Mode, Insane Difficulty, with a deathclaw.
Oh,and Resident Evil 2, Tofu, S rank (is that even possible, or A is the max?)
It took me 550 hours til I got Wall Meat in siege. The worst part is I gave up on 100% the game by then and I got it by blowing a window and did not even notice til my squad told me.
The newest Final Fantasy had a hell of a fishing achievement
Portal 2, because they just SHUT THE GODDAMN SERVERS!
Why do you need online servers to 100% it? you can play offline.
@@chairmanmeaow6379 Online achievements.
...Also, the servers are still up, and I can't find a single source that says they will be shut down any time soon.
And portal 2 is one of the best games on steam so no it will be there for many more years
I think he means the hat things from the PC versions
Did they, when?
HUZZAH! For the Just Cause 2 call-out!
When Ash said "of all time" I though of the One Per List legend Jules!
Congratulations Scott💙
This one is kinda difficult to determine, my White Whale is the Persona 4 Golden platinum trophy though. I'm on my 8th or 9th cycle through it, so NG+7/8, and I have millions of yen, EVERY Social Link item, 100% Compendium, I've seen every ending, beaten both secret bosses. I just need to max out every Social Link in a single Cycle, read every book in the game, and visit Nanako in the hospital x number of times with SLs.
If John loves fishing so much I kinda hope he knows the song John The Fisherman
When your mum lets you pick your hairstyle for the first time. Scott.
On Fallout 4, I have EVERY, SINGLE, TROPHY with the vanilla part of the game. Well, almost . . . I'm missing two trophies from the Eastern Chapter of B.o.S. The reason why I'm missing them, I REFUSE TO SIDE WITH THEM. I don't agree with Maxson's views, especially since I know in Fallout lore that the B.o.S outside of the eastern chapter accepts ghouls and Supermutants. And after a minute, I found out that Elder Maxson killed Paladin Danse, after all he did for the eastern chapter. I went A.W.O.L after that and . . . quite honestly . . . I still held some resentment towards them.
Every game that I have bought and every game I’ll buy lol .
Gongratulations Scott!!!
I loved how FC3: blood dragon made fun of collectables to the point of namedropping the feathers.
Glad to see love for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth.
I almost 100% completed Oblivion. Got every quest, discovered every location, blah blah blah, and all I had to do was the Mages Guild quests....and by some fluke of the sleep deprived 15 year old that was me during 2007....I started a new save....because I had a cool idea for a class.....and as I was going to load that save file...I accidentally hit save...and upon realizing this, I panicked and went to select NO....*sigh*....and since my analog sticks were all kinds of worn out....it lagged the input back to yes...and I saved over that file.
I didn't play Oblivion again for YEARS.
Has there ever been a game that you tried to beat on several occasions, but never got to? For me that was FF7. I tried for a fourth time this year to beat it, but I just haven't gotten to see the ending sequence naturally
I love your t-shirt Rach. Where did you get it? I want it!
Kitby's Adventure. Been at 99% since 1997
Mine is Disgaea 4 A promise Unforgotten, it would take me a million hours with so much grinding. Although Nier Automata was not that bad in terms of the trophies, it takes 60 hours to plat without the trophy shop.
Can't tell if they mean 100% as in trophies/achievements or 100% the inner game. Because I have 100% of the trophies in No Man's Sky...but I'm obviously never going to discover all 18 Quintilian Planets lol.
Trophy wise...Arkham Knight. I can't fucking do the Predator trophy, the one where you need to do like 15 different predator moves in a single fight or something. I'm only good enough at the combat to get by...but once you get into the more high level challenging stuff I don't have the patience for it. And considering I did literally everything else (except NG+), which includes all the Riddler Challenges, it just really sticks out as a Platinum I wanted but I can't deal with. You can throw Asylum and City in there as well, because of their challenges...I don't do challenge modes very well.
*Hotline Miami* on PS4. I have every trophy except for the one that requires you to get an A+ rating on all chapters. It's too difficult for me :(
Every game ever for me, I don’t have time to 100% any game. I tried once in Assassin’s Creed 2, but just like Scott I couldn’t get all the feathers, I literally had 99 out of 100 and was not about to go searching for that last one.
That's golden ice cream Joshua.
Any of my old PS3 and PS3 games that had any multiplayer trophies that required a server to play and acquire.
Fallout 76. Because one achievement is bugged (surprise). Discover locations in the Ash Heap: Beckley will not complete. I've found the location, it didn't complete, so I made a second character (some achievements are character specific, but some carry over between characters on the same account) and went there again and still no completion.
damn the pure bladestones
Can't handle em big Ash?
That whole entry was a one per list.
