I'll never understand how Darrin never caught on that most of their problems (other than the in-laws) stemmed from Sam's not using her powers, and things going awry for her.

That's what made the show interesting and fun it gave it a sense of normalcy oh my goodness

I always thought (theoretically) that living life on the earth for a witch like Samantha, could cause all kinds of physical problems, especially since she can't excersize her witchcraft. Seems like to me, Darrin would let her at least levitate once in a while, and do small things while he's not around.

It'd be nice if Sam could do some witchcraft regularly, at home. But with Gladys Kravitz around, which can be dangerous. ABNER KADABRA is an example of this. Gladys catches Sam hanging pictures, using telekinesis. There are many other examples.
The first time we saw Sam get sick was when she came in contact with the black Peruvian rose.

Say what you will about Dr. Bombay but he was a hit with the ladies.... Every time he showed up he was always about to get lucky...lol

Think about it, - Samantha had to fight so many problems, just because her stupid husband didn't let her to use her powers, which she is borh with. Imagine, if he would be a strongman, and his wife would forbid him to excersize, saying that being very strong is "not natural", - since most of the people can't lift heavy weights and have to use special machines for that.

For sure, he should have realized that stunting her powers had consequences. It's truly odd that he never saw that.
